At least the v5 you can keep your save. I THINK there is a way to get v4 to v6, but would require testing and would require v4 to beat the whole game not just e4

I don’t think that is the case. Whenever we troubleshoot incompatible save files, they are in the AppData folder

If you want to have multiple save files, just move the file in there somewhere else and put it back once you want to use that save again.

Yeah not sure, but we’ve troubleshooted many people with incompatible save files and it was in the same directory. That might be something even older

Hey @low frigate! This game is not made for mobile! The only workaround is to install JoiPlay, but any performance issues, bugs, or issues with Android are not fixable. No dedicated mobile version of IF will be developed in the future.

Hey @quasi pebble! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

I would suggest using the app installer to install custom sprites. Sprites will help your performance since your computer won't spend time connecting to the internet, creating folders, moving files to the folders, etc

Recently the game has been loading kind of slow for me, particularly from save select into game and from overworld into fights, it is still playable but if there is something I can so to fix this I would appreciate the help. If not then its whatever.

Have you restarted your computer in a while? Not shutdown but restart? This will help restart processes on your computer since shutting down just puts it to sleep

Also installing custom sprites would help reduce the amount of time your game connects to the internet and is creating folders/moving files.

yep, you dont have the preloaded sprites

you just have the custom sprites probably, but to run the preloaded you need ALL sprites ..
anyway, why do you run the preloaded? run the normal "game"

would this have any relation to why my game suddenly started taking 2-5 minutes to load sprites? Playing on the main game that downloads sprites when needed, but my internet is strong and it has also been happening to my friends. It's been happening for the past 2-3 nights.

You should use the new app installer to install all the custom sprites up front as a first step

internet speed is also affected by your neighbours, the more people internet use, the slower it becomes

This will reduce the need for your computer to download sprites, create new folders, move files. So it would help

thats kinda normal .. but there are some tips to increase performance ... also a HUGE help is when you have the game folder on the desktop, that practically nullifies the loading after the battle, on map changes or when you leave a house
