Might have to get a mod's thoughts
I’ll go ask the mod team, give them a blip
Plus, if i understand it properly, the software translates the sentence into english as they write it, so it should be nearly the same in their native language
I have this awkward situation. I have @zinc patrol in #dex-entries-discussion who is using a translator to write entries and get help making them grammatically accurate. The only issue is that sometimes he posts the Chinese original text with his entries. He has otherwise been abiding by the rules.
Does action even need to be taken here? If so, what?
<@&306953740651462656>
And now we wait
That's really more of a question for the dex managers
So this doesn’t break rule 22?
Ye but since it's still a technical rulebreak
I think he is referring to a rule22 sitch
Btw in the future you can use #helper-help for this too
they post the og text because they use a plug in translator that keeps the chinese while also translating to english
thats what it looks at least
Oh right, I have access to that
I think it's fine. I checked some messages, it's correctly translated afaik, so
god damn it pory
No access jumpscare
As long as it doesn’t break server rules I’m alright with it
I suppose if it's just exactly what he's saying in English in the same message, then it's probably fine
Plus they've been writing some cool entries
either tell em to delete the chinese part or swap the translator ig
tho as long as they are posting the english translation to their messages it shoudnt break the rule 22
o dile que borre la parte en chino o que cambie el traductor supongo
aunque mientras ponga la traducción al inglés en sus mensajes no romperia la regla 22
Cool, just making sure
Now I'm kinda curious what some of my entries would look like translated into Japanese.
Are you Japanese?
Nope, it was just a curious thought.
The thing about translation is literal vs. nonliteral, too. Localization is a hard process!
Turbo weird weebs from Oklahoma would fall on their knees and weep seeing you say that

I guess I should? I'm testing whether my translator removes the original Chinese text.
Well, that's probably better, after all I can check if the English part expresses my thoughts correctly when I translate the message into Chinese again only on my side.
POKENAME actively consumes minerals, making the buds on its back as tough as metal. When it evolves, the outer layer of the buds sheds and can be used as a special high-strength material.
The cactus on POKENAME's back can store a large amount of water during the rainy season. POKENAME buries its body in the sand and uses the water-filled cactus to lure small animals.
POKENAME's flower buds emit a fragrance, but the juice inside is highly poisonous. Once it senses a threat, POKENAME will squeeze out the venom while retreating to a safe distance.
Although it has no discernible sensory organs, POKENAME can actually perceive its surroundings through psychic abilities. While it can adapt to various harsh environments, it will go into hibernation if it does not get sunlight for a long time.
POKENAME hides in hollow flower buds and eats snow to hydrate. It can roll quickly, but when rolling in the snow, it easily becomes wrapped like a snowball to the point it can no longer move.
I would change feeds on snow water to something like "eats snow to hydrate."
Also in the final sentence, how does the snowball not move if the pokemon was rolling enough to become one? Instead, you could say "when rolling in the snow, it easily becomes wrapped like a snowball to the point it can no longer move."
Thank you, I modified the original message accordingly
And, are all the five consecutive entries above suitable for uploading?
Its body is always coiled tightly like a spring, ready to launch itself away from any danger. The crystal orb POKENAME holds with its tail is said to hold the power to cure venomous bites, even the ones from POKENAME itself.

Is its entry misplaced? There are no leaves in the picture, and neither prototype has thorns.
<@&1210701164426039366>?client=gtx
Toss this in #custom-dex-errors please 🙂 most likely a sprite was removed and the entry got shifted
Thank you, I will do it and then delete the above three messages

POKENAME actively consumes minerals, making the bud on its back as tough as metal. When it evolves, the outer layer of its bud is shed and can be used as a special high-strength material.
This one is fine
POKENAME's flower buds emit a pleasant fragrance, but are also full of venom. Once it senses a threat, POKENAME will squeeze out the venom to shoot at foes while retreating to a safe distance.
Although it has no discernible sensory organs, POKENAME can perceive its surroundings through its psychic abilities. While it can adapt to various harsh environments, it will go into hibernation if it does not get sunlight for a long time.
Hollow flower beds? What does that mean in this instance?
Well, if I had to say it myself, is it the calyx? But I remember that this word is not a common word in English.
Are bed and bud the same? After I translated it using a translation software, there was a big gap between the two words. I thought you had typed the wrong letters.
No not at all, it’s just one letter off though
Don't worry about the word "same", translators sometimes add random words for the sake of grammar.
I think I should say the whole thing before translating.I mean "Did you see it wrong, bed and bud?".
Since the translator refused to translate the quotes, I had to translate it myself in BING.
POKENAME hides in hollow flower buds and eats snow to hydrate. When rolling in the snow, it picks up so much snow that it gets embedded in a giant snowball.
Yes I misread it, in English bed and bud are one letter apart, my mistake
Whenever I habitually omit something like a spoken word, the translator starts making up for me what is missing in the grammar
I will post some machine-translated entries in a row, and then I have to buy instant noodles before the supermarket closes.
POKENAME looks like a Bulbasaur with added tentacles, but normally it only shows its flower bud besides the tentacles. Other than moving back and forth between water sources and sunny spots, POKENAME hardly moves.
The bud on the back of POKENAME can release gases that convey information to Grass-type Pokémon. It dislikes physical contact, even with plants.
POKENAME's torso is wrapped in flower buds, with only one eye exposed. Its light-colored parts possess unimaginable toughness, and its vines can drag the entire forest.
POKENAME often smears mucus on flower buds to evenly mix the toxins with the mucus. POKENAME usually only takes water from small puddles to avoid contaminating the water source.
Due to the decrease in hardness after sand wraps around its tissues plant, POKENAME tends to catch small prey. Its fragrant flower buds are filled with the vitality extracted from prey, and places it passes often leave behind shriveled remains.
The green granules that make up POKENAME's body are sand wrapped in plant tissue. Although the cactus on its head is not part of its body, POKENAME can briefly control creatures that are pricked by it.
POKENAME will set up a bud disguised with sand and then remain still under the sunlight. This bud absorbs the moisture of any creature it comes into contact with, rendering the prey powerless to resist.
Vines hanging from POKENAME's arms can entangle opponents during its battles. Although it lives alone, POKENAME doesn't mind sharing the sunlight with other Pokémon.
POKENAME lives in polar regions to avoid most predators. Due to the weak sunlight in the polar areas, POKENAME has evolved the ability to absorb even the faint light of dawn and dusk.
Are you just going through every unwritten Bulbasaur sprites lol
Not everyone. By the way, I'm not a Bulbasaur fan, just because its serial number is 1.
I need to go to work so I’ll get to this when I can, it’s going to be a while
Im doing that for zekrom
@vernal gyro Please do not capitalize any part of your username when submitting an entry. Additionally, please review the lorebook in the pinned comments and post your entry here to get feedback before submitting, thank you.
@whole valve Please use your discord username when submitting entries, we will not accept entries that use your display name.
@foggy matrix I noticed you submitted an entry recently, welcome to this part of the game! I highly suggest reviewing the lore book in the pinned comments since you're starting out, and to have your entry reviewed here before submissions.
@zinc patrol Please do not mention animals in your entry, they do not exist in PIF
INDIAN ELEPHANRS
That was... random, but okay
I mean it was a thing that happened
@autumn holly Please get your entries reviewed here before moving forward with submissions, just until you get an idea of the tone the Pokedex should take
I'm missing something here, were there elephants in the anime?
OH FISH
Yeah the fish
Plus Indian Elephants were mentioned in the Gen 1 entries
We are BETTER than Game Freak, no logical inconsistency here

