Might be the issue since your save is stored in your C drive. The save file failing has to do with your computer not being able to save

Yeah unfortunately seems like your steam deck has the non steam game bug. This one is hard to troubleshoot because only some Steam Decks get this bug.

Try this:

1. Open steam in desktop mode
2. Right click the game, and remove from Steam Library
3. On steam, click the button + Add Game on the bottom left and click Add Non Steam Game
4. Click Browse and navigate to Game.exe and click OK
5. Go back to gaming mode and set compatibility again to Proton GE and try opening the game

I'm getting an error when trying to cross the bridge in Cerulean city, I've tried the "Fix it" option and also re-rolling trainer pokemon since it seems to have something to do with my rival. nvm i got it, somehow while in task manger i got it to stay open by locking it open with the feedback option and got the game to update to 6.2.0 and now it is staying open and not shutting down. makes me wonder if it had an issue updating the game but it would shut down even if i wasn't updating but idk its working now, thankyou @late bane for the help you were able to provide.

Any new game update, you need to rerandomize the settings you have enabled.

If you have only pokemon randomized, you need to Reshuffle Wild Pokemon

This is done in the Pokemon Center -> Update Man (guy in black suit) -> Click Advanced Settings -> You will see the Reshuffle options

This will fix the issue going forward, but sprites already messed up you might have to fix yourself from the Pokedex.

I believe your onedrive is breaking the installation. Move the folder for the setup to your Downloads folder.

Then open the folder, right click InfinitefusionSetup and run as admin

For some reason, your computer isnt letting it create/replace the app files. Most likely an anti virus issue, but this will delete the files for the setup to work

Any new game update, you need to rerandomize the settings you have enabled.

If you have only pokemon randomized, you need to Reshuffle Wild Pokemon

This is done in the Pokemon Center -> Update Man (guy in black suit) -> Click Advanced Settings -> You will see the Reshuffle options

This will fix the issue going forward, but sprites already messed up you might have to fix yourself from the Pokedex.
