Welcome <@&392803830900850688>s! This channel is where we will keep you updated on changes to the #spriting-guidelines, #spriter-agreement, new server features, new sprite manager policies, etc!

If you're no longer active and don't want to get frequent pings here, right click the channel -> Notification Settings -> Nothing to turn them off. This is not recommended, as you may miss important updates that way. Turn pings off at your own risk! and don't come complaining you missed a crucial update stare

<@&392803830900850688> We are thrilled to announce that…

You can now post custom Dex entries alongside your #sprite-gallery post! Venopog

Previously, spriters had to wait until their sprite made it to the game, than remember to submit a Dex entry through #dex-entries-submissions , but now, any dex entries included with your sprites Gallry post will now be automatically submitted around the same time as the sprite pack gets released (which is usually around 2 months after posting to the gallery).

How to add a dex entry to your sprite-gallery post

You can include the dex entry in one of two ways:

  1. Use a backtick (`) at the start and end of the dex entry. It should make your text look like this if done correctly.
    OR
  2. write your dex entry after the word Dex:

And that’s all there is to it!

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Just like it is important for your sprite to get feedback, it’s also recommended your dex entry gets feedback. https://discord.com/channels/302153478556352513/1322264824826298420 is the place to go for others (including Unowns) to give you feedback on your dex entry. While not strictly necessary, it is highly recommended and can help ensure your entry does not contain errors that will delay it from being accepted.
  • Only one dex entry per sprite-gallery post
  • The dex entry will be attributed to whoever submits the sprite-gallery post.
  • If you submit multiple sprites for the same fusion, your dex entry will only count for the last fusion you made (you will need to manually submit dex entries later if you want each fusion to have its own entry)
  • Your entries will still be reviewed, it is up to you to ensure your entry follows all the guidelines in #dex-entries-submissions message, including entry length.

This will effect all posts starting from <t:1743543420:D>

You may edit any posts that you made after that time to include Dex entries. Anything posted before that will not have their dex entries auto-collected, and will have to be submitted through #dex-entries-submissions.

-# Huge thanks to @stuck quest for this amazing new feature Venopog and for writing this announcement for us huehue

Hello <@&392803830900850688>s! We have a couple small but cool updates for yall Venopog

not_yet reactions in #is-my-sprite-ready now ping the reacter in your thread

No longer will you have to hunt down the people who reacted not_yet to your sprites! Yanmega will do it for you now malicious Please note that this will only work with that specific reaction, and only if you linked your thread in the message that the other person reacted to.

#spritepack-releases is a thing now!

All sprite pack releases will be posted there from now on, and I've also made an archive of the individual monthly packs for safekeeping heehee

Main/Alt status for variation sprite clarification

In the past, it was unclear whether one Spriter posting 2 versions of a sprite would mean one would get automatically alted (to avoid a single spriter's work being much more likely to appear than someone else's who only made 1 sprite instead of 2), or if both would be mains if both were main-worthy.

We have now confirmed with the almighty frog overlord that a future game update (likely a few updates down, though) will change how the randomly-selected mains that appears first are selected: the odds will be equal amongst each Spriter who made a given fusion! So for example, if Bob made the sprites 25.1 and 25.1a, and Alice made 25.1b, there will be a 50% chance of 25.1b being selected, and 25% each for 25.1 and 25.1a. All sprites can be freely swapped in the Pokédex afterwards, as usual, of course.

Thus, any main-worthy sprite you guys make will indeed be sorted as "main" from now on, regardless of whether you've made other variation sprites or not Venopog It's a fairer system for all spriters, and will allow players to see a bigger variety of sprites when encountering fusions!

If your sprites were sorted as alts simply due to being a variation, but you think they're main-worthy (see the #spriting-guidelines), please submit a report through the Sprite status appeal form!

<@&392803830900850688>

We have several announcements for our spriters! Venopog

First Announcement: New Spriter Tags Doc!

