download cap just means the game only allows a certain amount of sprites to be got at a time and then there will be a cool down before it can get more. so you just have to check in every so often to see if it got the sprite there. if its not there after a bit then its most likely a sprite that has been accepted but not in the game yet and thus must be manually added if you want it in the game before its released in a sprite pac

Going to sound weird, but turn off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well.

the only new thing with the Mar pack was the addition of the credits to the spriter

this was to try and resolve an issue where sprites were invis in other sheets due to missing credits

do a flavor, since you have download data turned on, see if the game is grabbing sprites by checking local_sprites and look to see if they have the extra info in the file name

like make a fusion in a save first that you know has a custom [maybe one you made] so the game can grab the files, and then save and check

Reposting this since it got buried and I'd appreciate some advice or a possible solution

One of my saves' PokeRadar seems to be randomly malfunctioning. Two things happen sporadically in the middle of my shiny-hunting chains:

1. The grass patch that shakes will randomly not respond to being stepped on until I back up and walk back over it (side note, none of the Pokemon being used are over-leveled and speed-up is not being used while hunting)
2. The Pokemon being chained will randomly be replaced by a different Pokemon from that same time slot despite having max repels active and despite the chain not signaling in any way that its been broken

It's only happening on one of my saves; there are multiple and the rest don't have these radar issues

?tag chaining || this is really all I can give you. If it’s only happening on a single save, it’s something bugged on that save. You can attempt to “fix game” via the help man in the pokecenter but tbh I doubt it would solve the issue.

Having trouble keeping up your chain? Read through the steps below.

1. Gather up Repels and Pokéballs of your choice. It is also recommended to have Elixirs, Ethers, or Leppa Berries as well to maintain PP.
2. Apply a repel outside of the grass ⬅️ and then enter the grass where your desired Pokémon is located. The Radar has its own built in radar that only lasts 8 steps. The extra repel is for larger patches that would require more than those 8 steps. For small patches of grass, additional Repels aren’t needed
3. Use the Radar and interact with rustling grass until you find the Pokémon you are looking for, running away from any Pokémon you are not hunting.
4. Defeat or capture the Pokémon. Do not run away. More grass will be rustling around you. Choose a spot that is 4 steps away through grass tiles and is surrounded by grass on all sides. If such a location does not rustle, reuse your PokéRadar until it is. This will not break your chain.
5. Repeat step four until you find a shiny. You can use items between battles to maintain your Pokémon HP and PP.

After 20 battles, you have maxed out your Shiny chance. After 40 battles, you no longer risk breaking your chain based on grass distance however, having grass tiles around a spot is still important.

Sounds like you updated old (6.4.2 or older) files that can’t update normally. You’ll need to reinstall

Best thing to do is:

1. redownload from the steam deck guide
2. Extract it
3. Wherever your current game folder is, delete it.
4. Move the new files from step 2 in the same location as where your old folder was. Just make sure it is the same name as what your old was.

Basically just swapping it out and you are good.

Hi I'm having an issue where I open the launcher, hit Play, the launcher closes, then nothing happens. The game was working fine yesterday & nothing has been changed since.

The error you are having is due to a corrupted save in your save folder conflicting with your current save.

2. Double click SaveFile
3. Delete the save file causing issues.
4. If you don't know which it is, you can remove the save 1 by 1 from this folder until you find it

there are some known issues with sprites not working correctly, but a fresh install of the game has all but the 2 most recent packs in it, so outside that, you "should" be fine

It was loading all of the sprites before whatever issue caused the game to not open, then after reinstalling the game/restarting my PC certain sprites are just completely blank. Others seem to have all of the custom ones still available in the Pokedex, but for example I have a Polibre (Poliwag/Lombre) that is blank. Diglett also is blank. Is there anything I can do to try & get it to load the rest of the sprites?

Diglett, as a base, you can just manually change the sprite in the dex. For the poliwag/lombre, that’s from one of the new packs that Mordrid mentioned. You may have hit the download limit

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

How to Update to the Latest Version (Windows)

• If you're on or above 6.4.2, double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
• If you're below 6.4.2, you must either reinstall in a NEW folder (since the updater won't work due to bugs) or use the New Launcher to update.
• Reinstalling doesn’t remove or require you to move any Save Files.
• If playing on a Randomized save, make sure to reshuffle after updating. Use ?tag reshuffle if you need help.

The only official sources to download the game are here, the game's subreddit or the pokecommunity thread.

To clean out your computer:

1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and fake data that the normal game doesn't have.
   🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
3. Run a virus scan

Hey @marsh vapor! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

A DS will not run this. the simple hundreds of thousands of files would make it melt trying to read/write it al.
Your best bet (if it would even work at all) - would be moonlighting it with the DS. kind of defeating the whole purpose.

you updated or merged game files too old to be updated.
The update instructions already mention this.

you need to do a full reinstall now.
delete everything infinite fusions related you have, then redownload from #downloads and follow the guide.

These are some of the popups. I put the launcher and entire folder in the exlusions. Popups basically say that there is a illegal website that contains any form of virus.

1. updates are separate from sprites (unless you were on a really old version).
2. that is "fine". you are using a really old install script, where there is a file called that is no longer used.
   no guarantees that it will not cause other issues

Sprites get added and removed all the time. we dont personally maintain the online dex, so no guarantees it is accurate.

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

long story short: you have different randomizer settings than your friend.
randomizer breaks the pokeradar.

there really wouldnt be a reason to use it anyway on randomizer.
the normal reason would be to get the radar exclusive mon by completing the route, or to get them for the dex. (both lose their value in randomized)

Are you jumping on your bike in these places (from foot to bike I mean, not already being on bike)?
The bike does not have its track correctly playing in this game, so when you start riding your bike you end up with nothing playing instead.

if it is the system - a restart of the device using the actual restart option will likely fix it.
if it is missing files - likely you either moved files incompletely, messed with files, or installed in a onedrive enabled location rather than in "downloads", or have a faulty install

Git has locked your game folder from installing/updating. To fix:

1. Open your game folder.
2. Enable the setting to view hidden files. Screenshot below shows how to see that.
3. Open the .git folder you will see in your folder now
4. Delete the file named shallow.lock
5. Update Again by double clicking on INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat or using the Launcher to Install/Update

updating probably reset your sheets, this took them away. so the sprites may have been added to the auto-download system by now but not the game files in the updater.

So they probably are in auto-download now, it downloaded them, then running the installer reset the sheets, making it have to auto-download them again.
