I have a weird question: what if we reference a mainline Pokemon entry that itself is simply in canon incorrect?

For example I was just browsing Weepinbell's entries and apparently some of the mainline games say that its Poison Powder immobilizes prey which...just isn't what the move does. Would it simply make more sense to reference in-canon moves that do actually do that? (namely Stun Spore and Sleep Powder?)

I tend to just say that it uses powder, spores, etc to immobilize prey rather than to specify. Also, I suppose fainting is immobilizing?

Poisons in game just hurt you but in reality and in dex lore can immobilize you, melt you, and can cause many other side effects

This is sort of a complicated question to answer. The best way of explaining it is that there are in-battle effects and out-of-battle effects.
Not every ability is something that a Trainer can command their Pokémon to do. Dialga has power over time, but a Trainer using a Dialga in battle can't travel backwards through time. The Pokémon still has that ability, even though Roar of Time doesn't have that mechanic.
It's feasible for Poison Powder to cause immobilization in non-battle scenarios, and even if you don't like that, in this particular case, it's possible to reason out that Poison Powder leads to fainting, which keeps the prey from running away.
It would make more sense to refer to Stun Spore or Sleep Powder, but you're not gonna get a slap on the wrist for getting a bit creative with the use of moves out of combat

The most important thing is that you aren't providing the player with incorrect gameplay info. Saying that Poison Powder causes the paralysis status condition would be a no.

Intensity of a fire is not something that has to be carried over by folklore or written in textbooks. 😅 It's a measurement characterised by obvious visual effect, so you probably should get rid of "It is said" and leave the start as "The fire emanating..."
Or you can switch the intensity for temperature, since that's something that can't be known by an average witness

When writing in reference multiple’s of a pokemon I was told that you don’t do “Pokenames” as it was improper so I was on the assumption that it was fine doing just Pokename as it’s referring to the whole specifies in the context of the sentence?

So I’m a little confused if it’s preferred to mention things like kind and multiples in other words and such by the unknowns?

By "Pokenames", we specifically mean that the plural of any Pokémon never ends in "s". It is always the exact same for both singular and plural.

For instance:

The woods were filled with Pikachu.
That Stantler's coat is glowing!
I like your Swellow.
Look at those Jigglypuff! Look at that Igglybuff!

So, regardless of if you want the sentence to refer to a singular or plural Pokémon of a species, you just use POKENAME.
(In all of the above examples, you'd replace the Pokémon's name with POKENAME if the entry was about that species.)

This doesn't mean you can never put something after POKENAME. For instance, if I wanted to talk about Nidorino's horn, I could say POKENAME's horn.

Another tangential thing to keep in mind is that the sentence needs to make it clear/have it not matter if it's singular or plural. You don't want to switch halfway. If you're not sure, try temporarily switching the sentence so that instead of POKENAME, it uses "It" or "They".

If it seems off, it's probably because the the sentence isn't written in the proper singular/plural format.

I can imagine a very tired trainer of like 4 houndoom buying such a carpet in the hope that it isn't burnt to a crisp/ chewed to pieces / in other ways atomized the moment the carpet crosses the home doorframe.