There's a lot of useful tags we have for spriting, but with how many tags there are in general, it's hard to know what and where they are. So we have compiled a list of all the tags that act as guides for spriting. allthethings They include the various guides on confusing fusions like mimikyu and palossand.

You can find the handy doc right here!

It will also be in #spriting-guidelines

Second Announcement: New Sprite Rule! Despair

The rule regarding blood in sprites has now been changed. Blood is no longer permitted on sprites, not even minor amounts. Any sprite with blood will be removed.

Please report any sprites containing blood in #1052360360172199977 so we can remove them.

If you have a sprite with blood and you do not want it removed, please edit your sprite to remove the blood and post the updated version in #1052360360172199977.

Note: blood cells do not fall under this rule and can be used in the fusion designs if they're thematically matching.

Third Announcement: Sprite Appeal Form Changes! allthethings

To make things more transparent, we have made the sprite appeal form results available for public viewing!

You can find the results here.

Please refer to this spreadsheet to see what we have decided, as we will not be reaching out to anyone who fills it out. For anyone who wants a link to the sprite status appeal form, you can find it in #server-forms. smilemeowth

Hello <@&392803830900850688>! We're making some changes to some of the channels for ease of use and wanted to give you a heads up.

It's pinned in #1050404143807873157. This thread is more or less the same thing as the old one, a place to ask questions and discuss spriting, such as sharing tips and tricks, spriting software, brainstorming future ideas, and etc.

to post guides and resources, as well as sprite assets!

  • Third, the https://discord.com/channels/302153478556352513/1094790320891371640 is to only be used for game-sized custom bases and eggs. Bases must be unmodified versions of the Pokémon, not jokes or unofficial versions of the Pokémon. Anything that is not an unmodified version of the Pokémon should be posted to the #sprite-gallery as fusions or self fusions. The file names must be the Pokémon's Infinite Fusion dex number only (for example, a Shuckle base would be 213.png) and the sprite must be 288x288, just like with the sprite gallery. And as for eggs, please submit them here with the filename "dex#_egg", (for example, a shuckle egg would be "213_egg.png"). The size for eggs are unchanged, they will continue to be posted as 160x160.

  • Fourth, from here on out, assets that would have previously been posted to the assets gallery will now be posted to #spriting-resources , such as parts of Pokémon, spritable resources such as flowers, 96x96 custom bases, and etc. Make sure to mark any asset posts with sprite asset, as well as any useful resources with spriting resource, and any guides with spriting guide.

  • If you had any resources posted in https://discord.com/channels/302153478556352513/1051343819314053160, you should be able to edit your message there, and the forwarded message will update! Otherwise feel free to repost your old resources with the correct tags, you are helping out fellow spriters with your effort!
    --

In addition to these channel changes, #1052360360172199977 finally has newly written in-depth guidelines! The new FAQ & guideline can be found here: https://discord.com/channels/302153478556352513/1389011897898111127

If you have any questions, feel free to ping <@&900867033175040101> or @fervent ember!

<@&392803830900850688>
Just a small announcement to tell you that we're trialling a new system for submitting 👕 character customization sprites 👕

Basically, instead of directly uploading the files to a Google Drive, submissions will be done through a Google form instead.

Basically, this is to make things a little bit easier and more organized for the person who manages the character customization submissions ||aka, me heehee ||.

  • The files submitted through the form will be automatically renamed with the correct name using the ID in the form, so no more filename errors to fix manually
  • This will also allow us to collect credits in a slightly more organized manner
  • There are also some optional fields to give a name/description to your creations

For now, this is new form is only for submitting hats, but if the system works well I'll expand it to hairstyles and clothes soon enough too.

Check out for #custom-outfits-discussion and #custom-outfits-submissions for more information! We need more people to submit CC sprites so feel free to join in! ||hats are super simple to make btw stare ||

A little update on the Pokedex entries in the #sprite-gallery...

