If you do it by editing the properties of the existing entry, yes.
You can also back up your save folder and copy it over.

In the … menu choose "optimize backgrounds". Or long-press the game icon you created in JoiPlay and select "optimize maps". This process takes a few minutes.
If that doesn’t work, you can try a complete wipe of the install and then reboot the device.
If that also doesn’t work, make sure you are using the latest version of Joiplay and RPG maker plugin from their Patreon. You can report this bug, get support, and maybe get them to fix it on their Discord:

I turned it to the alt with DNA and that fixed the problem but it shouldn't spike me every time for several seconds at a time just from some sprites right?

No, I doubt it because whenever I got example press space on the start screen, it goes normal for a split second before returning to that mess. My PC has very good colour accuracy, and those aren't just high contrast glitches but the colours just being completely fucked. It displays them normally when I hit enter to continue so idk

I know JoiPlay isn't officially supported, but does anyone have a fix for this error? For context it pops up after leaving the gender/name select screen when starting a new game. I've tried reinstalling a couple of times but it keeps being an issue, and I'm using the lastest versions of everything.

In a possibly related matter, trying to run the "Optimize Maps" function in JoiPlay crashes after getting to about 112 or so of the 800+ files.

EDIT: After testing a bit more and installing/reinstalling it, the issue seems to be because of the "optimize maps" crashing. My guess is that when it crashes, (which is always around the same point), it corrupts a file somewhere. Just a heads up for anyone in the future who has this same problem.

If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

1. Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
2. Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
3. Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
4. Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.
5. Redownload and re-extract the game in full.

if its sprite related then that means you are accessing the sprites from the internet which could be slowiinng you down. Might need to manually install all the sprites so your game isn't pulling from the internet.

Hey @hot flicker! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Hello, I recently encountered a very interesting problem while playing the game. I noticed that the sprites that are not in the sprite-pack are not loaded and almost crash the game, even in the start menu! But when they do load, it's just a question mark, I tried my best to fix the problem myself, but it didn't work out. Then, a day later, I tried to go to the site and ran into the same problem - the sprites are not loaded and the site freezes. Then I decided to use vpn and site worked, I realized that this is most likely a regional problem (not surprising since I live in Russia) but I don’t know how to make the game load sprites, can you please help me with this problem?

Hi, I'm running into a problem with autogen fusions. Whenever the game needs one, it hangs for several minutes. It does this even with sprites that have already been seen before. I'm using the preloaded version, I have the latest sprite pack installed, and I've tried turning the download sprites setting on and off again, on both the main and alternate launcher. Yeah, the game itself doesn't really struggle, it's purely when it needs to display one of the autogen sprites. I'm not sure exactly how those are generated, especially since I heard there was an issue with the guy who wrote the code for that a little bit ago, but whatever it is grinds the game to a halt lol

Hey @wild portal! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

Around 5.3.0.1? They switched the name of the game executable file from "Pokemon Infinite Fusion.exe" to "Game.exe". If you updated from an old version but have like a desktop or steam shortcut it will still point to the old file sitting there.

• If you still have access to the old version of the game. Does it work there?
• Delete or rename the save folder. Crate a new save. Experiment stitching old save slot files over new ones.

I know its sprite related because when I had issues with sprites not loading it went waaay faster. But now whenever I change boxes, fuse or unfuse, its like a 2 minute wait between actions.

Yea, I got the preloaded, alt launcher, just ran the whole 1-91 thing, and do have download off.

Battles and map transitions run fine enough, some pauses here and there.
But the pc just isnt navigatable lol
Whenever I fuse or unfuse, while its hiding already fused mons, or splitting the fused sprite it takes 2/3 minutes to process it. And switch pages in the box takes a minute or two

Ember, and fight Giovanni When I do this the game quits with a runtime errror saying traceback is to big. I'm going to assume yes. I'm going to bed. You need to make a new folder and install a fresh copy of the game. Do not just copy and paste your current version. Make a new folder. Extract the zip into it. Run the .bat file and then play it. Your save will pop up and you should be able to get past giovanni

The real problem is the modern mode file that was created when you selected, modern mode. The new copy won't have it since you never had the chance to start a game and select modem mode. You'll just be continuing a save with a fresh copy that doesn't have the modern mode file. Best the bird then go back to your original game. Again you don't have to do anything with your save

Yeah takes some patience.
Works faster if you open your archive program first (WinRAR, 7-zip etc) and then extract-to destination. Right click menus and drag-and-drop take almost twice as long due to a Windows limitation

To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Anecdotally, on my PC the normal launcher for 5.3.1 runs great, one-time New Game+ file with some full boxes in PC:

• Olde i5 CPU
• 8 GB RAM
• Nvidia 3070 Ti

The normal launcher also runs perfectly on my steam deck under Proton 7. It's only annoying moving the save between the two, takes a minute over a NAS.

Hi, first time playing the game, playing 5.3.1; I´ve downloaded and tried both the dynamic and preloaded versions, without and with the full sprite pack added from the discord, and the problem persists. I´m playing randomized all except items, and the games ends up freezing forever continuously, sometimes freezing even in the main menu. It can freeeze entering or leaving buildings, in transition to battle, or mid battle. e.g. right now froze mid battle. There is no error message, if i wait long enough it reacts again, but can freeze again like 5 seconds after if i fuse/unfuse or do anything.
Playing on windows 10, rtx2080, ryzen 3700x, 16gb ram, so I doubt is about hardware performance

If it works on the new version, sure why not.
Personally I'm a fan of keeping copies of old versions somewhere. New versions might have some bugs etc. And while you're at it back up the save folder too from time to time

Extracting makes a new folder next to the thing you extracted. Open that folder and run "install_or_update"
