I am having an issue with the game on Android. I followed the steps from the reddit Android (JoiPlay) guide (google doc). The game is EXTREMELY slow. I can't even get past the splash screen. Almost like playing Elden Ring on a 10 year old laptop. Not sure if y'all answer questions on here about mobile versions or not. If not, please point me to the right place to ask. Thanks!

So I booted the game back up for the first time in a while and realized I didn't have the newest updates so I ran the INSTALL_OR_UPDATE batch file to update the game and then started a new save with the "Download Sprites" option turned to "On" but still, when I go into my first battle vs my rival, he has a error no spire icon

Hey there, my some of the caught pokemons sprites and the sprites of wild pokemon are all scrambled.
I am a tech noob, and my partner who helped me is a tech nerd so when neither of us could figure out WHY my fused pokemon's sprites got mixed up I figured was a fluke. So I reinstalled all of the sprites, manually, and have found the problem persists. I have a Granskull who looks like a pykymu/whalelord... Neither of us know how that happened and I need help.

Given the state of the sprite server, should I expect a fresh install of the game to take an hour or more? I have a pretty nice laptop so it feels long but wanted to ask since I recognize there are issues presently

I just downloaded and replaced all of the sprites less than an hour ago. So I am unsure how that would happen.

Strangest thing was I caught a pokemon that was the wrong sprite, and when caught, it evolved into the coreect sprite. Very strange but a possible one off.

Okay so I checked on mine and yea mine is not jumbled like that so either 1. The saves got corrupted (which if it’s several saves, seems unlikely to me) or 2. Something went wrong when extracting the game and some files got mixed up. I’d probably try to do a clean install first before giving up any saves

But make sure when you reinstall, you delete ALL of the old files (your saves will be fine, they’re stored elsewhere assuming you’re on pc)

Old data in your Game folder is crashing or causing issues with your game. To fix:

Lightweight Installer:

1. Open your Game Folder
2. Delete your Data folder (This will not delete your saved data)
3. Double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat

App Installer:

1. Open the App -> Click Settings -> Click Open Game Folder
2. Delete your Data folder (This will not delete your saved data)
3. Go back to the App -> Installation Menu -> Update Game

Afterwards, reopen the game.

the "abandoned" thing is something new; android been having more and more issues ever since 6.0, usually the most common being devices that used to be compatible with the game no longer being compatible, we're not sure if the 6.2.4 update did that or the "here's a download that has all custom sprites and base sprites" did that

Is there a specific place to discuss the mobile guide? One of the steps in the current guide suggests uninstalling Joiplay and downloading an older version along with an outdated RPGMaker plugin. This is no longer necessary, as the current version of Joiplay works, and it includes the required plugin for installation.

Hey guys, I tried to enable cheats in my game through scripts, but it didn't work (I think I tried an outdated method) and kept crashing. 2. Double click 'INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat'

App Installer Update:

1. Open the App
2. Click Installation Menu -> Update Game -> Click Update

I deleted everything that was previously downloaded for the scammed version, but after following the instructions for downloading the correct game the same existing save file pops up. Did I not delete everything like I thought?

Old data in your Game folder is crashing or causing issues with your game. To fix:

Lightweight Installer:

1. Open your Game Folder
2. Delete your Data folder (This will not delete your saved data)
3. Double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat

App Installer:

1. Open the App -> Click Settings -> Click Open Game Folder
2. Delete your Data folder (This will not delete your saved data)
3. Go back to the App -> Installation Menu -> Update Game

Afterwards, reopen the game.

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

you are in 2v2 when you shouldn't be [that and 3v3 aren't consistently working]
the trainers aren't meant to be fought in a 2v2 style [you walked up and triggered both trainers and you were only meant to trigger 1]

Hey @calm tree! You can press F1 (FN + F1 on laptops) to change your keybindings!

Be aware, remapping controllers does not work outside of Xbox Controllers. You need to use a 3rd party app like Steam or JoyToKey to remap your controller to keyboard presses.

Hey @cerulean lily! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.

Old data in your Game folder is crashing or causing issues with your game. To fix:

Lightweight Installer:

1. Open your Game Folder
2. Delete your Data folder (This will not delete your saved data)
3. Double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat

App Installer:

1. Open the App -> Click Settings -> Click Open Game Folder
2. Delete your Data folder (This will not delete your saved data)
3. Go back to the App -> Installation Menu -> Update Game

Afterwards, reopen the game.

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

The extract speed is mostly dependent on what you’re using and you computer. The native widows extract, winrar and 7zip all have varying speeds so for some people it takes 5 mins for others 2 hours could be normal

Hey, I've been playing the 6.3 Beta-2 version but Torkoal has no fusion sprites just Round Questionmarks, there may be more pokemon with missing fusion sprites but Torkoal is the only one I found right now.
I just unpacked the zip file in a new folder and have not made any file changes.
I'm guessing I'm missing some files but all guides say just to unpack zips in new folder and not to merge or copy things.

The download sprits option has been on by default and I have not changed it. I try the resetting method.

Be aware, remapping controllers does not work outside of Xbox Controllers. You need to use a 3rd party app like Steam or JoyToKey to remap your controller to keyboard presses.

Hey @lament eagle! Sprite Server is Down but the guide below has the Semi-Working version for Android. YOU WILL STILL HAVE MISSING SPRITES, but the best we can do until the Sprite Server is back up.

Check our Official Android guide HERE. If you didn't follow this guide, DELETE and UNINSTALL everything.

All Android bugs/workarounds are in the guide. If your issue isn't listed, there's no fix. No dedicated mobile version of IF will be developed in the future.

Hey there! I'm running up on the limits of my ability to troubleshoot on my own; I'm trying to install the android version of the game.
I followed the android guide on the website to the letter (uninstall, then reinstall joiplay/rpgmaker etc); playing on a Samsung galaxy s22, got it set to engine type rgpmk-x or whatever the wording was. Version 6.2.4.

I'm at the point where it will start to load the game, but then fails because it can't find "tilesets.rxdata" in the data folder- and sure enough, when i go look in there, there's only a TempTilesets.rxdata. Anyone know why it's missing it, is that caused by something else, etc?

(for posterity, this is a completely new install- I've never played the game before, I'm just trying to get it to run for the first time. I've done no file modification in any way, shape, or form.)