A few months ago we announced that you could now post Pokedex entries along with sprites in the sprites gallery. Unfortunately, due to various circumstances, the bot that's needed to collect those Pokedex entries was never actually deployed. And so, we would like to ask you to please do not post Pokédex entries along with your sprites in the sprites-gallery for the time being and instead submit them to #dex-entries-submissions like normal.

We still plan on making this system operational at some point so you do not have to resubmit your Pokédex entries if they were submitted through the gallery, they will be collected with the rest once it's actually deployed, but we don't currently have a timeline on when this is going to be. We'll keep you updated!

Apologies for all of this.

Hey there <@&392803830900850688>! Long Time No Update

Buckle up, cause we have a whole backlog of things to share with you. We wanted to make sure a spriter ping was worth it, as to not bother you guys too much. Although for full transparency, I may have let it pile up while dealing with a million other important responsibilities, so I sincerely apologize RaichuShrug @fresh tundra and I tried our best to make this as digestible as possible, but there is so much to go over. Thank you in advance for your patience, and thankfully this shouldn’t happen again in the future as with the staff expansion, we’ll get more help on this front. With that said, let’s get into it.

Spriter Agreement Changes

The entire #spriter-agreement has gotten revised. Some things were added, some things were clarified. Please take this time to re-read the entirety of the updated agreement!

Key Updates!

  • Included "Discord tags and Spriting Guidelines" to where your sprite may be used.
  • Renamed the "Alt Status" category to "Mains and Alts" and reworded its contents for clarity.
  • Expanded the "Feedback" section.
  • Changed base and assets credits to being required rather than optional.
  • Removed "ping kiwi" from the agreement and replaced it with <@&900867033175040101> in all instances.
  • Sprites are now required to be in #1050404143807873157 for at least 18 hours, regardless of if "sufficient" feedback is given.
  • Various Syntax fixes.
  • Probably more.

Spriting Guidelines

As many of you know, the current https://discord.com/channels/302153478556352513/873571372981452830 are old and not very well maintained due to them being posted by a single (mostly) retired staff member. To fix this, we are in the process of transferring everything to a Markdown Document, just like our installation guides! There's a few reasons for this change (and why we're not just using Google docs):

#

Spritework/Gallery Changes

  • All sprites must now be in #1050404143807873157 for at least 18 hours before being posted to the #assets-gallery or #sprite-gallery regardless if you feel that you've gotten sufficient feedback or not.
    ◦ Swablus or Sprite Managers will give warnings to Spriters breaking this rule.
  • Fusionbot will send a message when the thread is created to let you know when you can post the sprite. You may opt out of this message, but you are still required to keep track of the time since the thread was created.
  • Spritework thread names must have both the pokemon and dex number in the title, and custom bases must have Base somewhere in the title. This for better record keeping and organization. For example, a fusion would be Skitty/Wailord (525.314) and a custom base would be something like Pikachu Base (25) or Pikachu (25) Custom base
  • Concept Art, Bases, and Collabs must be formatted as [Pokémon Name] Base by @[user] or Concept Art by @[user] or Collab with @[user]
    ◦ Examples; Azumarill/Crobat (184.169) Concept Art by @.payapon or Azumarill/Crobat (184.169) Collab with @.payapon
    ◦ For custom bases from the Pokémon TCG, Anime, or other sources, please use the "Concept Art" example.
    ◦ Reminder: Non-official artwork not posted in #1263858526829416539 may only be used with explicit permission from the original artist!
    ◦ This standard is required due to all of these credits having to be done manually for each pack. This is to reduce the workload on Sprite Managers.
  • Spinda may only be posted to the #asset-gallery with its spots due to being directly imported in game, and canonically Spinda must have its spots. Versions without spots are more than welcomed in #spriting-resources as a resource for Spriters.
Repeatedly breaking any of these rules, especially lack of crediting bases, will result in your Spriter role being temporarily or permanently revoked.

