sprite packs are for people who want to play with custom sprites but their internet can not handle having the game get the sprites for them as they play so they add the sprite packs to the preloaded version so they can still play with custom sprites

Not quite. Normally there’s a sprite repo that the game communicates with to download the sprites as you need them rather than having to download 400,000 files on your device at once. However, people without good internet access or very slow internet don’t really have that option. The sprite packs are for those people more than anything

The updates will have bug fixes and content changes but doesn’t affect sprites. The repo is where all the sprites normally come from but with it being down, you need to get the download that has all sprites included. (Which is what the bot sent)

If you are having issues with sprites after using our new zip, this means you did not set it up correctly. Reasons it didn't work:

1. You didn't use our 2.57gb zip download from megaman's post in #downloads
2. You forgot to turn off download sprites and restart your game
3. You extracted it on top of an existing InfiniteFusion folder so it is conflicting
4. You are opening it from your old game files or shortcut. You need to open it within the new folder that was extracted with the 2.57gb zip

If you did ALL above, share a screenshot of you doing step 5 of the guide to show us your game files.

I've been trying to do a randomiser run on IF, but it seems to get stuck on the "Generating new wild encounters" screen. Soo between yesterday and today i've been trying for a couple of hours, i did the predownload, the app and the separate full sprite pack, but it allways leads to the same problem, whenever i'm extracting the sprites (both on the pack and the preload) it starts flashing and the winrar extractor starts to crash and uncrash and the remaining time increases nonstop. I can get around it by pausing and unpausing the download but i've had to manually do it for 2 hours yesterday, but it was worthless since once i reached around 73% extraction even that method stopped working, I genuiely don't know how I can download the game, i really want to play.

Hey @gusty bear! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.

• what you seem to have done is opened the zip in winrar (rather than extract) and then dragged from this screen to somewhere else.

what this does is pretty bad for our game files, because there are wayyyyy too many files for the system to properly handle this.
what is happening now is :

• extracting by Winrar > Winrar copying it in temp storage on your C: drive > Windows taking it from the temp storage to your F: drive.

we want to avoid windows file manager handling any of the files, because windows is pretty bad at it
this is why the guide states to immediately use the "extract to" rightclick function.

doing it that way eliminates the last 2 steps of the flow I stated above

The error you are having is due to a corrupted save in your save folder conflicting with your current save.

To Fix:

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile

Hiya, been running into a strange issues. So, I'm at the Blane fight, and one of his mons knows the move Skydrop. Skydrop doesn't deal damage to flying types, and I'm running a flying type team, so on the second turn of skydrop, my pokemon gets let go. Or so the game says. It seems like my pokemon is still stuck in the first part of Skydrop. I can't attack, use items, or switch pokemon. When I try to attack, the battle continues, but with only the opponent getting to attack. One of my pokemon this keeps happening to has a quick claw, so sometimes it will say the quick claw has activated, but then skip my turn and go directly to the opponent. Any fixes for this (other than the obvious "don't use a mono-flying type team")? Thanks for your time.

Old data in your Game folder is crashing or causing issues with your game. To fix:

Lightweight Installer:

1. Open your Game Folder
2. Delete your Data folder (This will not delete your saved data)
3. Double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat

App Installer:

1. Open the App -> Click Settings -> Click Open Game Folder
2. Delete your Data folder (This will not delete your saved data)
3. Go back to the App -> Installation Menu -> Update Game

Afterwards, reopen the game.

Hey @spring bison! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.

