They changed how typing is determined to remove a lot of the specific hardlocks like the Kanto starters only passing their primary type, and more importantly if a type is duplicated when fusing the resulting Pokemon will always pick up the second type from a multi-type mon instead of being able to fuse down to a single type

So you can no longer have Rotom fuse in specific ways to get a pure electric type with levitate. Any previous fusion that would have had this will now grab Rotom's ghost typing

with a moveset I believe of ||transform/toxic/cosmic power/softboiled|| so you're supposed to ||sub on turn 1 (which blocks both toxic and transform) then hit it with your own toxic on turn 2 since it can't outlast the toxic damage||

Alright, I'm gonna go with a full tin hat conspiracy here (and I have been consistently wrong on these), but I have a theory on what the announcement for the raffle winner is going to entail.
Isn't it weird how they add all the lines at once except for the raffle one? The new version was released a week after the Lycanroc announcment, so it would've been fine to announce that line too as a bonus, but there was a conscious decision not to. Picking the raffle winner itself is easy; people have had their picks in for a while, and if more time was needed the release could've even just been delayed another week (keep in mind the time for release was given at the same time as Lycanroc's announcement, so this wasn't a case of not meeting a schedule set far in advance). It's also clearly not about giving it time to get custom sprites; there are many pokemon in the game with zero custom fusions right now. In other words, the reason for not releasing the last line is not just because of development issues, but something more intentional.
I believe this intentional reason is the announcement of the future release schedule. Instead of the raffle winner being the last mon in this release, it will be the first added in the next. How this schedule will work, I have no idea. I've speculated on it before, but frankly there have been no hints about it. But given that the hard limit from before has been removed, the new limiting factor is simply Frogman's free time and labor (for which we are eternally grateful). This means there's no reason for there not to be more additions given enough time. So if you were going to announce a new release schedule, why wouldn't you pop it off with a new line off the bat?
This weekend, when presumably the raffle line is revealed, we'll see if I'm right or not. Like I said, I've been wrong on many occasions, but I'm feeling optimistic this time.