Rule Clarifications

  • We have updated our standing on blood and gore. Previously, it was allowed thematically, but there was debate on where to draw the line. To protect younger players, it's been banned entirely; This includes, but isn't limited to: detached veins, red markings indicative of veins/cuts/slices, and drippy red liquid that could be mistaken as blood (even if context suggests it's not). Undetailed and cartoony gore is typically ok, but it may be a case by case basis.
  • It has come to our attention that some sprites contain certain stereotypes and sensitive cultural outfits, particularly Native American ceremonial war bonnets and feathers. We have reached out to multiple communities for clarification to reach a greater understanding, and the overwhelming response was that they are offensive and unacceptable in any form. We respect all cultures, and will not allow this going forward.
  • To comply with the Geneva Convention, please do not have a red cross on a white background on any sprites. We also ask to avoid pink and orange to be on the safe side. This is particularly common with plusle and chansey line sprites, so please be mindful. Any found will be asked to change. Plusle's fur instead of white is more than acceptable, and for nurse caps using a different color (yellow, purple, blue, green) or a different symbol in any color is fine.
  • There have been some questions regarding the direction a sprite faces and status. To be clear this has always been the case, but there had been some confusion among managers. We finally have an image to get us all on the same page. Basically it depends on the head/body orientation, as well as the direction the sprite is facing.
    ◦ Please use this tag to pull up the image: ?tag spfacing
Ping the sprite manager role if you are unsure about your sprite and we'll be more than happy to help. Also please keep in mind we are volunteers trying our best. Any form of harassment towards staff will not be tolerated.
#

AI Sprites in Spritework

To preface, we do not allow AI sprites on the server, period, and we know our community especially feels very strongly towards the subject. However with the increasing instances of AI sprites appearing in #1050404143807873157 , we've noticed that the protocol needs to change due to aggressive dogpiling in these threads. The new protocol will now be as follows:

  1. Ping <@&900867033175040101> ONCE and then leave the thread alone. A sprite manager will write a message pinging the OP once they arrive, stating they will reach out to them via DM.
  2. Sprite Manager will change the thread tag from Needs Feedback to Other and lock the thread.
  3. Sprite Manager DM's the OP with their queries to confirm whether AI was used or not
    ◦ If AI was not used, the thread is unlocked with a message from a Sprite Manager stating as such, and then retags the thread as Needs Feedback again. Thread will move on and OP will get normal feedback without harassment.
    ◦ If AI was used, the thread tag will not change and it will remain locked. If they admitted to it then they get one chance to never use AI again to sprite. If they lied about AI usage or do it again after being given a second chance, then the case will be forwarded to mods, who will carry out a one year ban.
    ◦ If it cannot be confirmed, this is down to staff discretion and discussion.
Please remember to be respectful towards everyone. In a lot of cases it's kids who don't understand, so please be mindful. We appreciate the help, but from now on this will be handled by the staff as soon as AI is suspected. Thank you for understanding.

Spriting Resources

  • Do not post non IF mons in spriting resources. It’s important that we keep it clean and useful for the current roster. If a pokemon gets added, then you may post in there.
  • Please remember to not post 288x288 sprites in there, as it seriously clogs up the channel. We allowed 96x96 sprites on the condition that it is actually a resource since many spriters have requested it as needed, otherwise bases in their full resolution would be in the #assets-gallery
    ◦ Please post multiple 96x96 versions together in one post, rather than spread out. To make this as easy as possible, you may edit a preexisting resources post to include image embeds.
    ◦ To make an embed, post the 96x96 version of your base in your spritework thread in which you received feedback for the base. From that post, copy the image link. Then edit the sprite resources post and paste the link at the end of the message.
  • As said earlier in the Spritework/Gallery Changes section, only post Spinda sprites without its spots in #spriting-resources . They are not allowed in the #assets-gallery unless they do have spots.

