i am extremely disappointed in my rival. i only had ampharos/talonflame and he had electivire/gyarados and his starmie/alakazam. he threw the match by switching to starmie/alakazam!

hardest decision was figuring out where to go, but i figured as most legendaries in legendary mode will be psychic, dragon, or normal, i made a team to counter them. the hardest challenge was giovanni in silph co with his kyogre, as my team doesn't have grass moves.
side note: i'm planning on diffusing everything after i get a few more pokemon and new game + over to classic mode so i do not have to get legendaries (and beldum) for the 501 caught requirement for the boots. idk when i'll try to get the enchanted boots as i did start a for fun random mode run yesterday. (might not be any time soon tho, however i am not held accountable if i use Giragigas again...)

Vileplume/Klinklang: Everything except Fire answer. Has pretty average stats except for defense, but Shift Gear and Strength Sap are broken moves and Grass/Steel is a respectable defensive typing
Arcanine/Leafeon: Bug/Fire/Ice answer. Intimidate, good attack, good physical bulk, respectable speed, high power STABs, Close Combat for coverage, Extreme Speed for revenge killing. Very reliable
Chandelure/Tangrowth: Bug/Fire/Poison answer. Great physical bulk and special attack, plus Flash Fire for a Fire immunity
Roserade/Jolteon: Flying answer. Fast and strong with good coverage. Has decent special defense as well
Sceptile/Garchomp: Poison answer and starter. My strongest physical attacker, with good speed, good coverage and respectable bulk. Rough Skin came in clutch fairly often too
Milotic/Cradily: Fire/Ice answer. Special wall that can still do respectable damage in turn, with Toxic in case it can't (mostly against opposing Grass types)

anyway, Realm Research Ops Admin Gadget in Crimson Ghosts here was told her team must include 1 houndour and 1 zubat, and for the rest she befriended her starter (banette/marowak), stated poliwag and pikachu are cute, and wanted a robot. she is in casual clothes to avoid suspicion.
head eevee talks and made her go on a revenge trip to punch darkrai for giving eevee nightmares. she is not like the evil leader eevee, but she demands snacks from all of you.

Amarga (Swampert/Aurorus) by yours truly (@peak bane) was added somewhat late into the playthrough, but was cool and useful and cool (name inspired by the amargasaurus)

Urbosa (Jynx/Electivire) by @lyric yoke, VERY USEFUL AND GOOD MON moves fast and hits like a truck, carried a lot of the playthrough (name inspired by Urbosa from botw)

Glacier (Froslass/Diancie) by @unique canopy, was added somewhat late but was definitely a very powerful mon when combined with hail and blizzard (snow cloak gaming) and i like to think of her as archys best friend (name inspired by Queen Glacier from wings of fire)

Archy (Mamoswine/Scolipede) by @upbeat temple , fast and furious, was lowkey pathetic until level 32 when his swinub side started to evolve 😭 but it was definitely worth it, this guy rocks (name was inspired by something i heard idk)

Perdue (Blaziken/Weavile) by @radiant kernel, was my starter and is the definition of a glass cannon. as long as rock types arent in the question, he blitzes everything in his way with no mercy (name inspired by brand that sells frozen chicken)

Shimo (Groudon/Kyurem) by @hot fable, not much to say here, found kyurem right before the E4 and decided to slap it on for the cool factor, it didnt really do much 😞 (name inspired by shimo from gxk)

(sunflora's ability was solar power, but when i fused with rotom it said early bird)

Pokémon Fairy Type run is completed! I did a Normal type run long ago... perhaps it's time to do a run of every type.

The most under leveled I've been going into an expert tier 5 E4.

Everyone on my team entered at level 75. I think it could be possible to solo the E4 with a level 20 Dunsparce/Shedinja combo, but that is an experiment for another day!

Houndoom could also probably be used instead of Dunsparce.

The idea would be to have a Shedinja fusion that knows Endeavor. With Dunsparce, it could also learn Sandstorm, which would guarantee a OH-KO for most E4 mons.