Plus we have Copperajah which is that animal’s Pokemon version now anyways
You forgot Donphan exists
Livid
Angry
Mad even
Donphan was not the Indian elephant replacement for the dex entries
How could you be so incorrect
You can look at PLA dex entry and it uses Copperajah
I forgot what we're even talking about
Indian Elephants (which relates to Raichu dex entry)
Ooooh right
The dense fur that runs down the POKENAME's body is made up of a tightly compacted snow. POKENAME has blubber so thick that only the sharpest of stings can pierce it.
idk if "runs down its body" and "stings" are the right phrases/words.
Exactly
The dense fur that envelops POKENAME's body is made of compacted snow. Its blubber is so thick that only the sharpest of tools can pierce it.
Thank you
love looking through dex entry author profiles and immediately finding out what the writers mildly specific favorite pokemon is
you'll never guess mine
It's harder than you think
Though mine should be obvious
It's not even close which one is number one
Mine is totally not obvious
I did just remember that my Charizard and salamence counts are a bit inflated since self fusions
Okay, I'll be sure to do that from now on! 🫡
@rich goblet is there a time when one becomes worthy of just sending in dex entries without reviewing it in here ?
Honestly as long as it makes grammatical sense and doesn’t have lore breaks you can post as many as you want. It’s just that lots of people have poor grammar and don’t know the lore book
Definitely* 🤓
Some times I read an entry and question my sanity
im not writing a dex entry !
rude
me when necrozma
I was joking
actually not true
someone else questioned it
uh
wildheart !
Not yours in particular but there have been a few cases for other people
Honestly, once a majority of your entries are approved here and subsequently approved on the spreadsheet, then I'd personally say you're good to go off and post them on your own. I still post mine here from time to time anyway just because I like doing so and getting extra eyes on it helps
@rich goblet could I get your opinion on these three?
Looks good at a glance, I say send them
yea i agree
also duckys wording is crisp af
I never post my entries here mwahahaha
How does one refer to Oricorio when referring to a specific form? Is just "Oricorio" fine or do I have to be more specific?
https://www.fusiondex.org/exeggcute+wigglytuff/
POKENAME collect eggs laid by other Pokemon and decorate them using berry paste and other organic materials. It is not known why they do this, but this habit is thought to have been the inspiration for a certain spring holiday.
You could probably say Oricorio's [Form] form, but they are also counted as separate pokemon so it's a lil weird
@zinc patrol In the future, please do not post more than three entries at a time. Thank you.

POKENAME are encased with thick tentacles that allow it to bunker down when in danger. POKENAME rarely moves and only does so with the changing tide, ensuring a delicate balance of sunlight and water.
1.451.png
The bud on POKENAME’s back releases chemical signals to warn nearby Grass-type Pokémon about any present danger. It dislikes physical contact, even with other plants.
1.449.png
POKENAME is wrapped in a leafy bulb that leaves only one eye exposed. This leafy bulb is made out of an incredibly tough material, giving its vines the capacity to uproot trees.
1.446.png
POKENAME smears mucus on flower buds to mix toxins from poisonous flowers, integrating the chemicals into its own body. It only drinks from small puddles to avoid contaminating larger sources of water.
1.460.png
POKENAME catches small prey like Krabby or Corpish by quickly snagging them with its vines. The scent that comes from its bulb smells like cooked fish, drawing the attention of Trainers and Pokémon alike.
1.459.png
Each green granule that makes up POKENAME’s body is wrapped in plant tissue. Those who are pricked by the cactus on its head feel numb, as though POKENAME is trying to control them.
1.458.png
POKENAME hides flower buds in the sand around it to rapidly sap moisture from anyone near it. These traps can remain effective for several days at a time before withering away.
1.456.png
Vines hanging from POKENAME’s arms entangle foes during battle. While it is a solitary creature, it tolerates the presence of other Pokémon while it is sunbathing.
1.461.png
POKENAME live in cold regions away from the many predators in warmer climates. As sunlight is weaker in these regions, POKENAME can absorb faint light found at dawn and dusk.
@zinc patrol You're welcome.
POKENAME are often found in open plains near citys, racing each other for fun. Their tail is able to generate electricty through the running, giving them a noticable boost in agility.
By quickly rubbing their cheeks, POKENAME are able to generate a high amounts of energy, stored in their ears. The more energy they stored, the brighter glow their ears and cheeks.
While having wings, POKENAME stay mainly on the ground absorbing electricity through theirs ears. By concentrating the generated electricity into their feet can they reach the speed of a lightning bolt.
(idk if the second sentence is prober english tbf ⬆️ )
POKENAME often dig tunnels near power plants, enjoying the electricity in the ground. They can store some of that electricity in their cheek pouches, delivering a shocking bite when threatened.
POKENAME have developed electrified barbs all over their body., working like protective quills. The electricity running through their whiskers helps them navigate in the dark and even underground, where they form large families with their kind.
POKENAME are able to concentrate the electricity running through their body into their claws, helping them dig underground tunnels for their families. When with friends or family, they tuck in their electrified barbs to prevent accidental injuries.
@fading shale Please limit yourself to three entries at a time in the future.

oh ok...
someone else also posted os many so i thought il put out all i thought about...
sorry

Not your fault, you didn’t know. Just keep in mind to share the space with others, lots of new writers lately so I want to make sure everyone feels welcome.
Why would it get a question mark?
no no not ?

it was a question

thank u
@severe scroll Just so you know and are looped in, with how many new authors are coming in, we would like to limit the number of entries in review at a time to three. I know you like to post your entries in bulk so I am letting you know.
This isn’t an official request but I figure it made sense to those who are already posting a lot
Like if you accidentally post four I’m not going to burn the place down but just keep in mind everyone uses this space
(just one more to finish the tree)
POKENAME are often the heads of large families or groups of their kind. The wings on their backs are extremely sturdy, able to shield others from falling boulders.
Loose rubble
i appreciate all the time u put in my suggestions ducky just so you know
You should have seen stuff before I was here
rests fine ?
I broke out of sleep. Regarding the one I was pointing at, I thought the yellow color around its bud might mean it was a false bud, an illusion like a mirage.
Yeah the rest of the entry is fine
I’d prefer three since it covers an evolutionary line, and because there’s at least three people who will be doing roughly the same amount
aw okay
reasonable
I will do three of them honestly. In addition, what if there are fans of Ibrahimovic
Um, Eevee
Thank you for understanding, I see a lot of new author's and I'm happy about it, but it gets a little much when I also approve entries
cant u get someone else to help u ?
if its all you i sure feel its alot u go through xd
Eevee has like 9 evolutions, but please only do three at a time. You can always post more when I get back to it
Ohh so its not 3 a day its 3 per checking
You can always ping an Unown if you urgently need help, it's just that my schedule is basically like babysitting and its part time, so I get to it first
Yeah it's like that, three messages from three people fill up a screen pretty fast
It also allows me to distribute the help over multiple people so no one feels left out
not urgent
sometimes just like now im totally in the flow and it rlly helps me with my private problems crushing me atm to wind down on those entries
You should start a google document for these sort of things, or just a journal or something. You can always copy paste later
I was once a young author and had flow states, so I get it. It's more to share the space
POKENAME will set a trap made of sand, which looks like a flower bud in the sunlight. This trap absorbs the moisture of nearby creatures, making it impossible for the prey to resist.?client=gtx
I translated it again, hoping it would express my original meaning this time.
I think if you said
POKENAME sets traps made out of sand that look like flower buds. This trap absorbs moisture from nearby creatures, making prey too tired to escape.
It would work better
I mean maybe it is proximity based, I don't question it too much