Mass Collabs

When there's a large amount of people involved in making a sprite, the credits can be cut or not display correctly and cause issues in game. That's why we're introducing the concept of mass collabs. When a collab sprite has 5 or more participants, it will be considered a mass collab.

  • The participants of a mass collab must agree on a collab team name that they will be credited as, for that specific collab or others they may also participate in. This name may not be longer than 35 characters, can include common characters except for & (for technical reasons).
  • When the name is decided, ping the Sprite Manager role, and a manager will check that the name can be used, and give approval or request a modification.
  • When a mass collab is posted to the gallery, the spriter must write the collab keyword, as always, but they also must clearly state the mass collab name and list the usernames of everyone involved.
  • If the team fails to agree on a name, managers may choose one.
  • For sprites currently in-game that meet the mass collab criteria, spriters might be asked to provide a name too.

Sprite Error Guideline Adjustment

Ever since before I revived sprite errors, there has been always been a rule that disallowed users to report any floating sprites. This was due to a technical issue within the game which caused the misplacement and we couldn't do anything about it, but after a while that issue was fixed and a new positioning system was created. We still didn't allow reports for position adjustments due to a tool being planned to adjust all sprites automatically, however this is unfortunately no longer the case. Even if it were to be finished, so much time has passed that it would be unfair to all those who have been vigilantly using the !battle command to perfectly place their sprites. The bottom line is:

  • I've decided to now allow position adjustment reports in https://discord.com/channels/302153478556352513/1052360360172199977.
    ◦ Please only for major position fixes, no micro adjustments unless you are also updating your sprite in other ways.
  • Also, please do not report sprites for the direction they are facing. It's not an error and often deliberate by the spriter.
    ◦ Sprites facing the wrong way are handled via the status managers assign. More information on this can be found right above this section, in Rule Clarifications.
    ◦ If you want to change the direction your sprite is facing in an attempt to change the status, you may update the sprite in errors, but please use the status appeal form found in #server-forms for status reconsideration.

Character Customization

  • Frog has made a handy tool for our character customization makers, which can be found here: https://outfits-tool.infinitefusion.net/ simply drag and drop your clothing item files and you'll be able to preview it on a character template!
  • I have also revisited the base hair color palettes required for hair submissions. The colors used previously were great as base colors, but caused issues when dyeing hair to unnatural colors. Please see this message #custom-outfits-submissions message for a new graphic with the colors, otherwise these are the new hex codes to use from now on:
    ◦ Color 1 (Blonde): f8e1af, e5c092, d6a776, 8f5c3f
    ◦ Color 2 (Light Brown/Ginger): d18e57, b27547, 98633b, 6a3f23
    ◦ Color 3 (Dark Brown): 945c3a, 71482d, 493028, 2e2212
    ◦ Color 4 (Black): 45475d, 3b3a4c, 302e36, 18171b
  • We now have submission forms for all character customization types! It’s a lot more user friendly, and helps out with the background work too.
  • @cobalt turtle , our new character customization manager, is currently working on an FAQ and rewriting the guidelines. Please look forward to it~
  • As always, if you want to see what this is about, come join us in https://discord.com/channels/302153478556352513/1324893397475004527 , and the current guidelines and submission info is found here: https://discord.com/channels/302153478556352513/1324876611119743087

New Vanity Roles

We now have new vanity roles to celebrate the accomplishments of our custom Pokédex writers, concept artists, and character customization outfit makers! These new roles are as followed:

Dex Entry Roles

Please ping <@&1328731005149777950> in https://discord.com/channels/302153478556352513/1322264824826298420 for these roles!

  • Assistant Researcher: Writers who have written at least 500 custom Pokédex Entries.
  • Field Researcher: Writers who have written at least 1,000 custom Pokédex Entries.