The optimal type combos for Shedinja are Bug/Steel (weak to Fire), Ghost/Normal (weak to Dark), and Ghost/Dark (weak to Fairy). Of these, Ghost/Dark is probably the best due to the comparatively small pool of Fairy type moves.

I did the following to unlock it:

• Turn randomized NPCs off (if in random mode)
• Beat the E4 a second time
• Cleared Mt. Silver
• Beat the E4 a third time
• Won a rematch against all 12 gym leaders
• Beat the E4 a fourth time

Doing this should unlock tier 5 of the E4. Do note that it isn't available when NPCs use random pokemon.

If you have debug mode, you can go to the switches menu and toggle the different league tiers (they begin at 1151, I recommend scrolling up instead of scrolling down to reach them)

Well… Puck is a Jolteon/Mr. Mime fusion. Fast and hits hard with special attacks. Especially with Choice Specs.

Ifrit was normal until I defused, fused Whismcott with Volcarona to get Fiery Dance and Quiver Dance… and then had a Prankster Quiver Dancing sweeper. (Honestly, Prankster wasn’t even needed)

As for Kaida. My physical wall and D-Dance sweeper. Crazy high defence plus rocky helmet and Diamond Storm for potential more defence.

Out of my team… Rosetta was the first fusion I had that stuck around the entire time. The others had switches and that. But overall… a fun team.

gourgeist run was challenging in most areas, but had a very interesting bug on both the game and my pc at the end. i mostly switched around fusions for various gym leaders and giovanni. the hardest part of run was finding pokemon with sprites and giovanni.
elite four was challenging too, but said bug made them forget (besides lorelei) they have healing items. then while i went off to a pc to take a picture of the hall of fame thing on there in case anyone wants to see that, my mouse was for whatever reason being controlled by arrow keys. this run is either haunted or cursed...
pokemon used: suicune, volcarona, galvantula, zoroark, magnezone, and mawile

side note: suicune picked up repels a lot like it didn't want to see any wild pokemon and mawile put in work on this remix mode run.

After a long bout of trials and tribulations as her snake shinobis are struggling against the world at large (and the cops, too! She's Team Rocket, dammit! Just because she disagrees with some of their methods doesn't make her their secret informant!!!), Illia can safely say that she is the only title that matters today: A POKEMON CHAMPION! Unlike that weirdo over competitive freak neighbor of hers she didn't have to over calculate the strategies, just put the trust in her snakes to do its best to envelop the battlefield in drenching venom, and that they do!

Arbok Run complete (OH MAN it feels great to do runs like these after so long)

Now for the post game judgment, but before that, may I say, the hardest mono-mon run I've done yet. Legitimately harder than my Beedrill run, which I think I can chalk up to Remix E4 + Rival being insanely optimized in general. Also the fact that Arbok kinda sucks? lol. Anyway! Post-game commentary:

• Hanzo (Arbok/Greninja): I could've probably have a way better Poison/Dark mon to really optimize like Umbreon, Weezing, other more defensive mons to work with, but Hanzo kinda...ain't really that defensive? It's surprisingly a lot more fragile than you think. And I got Gunk Shot way too late to really abuse it good with Coil. But it was still really fun of a mon! And you can't beat the striking tongue scarf forming into a sapient snake aesthetic, right? Hardest Arbok fusion sprite imo (maybe even the big main reason I want to do an Arbok run lmao)
• Fuuma (Magmortar/Arbok): Lol speaking of fragile, Fire/Poison just gets so easily crunched by even weak Ground moves, now imagine Ground moves that are real strong. But she certainly works as a status giver too, able to smite Confuse Ray and Toxic to any unsuspecting mons around. Very decent to good mon, if way more breakable and un-bulky.
• Chiyome (Clefable/Arbok): One of the two defensive mons of this team. Arguably a big part of how I even got to bypass E4 in general. Cosmic Power is really good. Fairy/Poison ain't exactly the worst typing too, but man you can really feel Psychic mons being a nightmare for this team lol.
• Tadakatsu (Arbok/Golisopod): Fun fact, he's the only one not named after a historical ninja. Instead, named after a warrior of antiquity during the Tokugawa shogunate, one of Tokugawa's most trusted warrior, too! He's the other defensive core of this team, and Poison/Water plus Rocky Helmet really does a lot in making you sturdy and bulky! Being able to sweep with Swords Dance and Liquidation/X-Scissor/Poison Jab is a big boon too. Perhaps the 2nd best mon in this team. The 1st? Wellll...