It's a slow-acting trap, like an exaggerated version of a sponge. (The original settings were definitely not changed to save word count
)
ah
I can see it
Damn it, memes can't be translated effectively. I originally wrote the contact, but later found that it seemed to be easier to read closer.
memes are very hard to translate
POKENAME can accumulate enough nutrients during the polar day to last an entire year and store them in its flower buds. Its green fins can absorb light even in the darkest places, adapting to extreme weather.
Wild POKENAME often live alone, focusing on gathering nutrients for their buds. The tips of its vines grow woody spikes, which can be flexibly used in battle.
I haven't saved up 3 yet, but I'll give it away first
The phrase "polar day" does not exist in English so I'm doing my best with what I am given.
1.462.png
POKENAME accumulates enough nutrients during a day in the tundra to last an entire year, storing that energy in its flower buds. Its green sail can absorb energy in low light conditions, as long as the sun is shining.

The word I entered into the translator refers to the following
Midnight sun, also known as polar day, is a natural phenomenon that occurs in the summer months in places north of the Arctic Circle or south of the Antarctic Circle, when the Sun remains visible at the local midnight. When midnight sun is seen in the Arctic, the Sun appears to move from left to right. In Antarctica, the equivalent apparent moti...
One moment
POKENAME accumulates nutrients during a single polar day to last an entire year, storing that energy in its flower bud. Its green sail absorbs energy in low light conditions as long as the sun is shining; excess energy is crystallized as dust.
I'm going to grab a bite, y'all be good now.
No riot.
polar day is a thing
It's not a commonly heard phrase unless you live near the arctic circle or are really into polar-based science, though
This has been resolved 😅
EDIT: I didn't know it at the time but I know now, and incorporated it into the entry.
I wonder why I didn't know of it sooner
Let me ask in advance, is "Smoldering Combustion" a commonly used concept in English? If not, what do I call burning without visible light?
It isn't common but its effects can be inferred from the words
Like people can figure out what it means based on the words
That's good, I'm relieved.
POKENAME absorbs sunlight through its green shell to maintain an internal smolder. When needed, POKENAME can increase humidity to release smoke or ignite renewable vines to launch an attack.
POKENAME can move flexibly through the forest. When encountering enemies, POKENAME wraps pebbles in bitter foam and throws them to disturb the enemies.
This is fine as is, you're slowing picking things up
move flexibly? Do you mean agile? Just making sure before I make small changes
Ah, yes
POKENAME move swiftly through the forest, hopping between branches with great agility. When encountering enemies, POKENAME wraps pebbles in bitter foam and throws them to disrupt their enemies' concentration.
@willow venture I see you, how you doing? Hope your studies are going well. You have finals don't you?
I assume it is finals, I tend to be older than people expect
I don't know who told you about studies but I'm already a working guy lmao
I might be around your age man ngl
How is work treating you then?
Shit as usual lol
I find the internet tends to skew young so I try to cover my bases
All this with less than bare minimum pay but you know we soldier on

A question suddenly occurred to me. Can pictures of existing entries be used to create new entries? If it is, that means I don't have to worry about which entry is not good enough and takes a spot, because something better can come and take its place.
If a sprite has an alt (like a, b, c) then it can have its own entry
You just type like
1.1a.png for the a alt sprite
If I write a mediocre entry and it passes review, can someone with a better idea later submit a new entry to replace me? I don't want me to leave some kind of flaw in this project that's hard to fix.
A single sprite can have multiple entries as long as they are not from the same author.
We're still working on how to show all the entries (if we keep them all) but for now that is the policy
That's good
So it seems that instead of looking for great ideas, it is also a good idea to correct the unreasonable parts of the automatic splicing illustrations first. Just read the two original illustrations carefully.
Oh, that's right, only custom sprites can have entries.
In other words, only art made by a person gets a Pokedex entry
If a sprite is grey in fusiondex.org it means it is automatically spliced and unable to get an entry
is the sheet freaking out?
Translator for everyday psychosis. I'm referring to automatic entries for artworks.
or is my pc dying
The automatic entries for artworks are temporary. It is why this channel exists, we do not like the automatic entries.
The more creative and special the entry is, the more likely it is to be kept.
I routinely deny low quality entries, so don't worry about quality, I'm also the one likely to judge them
@hexed fog It is a little slow on my end
That's why I'm eyeing the artwork with only auto-entry, after all even the version that isn't corrected here is so much better than the "Auto-spliced Pokédex Entry".
That's fine! My only concern is that it might get boring after a while, so feel free to write for ones that are your favorite Pokemon
I write a lot for Psyduck
@zinc patrol By the way, you can use this site to keep track of the entries you've written
https://www.fusiondex.org/authors/oreee0230/
Oh, they're on the website already? I thought it would be at the end or beginning of the month.
Whenever @hexed fog updates the game, it usually is updated in the website shortly after. You can see when the last update is in the pinned comments.
The lower leaves of POKENAME have an incredible elasticity. They often stretch the leaves to increase the area exposed to sunlight, and the individuals that stretch the most become the leaders of the group.
POKENAME have elastic pants made out of leaves. By stretching these pants, they increase the surface area that can absorb sunlight to gain more energy. Those who can stretch the pants over their head are most likely to become leaders of a group.
New avatar...well another kind of duck
Wait, I remember the requirement is two sentences?
Typically 2-3 sentences, not strict requirement
It can be one if it is long enough, the point was to discourage short sentences
"It is red. It likes cakes. It does not like pies."
^ This would be poor form, since it doesn't have substance to the sentences
Yeah I switch it from time to time
POKENAME's short legs are not good at walking, but it is very good in water. It can hardly move on land because of the weight of its flower bud.
POKENAME can barely move on land because of the weight of its flower bud and its short, stubby legs. Its swimming ability is much better by comparison, so it prefers to stay in the water.
@zinc patrol
POKENAME will continuously absorb sunlight and thicken its buds, not caring if it becomes too heavy to fly. If it encounters a danger that the buds cannot withstand, it will escape rapidly in another form.

All Grass-type Pokémon cannot resist POKENAME's beauty. POKENAME can revive withered plants, but it only uses this ability on plants that have encountered accidents.

