every route so far has one pokemon from the first route, and then is randomized, and all items seem to be staticly randomized, as in every item i recieve is one of 3 random items,

I can't stick around for a full discussion, but I have confirmed some things about the Strength convo yesterday:

• Janine does not acknowledge your actions, nor does she give you Strength, before you remove the Snorlax on Rt 12 (actually you can't even trade with her and she doesn't introduce herself until you do)
• Upon removing the Snorlax, you get Strength from the NPC who replaced her in recent versions
• After removing Snorlax, Janine recognizes having met you before and gives you strength for helping her... whether you spoke to her before or not, and hands you another Strength, introduces herself, then immediately starts up a trade for her Gligar
  Again, this feels more like a holdover from the old version when she was on Rt 12... But I think that means you can remove the either/or part of the Yanmega response.

As she will not hand it to you until you already have Strength

Ok i think I see the issue. Theres an oversight in the script that checks if a pokemon has a hidden ability. It says a pokemon has a hidden ability when its ability index is >= 2. This only works if the pokemon has 2 normal abilities and a third hidden ability. Doesnt work on pokemon like oddish who only has 1 unhidden ability

Hey @hexed tundra! Do you need to install sprites? No. The game by default install sprites as you encounter Pokemon over the internet. No need to install anything.

Why do we have sprite packs? If you have unstable internet, you can use the sprite packs to install them manually using this Guide.