• Mochizuki (Arbok/Breloom): Look it's Spore on a decently fast mon with Leech Seed and Drain Punch, she's the closest to an early game sweeper that I have. Quick Claw can come in good clutch too. I might've had an easier time with this run if I just fully abuse the fact I have Spore with Breloom but like...y'know, that's lame. She's there as a backup when I need to really turn the tide...and it's not even like she can really do it that well. Not compared to most other Breloom Spore fusions you can do. But she is the 1st of the best by proxy.
• Goemon (Arbok/Mamoswine): Finally, this big burly boy! Maybe the closest mon I have to being a consistent sweeper across the board. Being able to guarantee inaccurate ass moves like Icicle Crash and Rock Slide with just two Coils is really great! Only reason he's at 3rd best is because of how insanely hard it can be to setup those two Coils. Not exactly the most bulky when you don't have Thick Fat, y'know. But those guaranteed attacks + Earthquake really yums up your yucky moments.
  Overall, I'd rate this team...5/10? I had a genuinely hard moment going through E4 and Rival, I might even burn like, an awful lot of Potions and Revives. But it was worth it for this, and it's fun as PiF always is.

Next up, a toss-up between a Weavile Run, Tyrantrum Run, or Toxapex run! I'll be deciding this through a quick wheel spinning soon

This was super difficult. Not only did I have to deal with a massive weakness to any special move, but the sprites were frustatingly difficult to draw. And I ended up having the savefile accidentally deleted so I had to start over. 😭 (This is the last in that bunch) In my first savefile, I got a slakoth, was sad I never got one in this one. But aegislash was real good. :> Had a difficult time with the elite four, but the champion was super easy.

horror run for halloween that had some concerns and accidents along the way.
main goal i had with lurantis is to treat the two (lurantis/ninjask named Sakura and shedinja/lurantis named Autumn) as sisters since nincada produces 2 pokemon upon evolution and was going to do speed boost + sword dance + baton pass to Autumn, but both sisters kept their hidden ability so i rolled with it. main accident is forgetting Autumn is as frail as a leaf, which led to me having her sit out on battles.
honorable mentions is for Sakura, as she is very deadly towards lt surge's hopes and dreams, along with annoying giovanni.
(the other accident was forgetting to nickname Lycanking fusion to Lycanqueen, but i can do that later.)

I was doing poison monotype as my first run on classic but hit a wall with the trio birds and ended up doing this remix run to take a break from it. Probably shouldn't have done monotype as my first run, so I decided to do this remix run and thus my first hall of fame.

I will say it has no way to deal with poison and steel types though. So in a grind match poison and steel types could be a pain if it ends up being your last mon.

I'd say change one of the three defensive moves to something more offensive. Of the three I would say protect since substitute slack off has great synergy.

finished the main postgame! im mad that the rematches are disgustingly underlevelled compared to the final postgame boss so i decided to do e4+champ without healing in between fights for both tier 1/2 rematches; really fun game i just wished it wasnt kanto and johto 😂

old plan to get boots was to collect all before elite 4, but brain got bored, and came up with a new plan. new plan is beat elite 4, get waterfall, and train everything i have in cerulean cave so it is easier to know what i don't have yet.
unfortunately i don't got a lot of time today due to work, so get waterfall part will wait for tomorrow.