There are times when I feel like Thanos is a successful philosopher, especially regarding the curse of knowledge. No one knows how much shock I experienced when I first saw those two yellow pistils.
The first part is a bit weird and overpowered, espeically since plants normally don't feel attraction
I think it's normal for Mythical Pokémon to have special abilities. Also, it is a grass-type Pokémon, not a plant.
Please ignore those singular forms, the quantity will not be specially marked in Chinese, and the translator will add it randomly according to his understanding.
Just now the translator interpreted the singular form as an odd number
I think saying no grass-type pokemon period can resist it is a bit too far. I would say most instead
Yeah it shouldn't break the lore of the game
I'll still cook something up though, watch me
Grass-type Pokémon feel a certain subserviance when encountering POKENAME's beauty. POKENAME can revive plants from the brink of death, restoring vitality to plants caught in disasters.
omg, Ducky changed their profile pic!
Yes I did
Okay, to me, the fantasy Pokémon just needs to stay special, not necessarily powerful, so this change is in line with expectations.
I mean Mythical Pokémon

The crystal-like half of POKENAME's lower body is thought to be made of enhydro agate and contain pockets of pure water. These Pokemon have only been recorded roaming caves where underground lakes form.
Enhydro agates are nodules, agates, or geodes with water trapped inside its cavity. Enhydros are closely related to fluid inclusions, but are composed of chalcedony. The formation of enhydros is still an ongoing process, with specimens dated back to the Eocene Epoch. They are commonly found in areas with volcanic rock.

I'd like to answer you directly but I don't know the answer, and this channel focuses on Pokédex entries. Well I'm new here and don't know where the correct channel is for this question. I think we should wait for someone who knows any of the above to come online.
There is a list of Pokémon that are a priority on the approval sheet, but it is entirely optional to complete them.
As for a list of fusions found in a normal playthrough, technically all combinations are found in a normal playthrough, except the Hoenn exclusives (PIF Hoenn is still being developed)
any fusions you meet in the wild should already have at least one entry i think, they prioritized a pass on those a long time ago
Thanks!
Yes please tell us if you find any wild mons with no entry
I’ll be at work for a bit so if anyone needs anything just ping an Unown
This also looks fine by the way, one can infer what it means with the words around it
This Pokémon is like a pelican right? How does it lower the vigilance of its prey?
POKENAME emits electrical currents that accelerate the development of nearby plants. It leaks electricity from its ears when excited.
POKENAME generates electricity that accelerates plant growth when discharged. It leaks electricity from its bulbous head when it is depressed.
Hey! So in the lorebook it says "Nothing and no one can be stated to be a god in an entry, and angels and demons do not exist in the PIF world." But what about deities? Can an entry say a pokemon is considered a deity? People can worship mundane things too right?
I believe if you frame it like "Ancient cultures once regarded [WHATEVER] as a deity/spirit/etc." it should be alright
basically keeping it vague or framing it like a legend/myth
And as long as Pokemon themselves dont worship whatever it is, as animals dont have religion
I see, thanks! I'll try working around that hjahaha
POKENAME was once regarded as a deity by an ancient civilization. It was said that picking up a fallen scale of this Pokémon would bring beauty to the founder's descendants.
Something like that maybe?
POKENAME live in spherical shells that are incredibly smooth, allowing them to roll seamlessly. They tend to outgrow these shells, and are left in an incredibly vulnerable state if they are unable to find a larger shell in time.
I tried to go with some hermit crab typa vibe
Entries must refer to a species of Pokemon, this describes one instance of the Pokemon
All POKENAME were once regarded as deities by an ancient civilization. It was said that picking up a fallen scale of this Pokémon would bring beauty to the finder's descendants.
Generalizing?
What does founder’s descendants mean here? I’m a little confused
emm what founder as in the one who finds, not founding something
let me look fot he correct word LMAO
finder
sorry I had a brain fart LOL
Is descendants an important part of the entry to you? You could say “bring beauty to those who find one”
I thought about it as it would make more sense in the context, but I didn't know how accepted a sudden change of appearance was?
POKENAME live in spherical shells that are incredibly smooth, allowing them to roll seamlessly. They tend to outgrow these shells, and are left in an incredibly vulnerable state if they are unable to find a replacement.
but it's a myth so can make sense
When POKENAME's head is stepped on, it shoots bubbles out of it's mouth as a distraction and slithers swiftly away to the nearest rocks.
I didn't know for this one if it's better to say "When pokename's head is stepped on" or "When someone steps on pokename's head"
POKENAME was once regarded as a deity by an ancient civilization. It was said that picking up a fallen scale of this Pokémon would bring beauty to those who find one, instantly clearing their skin of blemishes and scars.
@abstract tusk
Why would its head be stepped on? And a distraction from what? How does it escape from underfoot?
Doesn't that still have the singular focus issue though?
But isn't that refering to one instance of the mon? I like the final part!
Like, when you walk on the beach you can accidentally step on animals, and like bubbles as distraction because it thinks it's a predator? like a squid with the ink
I can change it for you don't worry
Let me finish typing please
POKENAME were once regarded as deities by ancient civilizations. Legends say that picking up a fallen scale from one of these Pokémon would bring beauty to those who find one, instantly clearing their skin of blemishes and scars.
as deities. Adjust plural
Done!
👍
thanks a lot!
Thanks Wildheart
No problem, saves me time in Dexdoku reviews later
and do you like this explanation or should I change up the entry all together? hahaha
Well then you can say something like "POKENAME slither through sandy coastlines to hunt for prey. If one of them is stepped on by a passing Trainer, it will scatter bubbles as a distraction and hide amongst the rocks."
You shouldn't assume everyone will make the same connections as you automatically. If you have logic behind the meaning of your entry, always try to communicate it within the entry to guide the reader's logic.
Ohh, thanks! I'll try to think more National Geographic-like to be more impersonal and neutral yeah
How does this entry look? I'm a little unsure about if the second sentence is kosher or not
I was trying to go with something akin to IRL cookie-cutter sharks
Well to be fair, you should still try to write about what you want to, it's just about understanding the format and being creative in how you bring out the personal voice, intentions, or comedy.
Like for example:
Don't say "Aww, look at the precious little guy!"
Instead say something like "Trainers fawn over POKENAME's adorable demeanor, leading to many struggling to give their Pokémon commands in battle against them."
ripping off chunks of flesh might sound a little too gory, but the pokedex does say mareanie breaks off branches of corsola when hunting lol... i guess there's a very very thin line between those 2 things haha
*maybe you can say "It leaves distinctive bite marks in the leafy appendages of Dhelmise it hunts"
that's a big change i know, doesn't have to be that, just an example
POKENAME's internal gem is really valued amongst jewelers. Its pointy shell is as sharp as a diamond and protects it from anyone who attempts to seize its gemstone.
I tried to keep this one more neutral
but idk about if the gem's considered the brain/pokemon itself like starmie? I chose to believe not LOL
"Valued highly"
and highly valued?
Maybe instead of "shearing off a chunk of flesh, say something like "breaking through" or "working piece by piece", something to communicate the intention without being as visceral.
I think also good?
actually just "leaving distinctive bite marks on its prey" might be fine
like, i have bite marks from my cat 😂 but i'm not missing chunks of flesh. mostly
My intention is "Clampedo swims up to a large Water-type Pokemon, takes a single clean bite out of it, and swims away with that bite in its mouth"
What does your current entry look like?
This part we can keep:
The edge of a POKENAME’s shell is covered in rows of tiny teeth, giving the shell a razor-sharp edge that never grows dull.
I was thinking we can change the second sentence as follows:
When eating large prey, it tears a massive chunk from its meal as though it were sliced with a cookie cutter.
Had to fix something but what you think?
I might use that change, or I might write a new sentence. I had a few different ideas in mind for Sentence 2 so I have backups
While I'm here, I have another entry-related question
How does the second sentence of this look?
That’s one sentence
er, second half
Oh
the part about swim bladders
Mostly I was curious about stating the existence of swim bladders
I mean they exist, it’s fine
As well as using "Water-type Pokemon" as a replacement for "fish", since many Water-types wouldn't have a swim bladder (e.g. Wingull)
debating replacing "Water-type" with "piscine" [maybe sic]
If that’s your concern replace other with many
alrighty
yeah if you say "Many people do X" it means that lots of but not all of them do it
Hope that helps
I'm not sure if I should report this here but my game crashes at this Pokedex entry
This is more of a #tech-support issue

