Hey all, I've been trying to get into IF the past few days but the game keeps crashing on me and I don't know what to do about it. It just happened again and I tried to press the copy button but the crash report was blank so I'll do my best to explain my issue. When I'm in battle, if I go too long without pressing a button the game gives me that weird blank crash then a C0000005 Critical Failure message. It will happen at different "points" too. I have tried using 4.8.4, 4.8.4 with the 4.8.6 debug patch, and modern mode on both and get the same errors in each. I have tried deleting the files and reextracting them and that has not helped either. The only general fix I haven't tried is redownloading the 4.8.4 ZIP file itself, but I got it from right pokecommunity.

Any help would be much appreciated! I'm loving the game so far but it's been brutally difficult tying to play with these crashes

If you were using Windows I would say go to Users\yourname\Saved Games and make sure there's a folder called "Pokémon Infinite Fusion", but in this case I'm not sure where it will try to put your save file, so I'm not sure where you need to make that folder (I do think that's what's wrong though)

Ok, so i experimented with adding a "Pokemon Infinite Fusion" folder inside the Library/Application Support directory, where all the save files for my other games are located, and nothing changed.

I managed to make it work by using proton from steam

but it had some graphical errors

additionally, I used the instructions for pokemon uranium to run with just wine:

yes, you propably downloaded and unzipped the full version 4.8.4 before patching it
so you could extract version 4.8.4 again in a different folder and there you should be able to start the game.exe with your current savefile
so you would be able to get the badge

The Savefile is somewhere else. The Location is specified in the readme

so i have a smeargle/shedinja and a ninjask in my party, and they seem to have synchronized movesets

they have the same moves no matter what, and when i move the position of one move in the move order, the other one seems to change as well

best way to demonstrate this is that my ninjask has sketch

which admittedly kicks ass, but i would rather have separate movesets on my 2 pokemon

trying to de-sync them by storing one in the box before changing it doesnt work either, they stay synced

this is very weird. A few questions: Did this shedinja come from your ninjask evolving? When was it fused with Smeargle? Use them in battles. Are they still synced? Teach one a TM. Does the other learn it? Get one to learn a move by level up. What happens to the other? Sketch something. What happens?

nah, that's okay. in the meantime, I recommend sketching a rare move and then fusing that Ninjask with something (which should break the sync if you select ninjask second with the splicers) to make a ninjask fusion that knows an illegal move.

The game looks for a file in that folder with the exact name "Game.rxdata", so if you move or rename it it will make a new save file.

The game looks for a file in that folder with the exact name "Game.rxdata", so if you move or rename it it will make a new save file.

However now, upon pasting them into the proper folder, the custom sprites with a letter attatched to it's name do not replace the originals. Do I really have to go through the entire thing again?

Sometimes pressing on an arrow is making my caracter rotate but not every time. And sometime i can pause

The game is bugged and will auto save every frame, lagging the game way too much

If you're updating from a previous version, I'd recommend downloading the full version and just running it from the new folder instead - it'll use the same save file regardless of location, so you don't need to do any nonsense like merging the old folder and the new one

I've been wondering, is there a difference in stability between normal and modern mode?
I'm doing a run on normal mode (with randomizer) and besides the occasional glitch, I've had very little in terms of crashes. But my gf, who is running modern mode (no randomizer) has at least a crash every 30 minutes

Randomizer would really make you crash more often, because rock smash encounters always crash the game in randomizer

the game was running fine for the first gym, but when I got to mt moon the game crashed after my bulbasaur leveled up and then it was just extremly broken afterwards

I played through the game on my old pc and it worked perfectly fine with no issues

Do you have the other sprite packs / do you only want the 65 ones for some reason? Because if it's no for both you wanna get the full custom sprites download that includes all the ones up to 65

Then you unzip the downloaded pack and dump them all into the "graphics > Custom Battlers" folder within the infinite fusion game folder