Your game folder has a shortcut to this folder named: Savefile
Each save file represents the save slot you saved into. Example: If you saved into Slot A, your save is named File A.rxdata

So I've downloaded the lightweight version and the launcher. Are the sprites coming in the future gonna be automatically downloaded once the server is not down anymore?

once we have 6.3 yes; as that has access to the new repo

however the new repo is a bit different than the old one

in that now there is a cap [which seems to be individual; but there is a higher cap that the new repo can't go over without frog having to pay $]
i don't the number of sprites it is set to, but it will "download" them as you play, seemingly the same as the old way [i.e., title screen, battles, fusing] every 60s [that is currently what is being tested on the beta, the number may be changed once that version is fully released]

once that cap gets reached, you will only see autogens until it resets

Hey so im unable to get the App installer working for some reason, am i missing something?
I have done the following:

1. Downloaded the zip for the installer
2. Extracted the zip into it's own folder
3. Ran the InfiniteFusionSetup.bat
   which shoudl have then led to the command prompt doing it's thing and leading to me being prompted to install the app, however i get to the point where the command prompt asks me to select install, but i get no selection for it.
   I assume, from what ive seen online, that there is supposed to be a seperate window that pops up prompting me to install, however no such window exists. I even ran as administrator to no avail, and t4urning off windows defender smartscreen has led nowhere. Ive resorted to just downloading the full preloaded version instead, but i want to be able to painlessly update the game with the installer if possible, if im missing something here please let me know.

Lightweight Installer Update:

1. Open your game folder

App Installer Update:

Both options will update the game files for you. If it didn't, rerun the update and wait for it to finish. Take and share a screenshot of the window to #tech-support

i know save data can get corrupted/get deleted randomly, but outside that

and that happens usually because either the game folder is in a place where onedrive or some other cloud sync program is touching it; or because the game was closed while autosaving

that particular error is save data corruption or the save not being compatible

that would be the above issue i described

means your game folder is either in a place where a cloudsync is interfering with it or you have autosave turned on and you close the game [intentionally or unintentionally] while it is autosaving [thus the save gets screwed up]

easiest fix is usually just taking your entire infinite fusion folder and putting it into the download folder on your PC

you can also, of your choosing, disable onedrive [or whatever your cloudsync program is]; you'd need to look that up as we don't have that information listed far as I know

can you play infinite fusion offline ? I'm using the app and when I try to run it offline it says that the antivirus is blocking the access to the server. I did the exclusion and it doesn't work offline but does onine

yes you can but 1. Where did you get the game? And 2. Have you tried turning off any anti virus you have (not super common but ik there’s a few AVs that mess with IF)

Default extractor is horrendously bad, if you use it the game could take 6 hours minimum to extract

Using Winrar or 7Zip cuts that down to 30 mins to 1 hour

The default extractor runs poorly especially when you have 400,000 files. You can use it but expect to wait 6-18 hours and deal with possible crashing of the extractor

I think I have a sprite list with big gaps and I want to close those. Therefore I downloaded the full Sprite Pack (the 1-106 one). I then discovered a folder called "CustomBattlers > indexed", in which there are Folders with every Number until 400 something with Sprites of the corresponding Pokemon. My Question is: Where can I drag all the sprites in the new Folder, are these 400 Folders just unnessesary these days? And if so, should I just delete the old folder "indexed"?

If you are having issues with sprites after using our new zip, this means you did not set it up correctly. Reasons it didn't work:

1. You didn't use our 2.57gb zip download from megaman's post in #downloads
2. You forgot to turn off download sprites and restart your game
3. You extracted it on top of an existing InfiniteFusion folder so it is conflicting
4. You are opening it from your old game files or shortcut. You need to open it within the new folder that was extracted with the 2.57gb zip

If you did ALL above, share a screenshot of you doing step 5 of the guide to show us your game files.

I downloaded the game, but it had no sprites, on YT i found megaman who told me about this link etc. So now i downloaded about 3gb of a file. Which takes 50minutes (and counting) to extract

Yea, that’s normal. About a year ago it wasn’t 400,000 files due to the repo being down.

Just make sure you’re using WinRAR (7zip is also fine) and temp disable your antivirus. Other than that, grab some tea and be patient

opening Game-preloaded.exe gives me the first image. It just sits there. Opening Game.exe, in normal and trying to debug, makes it go into the two errors here. I dont know what to do

Trying to edit code to enable cheats will **NOT **work. Magic boots are only available from in game rewards by catching the 470 Base Pokemon.

The only help we will provide to "fix" your issue is to give you the information to delete your game folder and reinstall using the files in #downloads message. This does not affect your save files.