Nectar rich in nutrients can be squeezed out of POKENAME's buds. Other Pokémon, especially those raising young, will do their best to take care of it in exchange for the nectar.
https://www.fusiondex.org/bulbasaur+castform/
POKENAME's appearance changes with the weather. The bud under its body can not only absorb moisture from the air but also predict the weather.
If they look from below, small prey can only see a bud with a few leaves.
I still don’t see the connection
Like it looks up at the sky and sees a bulb? How does it make a Pokémon lower its guard? It doesn’t make sense
Okay, how about waiting in a tree instead?
Maybe, feel free to rewrite it and I’ll let you know afterwards
I modified the original message
I’m still confused, so it looks like something while at an angle? A lot of Pokemon can do that, it isn’t really anything significant
Indeed, many Pokémon can do it, so I often mention bud camouflage in other entries, but most of them are used for self-defense, this time it is used for hunting.
Bulbasaur's color is originally a protective color, so I think this is fairly expected.
How is it a protective color?
Like this is a Pelipper fusion so it should be camouflaged into the sky with white or blue
The venue I expected was in the forest. Well, the first thing that comes to mind when mentioning the large-billed gull is the sea.
But I even wrote tree
Add to
I need to take some time to do some yard work, feel free to Ping an Unown to get help or wait until I’m back
Well, forget about the green-chinned pelican. I'll post another entry to make it up to 3. Later I will try how to use the mobile version of discord.
https://www.fusiondex.org/sprite/pif/1.554a/
POKENAME in the rain. It takes this time to cleanse its insides through periodic absorption and expulsion of water.
Do we have a list of Pokémon that can affect/delete/alter/add memories? I can only think of Uxie and Malamar, but I'm positive there's others.
Not the same but Latios can make people see images it imagines
Sight sharing :) I believe both the latis can do that
POKENAME has nutritious nectar oozing out of its shining buds. Those tasked with raising children often help POKENAME in exchange for this nectar, feeding it to their young.
This one looks good enough, feel free to send it, I’ll fix any grammar errors tomorrow
POKENAME cleanses its body through the absorption and expulsion of rainwater. Once this rainwater is flushed through its body, it can be harnessed as liquid fertilizer.
https://www.fusiondex.org/sprite/pif/1.556/
Although it can absorb sunlight to sustain itself, POKENAME often searches for fruits to supplement its nutrition. The size of the bud on its back directly reflects POKENAME's recent physical condition.
https://www.fusiondex.org/bulbasaur+skrelp/
POKENAME likes to float on the surface of the sea, pretending to be a rootless aquatic plant. Once other creatures come close, POKENAME will spray venom and escape to another location.
https://www.fusiondex.org/bulbasaur+castform-snowy-form/
This is what POKENAME looks like in snowy weather. It enlarges its body by forming parts of it out of snow, allowing it to enjoy the scarce sunlight filtering through the snow clouds.
POKENAME enlarges its body by forming parts of itself out of snow, allowing it to enjoy the scarce sunlight filtering through the snow clouds. Its green wisps are a mixture of ice crystals and pollen.
@zinc patrol Also, I have used the
emoji to indicate that the entry is good enough to be submitted. Keep an eye out for those as I sometimes give judgement during small breaks in the day
Got it, sir. ?client=gtx
Ohey, I just sprited an evo to this one today.

POKENAME's leaf-shaped whiskers have sensitive tactile and light-sensing abilities. Through the guidance of elders within the group, POKENAME can develop the skill of determining direction by measuring sunlight with its whiskers.
https://www.fusiondex.org/sprite/pif/2.14a/
POKENAME uses vines to secure itself to the tree. From the leaves to the vines, and even on POKENAME's cocoon, there are controllable poisonous stingers.

The antennae on POKENAME's head can ignore plants and only detect prey suitable for consumption. When it cannot quickly sting the prey with its venomous stinger, POKENAME sprays toxic gas from its flower bud and then waits patiently.

POKENAME almost never exposes its head or limbs above the ground. The buds on its back have a bitter scent that spreads over a short distance, so there is no need to worry about being preyed upon.
https://www.fusiondex.org/sprite/pif/2.28a/
POKENAME's skin can absorb water from the air, while the cactus on its back can absorb excess water from its skin. POKENAME's cactus often falls off during intense activity, and some Pokémon patiently wait around it for the water.
https://www.fusiondex.org/ivysaur+clefairy/
POKENAME can absorb moonlight just like it absorbs sunlight. During the day they rest scattered in the forest, and at night they gather in clearings.
POKENAME rarely exposes its head and limbs above ground, tunneling just below the surface. The flower on its back has a bitter taste and a foul scent, ensuring it never needs to worry about predation.
This is confusing.
Both the skin and the cactus absorb water? Also why does the cactus fall off?
Skin absorbs water from the original illustrated book. Cacti absorb water from, um, cactus absorbs water. The cactus is located where the thorns on its back originally were. The original illustrated book said those words are easy to fall off but regenerate very quickly.
The illustrated book?
Sorry for the translation problem, I'll change it into a more error-free expression.
Sandslash (Japanese: サンドパン Sandpan) is a Ground-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I.
It evolves from Sandshrew starting at level 22.
In Alola, Sandslash has a dual-type Ice/Steel regional form. It evolves from Alolan Sandshrew when exposed to an Ice Stone. These Sandslash can also be found in Blueberry Academy's Terarium.
I'm a little confused but I'll give it a shot.
I misremembered the skin-absorbent description of Sandshrew, but I guess at this point they are the same?
POKENAME absorbs water through its skin and the cacti on its back. When mature, the cacti fall onto the ground behind it, creating a source of nutrition for desert scavengers.
@zinc patrol
Cacti is plural, so either that or falls is conjugated wrong
Thank you
POKENAME can absorb moonlight as readily it can absorb sunlight. It rests in open fields both day and night.
I wanted the entry to reflect the nocturnal nature and gregarious nature of the species at night.
POKENAME can absorb moonlight as readily it can absorb sunlight. It rests in open fields during the day and awakens at night to play.
Thanks for the modification
I've been getting sloppy, I need to lock in more when I do the approvals

The bud on POKENAME's back emits a strong fragrance under the moonlight. Once it hears a human sound, wild POKENAME will stop moon-gazing and hide.
https://www.fusiondex.org/ivysaur+jigglypuff/
The bud on POKENAME's back contains a specially shaped cavity that can amplify its singing. Since its leaves can also be used for breathing, POKENAME's singing can continue without needing to take a breath.