Concept Art Roles

Please use this graphic made by Howls and ping <@&900867033175040101> in https://discord.com/channels/302153478556352513/1110680705018646658 for these roles!

  • Great Concept Artist: Concept artists whom have had 100 of their concepts in concept-art sprited by a spriter, and submitted to the gallery.
  • Master Concept Artist: Concept artists whom have had 500 of their concepts in concept-art sprited by a spriter, and submitted to the gallery.

Character Customization Role

Please ping our new character customization manager, @cobalt turtle in #custom-outfits-discussion 5 for this role!

  • Fashion Designer: Artists who have made 5 unique outfits that were accepted into the game.

Vanity Role Clarifications

  • Vanity roles, such as the Pokefan roles, will no longer stack. After reaching the highest level, that's it. We will correct spriters whom already have stacked roles. It will take a while, but we'll correct them as we see them.
  • The Fashion Designer role is only for outfits, not hats or hairstyles. They also have had to been accepted by Frog, not just submitted. Gummy is looking into a way to make this information more available, but until then, feel free to ask them!
    ◦ Male and female versions of the same outfits do count on the condition that they have significant differences, not just minor differences.
  • Joke/Variant/Reference sprites do not count towards any vanity role.

For sprites made with concept art:

  • Only Spriter can get the sprite counted towards Great, Ultra, or Master Spriter.
  • Only Concept Artist can get the sprite counted towards Great and Ultra Concept Artist after Spriter submits it to the gallery.
  • Both Spriter and Concept Artist can get the sprite counted towards all Pokefan roles, Spritedex, and Typedex Completionist roles after Spriter submits it to the gallery.

And that's it! Again I'm very sorry for all of this, thank you so much for your patience.

Base sprites update

Hello <@&392803830900850688> ! You might have seen through some of the new announcements that we now have 2 brand-new sprite managers, @mint hamlet and @junior garnet, associated with a completely new subject to PIF, "Base Handling." But what is that? Well, there has been a lot of discussion about the topic of bases in recent times and how fulfilling a higher quality standard is of increasing need with the amount of sprites utilizing them and their visibility in wild encounters.

So, in an effort to make the game appear more polished and to reduce the number of sprites getting unexpectedly alted for using the "wrong" custom base, we've decided to implement a few changes to the rules and guidelines around custom bases in the game.

What does it mean if I'm a spriter that only makes fusions?

Nothing! You can keep going as normal! The quality of the bases you use improving should directly correlate to the quality of your work and make it less likely for your sprites to be unexpectedly alted or end up in sprite error.

What does it mean if I'm a spriter that also makes custom bases? (that are submitted to the game via the asset gallery, resources are unaffected)

There will be a list of somewhat more strict criteria to meet to be able to submit a custom base to the gallery rather than just the basic guidelines from now on (all things that aim to up the general quality level and reduce the amount of alt-able fusions made from bases).

We will also be recruiting a small team of "base handlers" to help QA those new requirements, and you will need to have at least one person with the role, or one of our Base Handler sprite managers, visit your post to leave feedback and confirm the changes are good before submitting (they will tell you that you're good to go if there's nothing to feedback). You don't need to have the Base Handler role yourself to be able to make bases!

#

Those new additional guidelines for bases will be:

Proportions:

-Must be roughly the same size as the gen 5 sprite (eyeballed, we're not counting the pixels)
-Must have roughly the same proportions as the gen 5 sprite (be "on model" with the GF or Smogon base). For weird angles, the mainline game models and Sugimori art are also acceptable sources (card art and anime stills are not a reference for proportion)
-Intense perspective distortion (ex. fisheye) is discouraged, but allowed if the proportions look on-model and it still sits well on the battlefield (might get alted if it's too extreme)

Pose:

