How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

  1. Open your game folder
  2. Double click SaveFile
  3. There is a folder named backups. Open it.
  4. If your save slot was A, go to the File A folder
  5. Rename whichever save file you want to revert back to "File A.rxdata"
  6. Copy the save and replace your corrupted/old save with this new one you renamed
    Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter instead on step 6.

Sprite packs are not needed. When you install the game, it comes with the sprites. When new ones come out, the game automatically downloads them as you play.

The reason you got that error is because you are running out of disk space from opening the game from a zip so all the storage is being duplicated in the app data folder for no reason

In general, whenever you see a zip file, you are supposed to extract it. That is the only purpose of a zip.

I would not recommend extracting that file you have because it is old and has 400,000 files in it. It was not optimized at all.

Hey @last grotto! Magic Boots are an IN GAME reward for catching all unfused 501 Pokemon in a non-randomized file (Dex number 1-501). After doing so, the Developer in Celadon will reward you with them. Putting them on will unlock DEBUG options that you can play with.

How to Update to the Latest Version (Windows)

  • If you're on or above 6.4.2, double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
  • If you're below 6.4.2, you must either reinstall in a NEW folder (since the updater won't work due to bugs) or use the New Launcher to update.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

  1. Open your game folder
  2. Double click SaveFile
  3. There is a folder named backups. Open it.
  4. If your save slot was A, go to the File A folder
  5. Rename whichever save file you want to revert back to "File A.rxdata"
  6. Copy the save and replace your corrupted/old save with this new one you renamed
    Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter instead on step 6.

I already checked on the bug report channel, and I don't think I found anyone who made a post about this "bug". This is my first playthrough. Is the violet city gym supposed to look like this?

It's not a game-breaking bug. As you can see in the video, I could beat the gym leader.

  • Where did you get your game files from? I got it from this Discord.

  • Description of Issue + Steps to Reproduce: I didn't do any specific steps; I just went inside the gym normally. I already tried restarting the game, but it didn't work and still looks the same. I didn't modify any of the game files with mods, and I didn't change any settings/configuration from Joiplay.

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

  1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
  2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

i even tried forcing a double battle while only having 1 mon and that didn't even trigger properly, so either you need 2 mons for that one to trigger, or frog fixed it so that combo of trainers won't yield a double battle

Beware of Unofficial Websites That Claim To Be Official.

The only official sources to download the game are here, the game's subreddit or the pokecommunity thread.

If you did download from a fake site, go through these steps:

  1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and data that the normal game doesn't have.
    🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
  2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
  3. Run a virus scan

To successfully import your own custom sprite, please follow these steps:

Sprite Requirements:

  1. Format: The sprite must be in .png format.
  2. Naming Convention: Name your sprite according to the game's dex numbering. For example, a fusion of Aegislash and Goodra should be named 329.446.png.

Importing Your Sprite:

  1. Ensure your sprite meets the criteria above.
  2. Open your game folder and navigate to Graphics/CustomBattlers/Sprites to import.
  3. Paste your sprite into this folder.

In-Game Instructions:

  1. Launch the game.
  2. The game will automatically detect the new sprites.
  3. If you have an existing sprite that you're replacing, select the option "Replace All the old sprites with the new ones" when prompted.

6.4 has drastically changed how to change your appearance in game. Old themed sprites to change your character to a different NPC will not work anymore. New sprites are being made in #1050404143807873157 if you filter by Player Customization.

Below is how to apply NEW customizations to your player character as long as you are on version 6.4.7 or higher:

Example of overriding default clothes to Hex Maniac:

  • If your player character is female, use leaf instead of red in all references below.
  1. Delete all the clothes files from: InfiniteFusion\Graphics\Characters\player\clothes\red
  2. Copy all the clothes files from: InfiniteFusion\Graphics\Characters\player\clothes\HexManiac
  3. Paste the files here: InfiniteFusion\Graphics\Characters\player\clothes\red
  4. Rename each file to replace HexManiac with red
  • For example, one of the clothing sprites for Hex Maniac is: clothes_bike_HexManiac.png. You would need to rename it to clothes_bike_red.png. Do this for all clothing files.
  • Afterwards, open your game, press Escape and go to the Outfits option. The Red clothing will now be Hex Maniac instead. The same concept is applied for hair and hats.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

  1. Open your game folder
  2. Double click SaveFile
  3. There is a folder named backups. Open it.
  4. If your save slot was A, double click the File A folder
  5. Rename whichever save file you want to revert back to "File A.rxdata"
  6. Copy the save and replace your corrupted/old save with this new one you renamed
    Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter instead on step 6.

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

  1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
  2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

How to Update to the Latest Version (Windows)

  • If you on a version lower than 6.4.1, reinstall in a NEW folder. Don't use your updater, it won't work due to bugs. Reinstalling doesn't remove or require you to move any Save Files. Use the Lightweight installer to install in a NEW folder ➡️ Click Here⬅️
  • If you on 6.4.1 or higher and updating to the latest version, double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
  • The new Launcher can update any version. Link your game folder to it, use the Installation Menu, and click Update Game: Installation Guide

Hey @pure aspen! Magic Boots are an IN GAME reward for catching all unfused 501 Pokemon in a non-randomized file (Dex number 1-501). After doing so, the Developer in Celadon will reward you with them. Putting them on will unlock DEBUG options that you can play with.

Use ?tag proof to see how you get the Dex Completionist Role for earning the Magic Boots in Discord.