POKENAME often expands its body size by inhaling. Its belly can stretch 20 times, efficiently absorbing sunlight.

A sweet-smelling but highly poisonous nectar flows from the top of POKENAME's head, which it uses to lure prey. Because it moves clumsily, many prey animals are not afraid even when they realize POKENAME is there.
Please help me remove the word animal if it is grammatically correct.

In order to accumulate nutrients for its buds, POKENAME's appetite has become enormous. Sometimes in the forest, you can see plants being dragged by it down to the ground to be eaten.
https://www.fusiondex.org/sprite/pif/2.51a/
Vegetarian food cannot meet the nutritional needs of three buds, and POKENAME often preys on other Grass-type Pokémon. The scent of the buds easily makes prey let down their guard, and POKENAME drags them into the ground the moment they relax.
I've been on a dry spell lately, I only manage like five a day or so
The Unown writing syndrome strikes again
Read the official entries of the two prototypes?client=gtx
No like how do you get the ideas to write for these entries so quickly?
You don't have to limit yourself to what is in the Pokedex, Pokemon are more than the sum of their parts
You can talk about stuff outside of the Pokedex so long as it makes sense
Also that’s still higher than my 3 per day
The official illustration is not a limitation for me. Basically, it is equivalent to external brainstorming. If a certain feature of the two prototypes can overlap, or overlap with the picture, I can quickly figure out what to say for this entry.
Good enough for me, just remember that even though it isn't mentioned, a Pokemon can still do other things.
Like bird Pokemon can fly, make nests, search for food, stuff that a normal bird can do the Pokemon can too
Don't limit yourself is what I'm saying
With that said
@zinc patrol
In order to accumulate nutrients for its buds, POKENAME's endless appetite causes it to eat all nearby plants. In the forests that POKENAME are native to, people report seeing plants being dragged underground to be eaten by a POKENAME.
Plant-based food is not nutritious enough for the three buds, so POKENAME often prey on other Grass-type Pokémon. The scent of the buds makes prey docile, allowing POKENAME to drag them into the ground the moment they relax.

@storm light I added navigate to the first sentence so there would be a point of connection between the two sentences, and I changed thought to believed to make it sound more opinion based
I wanted to add something about their wings flapping giving a sense of calm, but I think that fits more with Ori Pa'u lol
or maybe like calm emotions of grieving individuals

Now for Golbat

POKENAME colonies roam areas of cyberspace that are less frequented by users. If disturbed, POKENAME scatter into the user's computer, lagging user input immensely until cleared out.
https://www.fusiondex.org/sprite/pif/2.61/
POKENAME intentionally rubs nectar on the spiral of its belly. When Bug or Fish Pokémon are attracted, they become sleepy from staring at the hypnotic spiral.
The only thing I would say is "lagging user input" to be more computer oriented, as slowing is a very general term
true

Although the leaves on POKENAME's head can also absorb sunlight, it still needs to eat to support its large amount of physical activity. As it exercises, its flower buds become more vibrant.
https://www.fusiondex.org/sprite/pif/2.70a/
When POKENAME hangs on a tree, it uses flower buds as a counterweight. If it eats too much at once, it may be forced to spend the night on the ground because the difference in weight between its body and the flower buds becomes too great.

POKENAME can load the electricity generated in its body into its ears, which gives it an almost echo location like hearing. With its empowered ears can it detect sounds even underground.
POKENAME have very soft tails which they also use to take naps on. They can absorb electricity into their tails, able to make it glow and amplifying their fiery attacks with shocking accuracy.
Its -> their and it ->they to keep consistency
Tail should also be plural, as Vulpix have 6 tails total
POKENAME love to eat fruits and vegetables, which are turned into electric energy in its belly. Depending on which food is POKENAME´s individual favorite, the more energy is gained from consuming it.
is it possible to do a dex entry that just implies that the pokemon itself wrote it, it may not actually be that but i'm thinking it could be funny to have like a smeargle alakazam or something say ''this pokémon is intelligent enough to write in human language'' followed by praise for the species or something (it is a very powerful species and etc) that makes you think the pokémon wrote the entry itself
I guess anything that isn't forbidden is allowed? After all, many stickers also contain META elements.
By many images, I mean picture files.
does your feedback also count to the 3 entrys a time mark ducky set up ?
or should i wait for them to sign em off
It’s not a hard rule, it’s just how I prefer things go

I only said that because sometimes they get a lot of pings
<@&1210701164426039366> Can someone help Zek with grammar feedback?
The first entry is linked in the message above

Did the first parts of the Aron line x Farfetch'd ages ago. Time I finished it
Along with ramming with their hard bodies, their stick and webbed feet are razor-sharp. Working together, a flock can drive off packs of far larger predators.
Maybe shorten it in places? Readers will assume its body generates elecricity like most elec Pokemon (eat, sleep, etc.)- though some can power up as well from external sources.
POKENAME stores generated electricity in its ears, making its hearing act like echo-location. When charged, it can detect sounds even deep underground.
what
@rich goblet Asked for you to have feedback.
So I gave it
If that's ok
(Been out the loop for a while)
Means make it shorter? Lol
then entry? why
OK, shorten was probably the wrong word. More like, making it flow more naturally by taking out superflous words?
(in my opinion!)
Dusktop (313.237)
POKENAME spins on its antenna in order to attract and contact spirits. The faster this Pokémon spins, the more spirits are attracted to it. When enough spirits are following, POKENAME will walk and guide them to the afterlife.

no worries il keep it at those 3 for today enjoy your time ^^ il get back at it tomorrow :p
POKENAME loads electricity into its ears, creating echoes that help amplify sound. With this superhearing, POKENAME can hear Pokémon underground.
POKENAME have soft tails that they enjoy taking naps on. They can absorb electricity with their tail, causing it to glow and amplify their flaming attacks.

i apologize if im being alot XD
Hello Pirate Kat!
Ducky, op-onions about the Dusktop? 🧅
Lemme scroll up
How does it contact spirits if its just spinning? Like its hard to say or sign out anything? I'd fix that logical break before more feedback
Along with ramming with their hard bodies, their stick and webbed feet are razor-sharp. Pairing these together, a flock can drive off packs of far larger predators.
The antenna that Dusknoir has allows it to contact the spirit world. I was going off of that.
The orbs on POKENAME's head exhibit a warmth that is like a campfire. When the weather turns cloudy, these orbs cool down. Even when taken care of properly, POKENAME emit a foul odor from the cloud in their mouth.
I generalized the warmth a bit to flow more naturally
Looking at it now

In English, Subjects come before the Pronouns that describe them, so you would put "POKENAME" before "It". Also try to use a more confident tone by filtering words like "can" unless you are directly stating an option/condition or at least trying to make the action more into the present tense. "POKENAME absorbs sunlight through the crystals on its head to focus its energy into laser beams. It struggles to swim, so if it washes ashore, it will simply wait for the next tide." But also, this could use a bit more Ivysaur. Maybe it could drag itself back into water with its vines?
Where are you getting Psychic Energy from? Also I don't see Thorns on the Sprite. Instead of saying "They don't have a fixed number", you could say "POKENAME can grow new vines at will" or something to treat it like a feature, not just a mystery.
Where are you getting "as hard as diamonds" from?
- Okay, I'll try to let it drag itself back into the sea.
- The spiritual energy comes from the original entry of tentacruel. In the picture, the flower bud is placed in the position of the crystal, so I gave the flower bud the power of the crystal. I added sting because it is a jellyfish, but it seems that this word does not trigger the corresponding association at all, so it should not apply here
Regarding the quantity, you are right, I should modify the description. - This description comes from the description of the hoof in the ponyta illustrated book. Since the hooves and buds are the same color in the picture, I thought this description would make it more unique.

