Randomised mode is only offered if you already have a save file, so that people will play classic mode for their first playthrough.
You can start a game, save, quit, and start a new game if you want to play random, but it's not recommended to randomise trainers for your first time.

I got it... there are two different sets of control settings... if you hit the top Arrow while the game is open, you can change the controls THERE and its changes instantly. Changing the controls in JoiPlay does nothin for me LOL

Old data in your Game folder is crashing or causing issues with your game. To fix:

Lightweight Installer:

1. Open your Game Folder
2. Delete your Data folder (This will not delete your saved data)
3. Double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat

App Installer:

1. Open the App -> Click Settings -> Click Open Game Folder
2. Delete your Data folder (This will not delete your saved data)
3. Update the game again using the Installation Menu -> Update Game (this will bring back the data folder)

Afterwards, reopen the game.

Hi, I tried to fix the debug mod thingy. When I noticed it didn't work and just went to "error" I removed the aded "= true" and thought it would work like normaly. Now I can't get in at all without som error coming up. I think that maybe on accident added a spacebar somewhere so everything got messy. Is there some way for me to restart everything on "data" and keep all my progress?

Be aware, pressing F1 to remap controllers will not work. You need to use a 3rd party app like Steam or JoyToKey to remap your controller to keyboard presses. Ex: A button to Accept/Confirm = C Keyboard Key

Lightweight Installer:

1. Open the App -> Installation Menu -> Update Game (this will delete the Data folder and bring it back for you)

Afterwards, reopen the game.

I saw that someone seemed to be having a similar issue earlier so I tried deleting the data folder and opening the installer again but that does not seem to be working. The installer says everything looks good to go and now the game won't open at all because there is no data folder. Randomized trainers requires to be set at the start of making the save file. Not the update man im pokecenters.

If you have that, as you said, you could try a reshuffle.

I ended up just installing the game again and replacing the data folder of the original download with the new one, which worked. And I kept my original save file too. It must have been corrupted or something.

Git has locked your game folder from updating. To fix:

1. Open your game folder.
2. Enable the setting to view hidden files. How to do that
3. Delete the .git folder you will see in your folder now

6. Double click Game to open the game.
