For example, the current Typhlosion/Gallade fusion has no custom sprite, so it uses this autogenned sprite

So a spriter here draws up a custom sprite and submits it to the gallery

When the sprite gets indexed every sprite pack release, the newly drawn sprite becomes the fusion's new sprite

Unless it already has an existing custom sprite, then the new sprite gets alt'd