👍
-
Well that's the slippery slope that comes with building on the base-game Pokedex entries, your word choice needs to be deliberate enough to be consistent, but original enough to not repeat the same information. "Psychic" is another Pokémon type, which neither Tentacruel nor Ivysaur are. Take note that the base-game Pokédex specifically says "Ultra-sonic" energy for example.

Ah, when using broader references or less-often considered information, it help to narrow-in your descriptions or provide extra context/purpose. For example: "The casing around a POKENAME's bulb is constantly heated and cooled as it runs, solidifying in order to protect the budding flower inside until it's ready to bloom with a structure akin to diamonds."
Are they suitable for release now?
Instead of "and they have elasticity in water", say "and absorb water through them to multiply their length dozens of times."
Is everything else correct?
ultrasonic is one word, otherwise looks fine, I'll fix it tomorrow when I do approvals
You know, if you try hard enough, you can learn English from all this work
Thank you, no? Neither hard work nor study sounds good.

I'm not sure if crabs filter feed, I'm pretty sure they have mouths, so maybe eating dirt would make more sense?
-
Same as 1.
-
The leafy structure on POKENAME's head discharges with a single spark. During thunderstorms, these leaves absorb electricity to protect the forest from lightning strikes.
I guess filter feeding and eating dirt depends on where the debris comes out? Anyway, I'm pretty sure the crab can do this and the residue comes out of the mouth rather than the anus.
I suggest rewriting those entries without filter feeding, crabs tend to eat with with their claws and mouths:
I don’t know how to describe it, I thought it was common sense that crabs filter feed. Of course they won't refuse food if it's available, but that's not how things work in the wild.
Let me try
This is underwater. What impressed me most was the scene of thousands of fiddler crabs spitting sand on the beach. It was one of the CCTV advertising pages.
POKENAME supplements its nutrients by eating granules of sand, piece by piece. If its pincers break, it can regenerate this limb after being exposed to sunlight for half a day.
@zinc patrol What do you think?
POKENAME strain sand through their mouths to gain extra nutrients. By basking in sunlight for half a day, it can regenerate lost legs or claws.
This is in line with expectations. Now I have a small obsession. I want to find that fragment.
I found it, it's a great scene

Fine as is
The baby Pokémon in POKENAME's pouch resembles a Bulbasaur. The two mutually work together to help each other survive.
Kangaskhan is tricky to write for, doing my best
oh I'm sorry, must have double submitted. A is fine
Regarding the baby, I wrote that it was once a Bulbasaur, because it already has red buds, but its size is not like that of a Bulbasaur. If you use words that express something similar, then I guess Ivysaur would be more appropriate.
I'm confused, do you want me to include red buds in the entry? I can do that
The baby Pokémon in POKENAME's pouch resembles a Bulbasaur because of its red buds. The two mutually work together to help each other survive.
I know what the problem is, I said ivysaur and the translator thought it was Bulbasaur.
Oooooh, yeah we can just swap it out

POKENAME often disguises itself as part of other plants. Although it does not do this intentionally, if small Pokémon come close, POKENAME sometimes tries to prey on them.
Where are you getting the "prey on them" part?
Would you say where the inspiration came from? Amoeba and Slime Predation. I'm not going to reference the original Pokédex entry for Ditto's fusion.
Tricky...
POKENAME disguises itself as a part of nearby plants. If small Pokémon come close, it may try to nibble on them.
POKENAME gathers surrounding electric charges, and there is always the sound of static electricity on its bud. It tries its best to absorb natural or artificial electric energy and becomes full of energy.
https://www.fusiondex.org/ivysaur+jolteon/
Sorry, pressed enter too early
what are electric charges? you do not find electricity just lying in the wild
POKENAME gathers solar energy to convert into an electrical charge, its leaves crackling as it does so. It tries its best to wake up at dawn to maximize the amount of energy it receives.
I just left for a while. The natural electricity I am referring to is thunder.

POKENAME gathers energy from lightning storms; its leaves crackle with excess electricity. It can also absorb sunlight to ensure it is always full of energy.

POKENAME's buds are hard, and its leaves are tough. By wrapping its body with leaves, POKENAME can protect itself in most situations.
Sometimes I’m quite speechless when reprinting the original entry. Omanyte’s entry doesn’t look like a Pokémon, it looks like a real ammonite
"POKENAME can protect itself in most situations" is very generic, maybe you can go into detail?
Basically like Omanyte, it has ways to protect itself, but Carracosta, Archeops, and the rest of the big guys still eat them like nuts.
Maybe you can come up with something creative, it is very generic right now
Like pick a situation it would be in and write about it
Oh, my ideas often rely on textures. I could imagine a hollow green bud, but this semi-open red bud doesn't really look hollow, so I chose large leaves as a means of protection.
In fact, most of the ones I skipped didn't have any unique ideas. If I just wrote an entry that made sense logically, I might actually try it one by one according to the number.
Whenever I think of an idea that no one has written before, I will definitely try it.
After all, no one knows whether it is a good idea before it is sent out.
As long as a Pokémon can reasonably do it and it applies to the entire species it should be fine normally
So is it suitable for uploading? ?client=gtx
Is that supposed to be the Squid Game jacket btw
Yeah, don't limit yourself to just Pokedex entries
Like no Pokedex entry has nest building, but you can reasonably mention it
https://www.fusiondex.org/ivysaur+omastar/
POKENAME's buds are very light compared to its body size, so its speed is faster than most of its close relatives. When hunting, POKENAME tightens its buds to reduce resistance, lunges, and uses its sharp teeth on its prey.
When hunting, POKENAME tightens its bud and lunges forward to bite with its sharp teeth. Its flower bud is made out of lightweight petals, making it faster than a heavily armored Omastar.
Is this fun for you by the way? I can't tell if you enjoy doing this or if you are doing it out of some obligation.
interesting. By the way, there's no obligation, I just feel like it would be rewarding to see my screen name on a website.
Probably replace the word in the first sentence with fun

POKENAME lives near human-packed beaches. It's known for gifting Heart Scales to couples, signaling their eternal love.
and for this one I didn't really know if human-packed beaches was a good way to put it or maybe putting Trainer? idk
ngl, I don't see a lot of Milotic in this one. Maybe you could say something about them representing beauty or are in some form deep dwelling? Maybe their scales are used in beauty products?
I got the lake thing from it, maybe say that people polute their home to get their liquid that makes one beautiful?