-Must have non-altable facing direction (green and yellow section of the posing chart in the guidelines and ?tag spfacing)
-Must fit with the battlefield angle/placement (doesn't always have to fully fit on the shadow, but the angle must work with the in-game "camera", no weird floating poses that aren't meant to be floating or mons under the battlefield circle. Jumping/swimming/floating on purpose is OK)
-Additional structures to make the pose work are discouraged, but accepted as long as the structure itself has good contact with the ground (ex. foot up on a rock: OK, random branch getting cut off and floating in midair: not OK)

Other:

-Must be free of major quality issues (ex. no noticeable jaggies and pop out)
-Must have guideline compliant lighting that is internally consistent across the whole sprite (top-front-left)
-Additional FX and object interactions are accepted, but a version without them must be provided too. It must also fit with the mon thematically and not take excessive space on the canvas (ex. holding a berry, extra fire not normally on the sprite of a fire-type mon)

#

What this means for existing bases

The new Base Handler team and managers will also be in charge of retroactively applying those new guideline additions to old bases that are already in the game, including "official" fixes to some of the more problematic Gamefreak and Smogon bases.
Bases with important enough issues will be edited and swapped for a new "fixed" version in the upcoming spritepacks as well as added to the asset gallery for easy searching. The old versions will be made available through reposting in the resources gallery so they aren’t lost. Not every base will be touched up and care will be taken to preserve as much of the original as possible when fixing issues.

If your base is picked for improvement by the team, you will be contacted to be informed of the next steps. (If you cannot be contacted, the process will be similar to our standard sprite errors, where one of our base experts will implement the required changes by default)

Please only report standard guideline errors to the https://discord.com/channels/302153478556352513/1052360360172199977 channel (ex. staircasing, missing outlines etc.). Our team will be going over the old bases themselves for the more subjective points of the new guideline additions, and we don't want to receive reports for what you think might be a low quality, oversized or off model bases, as it might create conflict if other spriters see you called their bases "bad looking" for less objective reasons, and it will make our priority of fixes more complicated to track.

If you are interested in joining the Base Handler team, shoot us a DM! Because the Handlers are going to be trusted with repairing and overseeing the quality of bases, we are looking for spriters that display an eye for detail, a history of good feedbacking toward other spriters and that have created at least 3 sprites "from scratch" or reference (not from a base) with only minor feedbacking needed to achieve a good final result.

Some extra things related to posting bases in Spritework and the Gallery:

  • Custom Palettes and minor edits of gamefreak sprites now go to the Spriting-resources to avoid clogging game files. Existing ones will be phased out of the game files and reposted to resources as needed.
  • Certain artistically off-model (ex. chibis) bases will be moved to self fusion rather than "fixed" as custom bases
  • Custom base posts in Spritework must contain only one sprite per post (and it's variants if any) for easier tracking
  • You are encouraged to show your reference, if you have one, when posting your sprite to Spritework so we can track sources easier, help with feedbacking the pose, and avoid any doubt of plagiarism
  • To make crediting simpler, you will need to state the source of your reference in your Assets-gallery posts (ex. TCG, anime, posed 3d model, concept art by “spriter” etc.) Add the mention “from scratch” instead if you made everything yourself with no pose reference
  • 288px versions of sprite parts/assets and palettes are allowed in Spriting-resources, but bases that exist in 288px elsewhere must be 96px only
  • You must group together assets of the same type when posted on the same day in Spriting-resources (ex. one post with 8 palettes, not 8 individual posts in a row, to avoid clogging the chat)

Related to reference/joke sprites

  • When posting reference sprites to the Sprite-gallery, please add the word "reference" somewhere in the post, as well as the creature/character name and media/franchise they belong to (ex. "Goomba from Super Mario" or "Solid Snake - Metal Gear") to make them easier to find and possible to appear under the correct tags on fusiondex.org
  • While you are allowed to post non IF mons as a "reference" in a different fusion, you may not repost the unmodified gamefreak/smogon sprite for that Pokémon under a different name (you need to have done something noticeable to it or made a new sprite)