With a thick layer of insulating blubber, POKENAME can swim comfortably through the frigid ocean. It plays a vital role in cold regions, helping people transport goods.
I did my best to capture the core of what you wrote.
Arhorn (390.111)
POKENAME rams itself into the side of rugged cliffs where iron ore is found if there is no exposed ore. If this Pokémon finds a good source of iron, it will continue to bash into that area, creating a hole in the side of terrain.
Rhyron (111.391)
POKENAME's armor has not yet fully developed, but that doesn't it from bashing boulders with its head and horn. This Pokémon requires a high iron diet and live near industrial sites, consuming guarded scrap metal.
POKENAME rams itself into the side of rugged cliffs to expose iron ore. If this Pokémon finds a good source of iron, it will continue to bash into that area, creating a hole in the terrain.
The first sentence was simplified, as one can reasonably assume that if there is already iron ore it wouldn’t need to expose more.
I would say instead of “not fully developed”, something like “POKENAME’s armor is made out of a soft metal that bends.” As the former connects the entry to another evolved form.
Regiperl (447.562)
When POKENAME filter feeds, any loose sediment that gets trapped inside the shell will attach to its core. This sediment will slowly transform into crystal like shards that are popular souvenirs at beach festivals.
Fair enough. Thank you for catching that!
Hyphen between crystal and like, otherwise looks fine
Ledydreavus (165.200)
At night, when this Pokémon is alone, POKENAME will let out soft cries akin to the sound of a person in mourning at a funeral. During the early morning hours, POKENAME will sit in the rays of the sun to warm up before resting.
Lairffy (391.180)
While tough in appearance, POKENAME love to be groomed by their trainer. However, the steel wool that makes up this Pokémon's mane makes maintaining this process hazardous due to the rough fibers and static electricity.
Unba (201.165)
POKENAME can be found in caverns within lush jungles ruins. Due to their high photosensitivity, these Pokémon will avoid sunlight at all costs.
https://www.fusiondex.org/electrode+paras/
The Premier Ball-like growths on POKENAME's head are fragile and tend to explode on the lightest touch, spraying a dense cloud of spores into the air. These spores conduct electricity easily, causing major short-circuits in machinery they land on.
https://www.fusiondex.org/paras+rapidash/
As POKENAME travel, they scatter spores from the mushrooms on their body. These same mushrooms are also edible and are sought after for their strong savory and spicy flavor, often described as getting kicked by a POKENAME.
Dusktwo (313.150)

Ontomb (95.295)
POKENAME only appears in deep caves near underground lake edges where it is commonly mistaken for a well and hexes trespassers. The internet is filled with theories of what the main body of this Pokémon looks like.
What do you think of this, Zek?
POKENAME dwells in the highest parts of the atmosphere, absorbing energy from the sun. The electricity in its body is so strong that it can cause massive atmospheric storms just by flying through the sky. Its exact strength is shrouded in mystery.
That's really cool imagery!
very interesting concept ngl

Yeah Hydreigon tricky
you think its needed to menation the three ?
i can include it

i was thinking of writing that but to me the double OF sounded funky

u want me to go with this or
I’d stick with that yes
aight
Do you mean entries you wrote
Go to #custom-dex-errors for that
I took that way too literally, what is my smooth brain doing
I think those are tusks according to the Pokédex, let me check
Yeah tusks
Due to the massive amount of electricity flowing through the body of POKENAME, its inner gravity is disrupted, rendering its ability to fly. It can vibrate the two big tusks on its jaw, making slashing through dense objects light work.
rendering?
removing
disabeling
another word for those 2
POKENAME´s exoskeleton is extremely hard / durable and covers most of its body. The sharp edges on its wings and claws are sturdy enough to easily cut through steel beams and never get dull.
and @severe scroll thx for sending me those <3
preventing it from flying would make more sense
I don't actually know if slashes are not allowed but it is also just a clunky punctuation
Due to the massive amount of electricity flowing through the body of POKENAME, its inner gravity is disrupted, preventing it from flying. It can vibrate the two big tusks on its jaw, making slashing through dense objects light work.
Where are you getting the gravity bit by the way?
Also, "light work" is a bit awkward at the end, I would just says something like "effortless"
from the electricity and zekroms ability to deffer magnetic fields with said electricity
Ooooh magnetic fields, one sec
can i keep the cut through or do ineed to reword itr
One sec

The slash in the entry probably isn't allowed and is clunky, I'd rephrase it
I'm also curious to get your opinion on these, duck lol

“Almost” was not necessary because Mewtwo can easily sit idle. Nightfall sounds better, and “as is required” is the proper phrase. Instead of insects, bug Pokémon is the preferred term.
Okay, I just read through the entire Lorebook.
Holy info dump...
It was actually really interesting
It is a LONG read, and a useful one at that
I don't know if anyone is here, but could you please see if these three are logically and linguistically correct?

POKENAME's wing patterns vary between individuals and were once rumored to be windows into other dimensions. The powder on their wings causes visual hallucinations if inhaled.
POKENAME can be found sulking when it cannot stargaze. If taken for a trip to see the starry night sky by its Trainer, it bestows good luck onto them.
This is fine

POKENAME can simultaneously restore health and accumulate energy under sunlight. If necessary, POKENAME can convert the energy stored in its buds into energy, but this will lead to prolonged weakness.

All of POKENAME's actions have only two purposes: basking in the sun and protecting its flower bud. It uses other parts of its body to take attacks for the flower bud, and sometimes just staring at the flower bud can scare it away.

POKENAME collects a large amount of withered plants inside its shell, and then hangs itself in a cool and ventilated place using vines. Although the fermented liquid has the scent of the plants, its most suitable use is actually as fertilizer.
Alright, to prove I'm still here, put in some of my dex entries into the submissions
@viscid light Please get your entries checked before submitting them. There are resources in the pinned comments, including the Lore Book, which include the following section about the language to be used in entries.
Let me guess. the Porygon Z and Gardevoir fusion?
All four.
You will need to cut out some content to make entries fit. You do not need to include a Pokémon's entire life in one entry.
Additionally, please refer to the Lorebook when making entries, as you are expected to follow the guidelines in it.
I know - they're prior dex entries I posted here
Did anyone ever give you the go ahead on these? I do not remember these entries since my tenure as an Unown.
No
Your entries have been denied. Please post entries here and wait for feedback from other writers. Please also read the lorebook for information about what we expect from entries.
...regarding with the other 5?
I believe you're the only person who's responded
You have five entries prior to today's submission that were approved.
(Not counting with the Ferrothorn fusion)
And frankly, they were less "can I please" and more to hell with this, I'm putting them in
I can tell.
Just um...
The ideas were cool but were not written in a way that would be allowed in game. I don't really control the rules, I only enforce them.
That, and (outside of a few examples), I handle my Dex Entries as "on-the-field" as opposed to the normal scientific lorebook (Also, when Kanto had 10 year olds making dex entries, it's groan-worthy)
Those few examples being either direct tampering (Mr. Mime) or being data itself (Porygon Line)
That's fair - really shouldn't have gone off on the messager like that. Sorry
