Hi, I need some help with my new steelseries arctis 1 headset. When I plug in my headphones, both front and back, the headphones give off a buzzing noise. My realtek audio drivers are all up to date, and I have no idea what I can do to fix this issue.

Try muting your MIC and see if the static persists . If it does not - you need to disable side tone . If it does - you'd have to identify the cause for it (could be mic feedback , the volume limiter being disabled or static in the connector) .

It's not a bad headset. As long as you don't expect mind blowing audio quality and are ok with the inconvenient cables it'll be fine. For me at least, the dac is pretty helpful and I can recommend it, but I can't speak for the overall value

My question is probably unusual but I'm hearing impaired and I wear earing aids (even with a headset).
I was thinking about buying the arctis pro or 7 but Im always anxious about buying an headset I dont know because some hurt if you wear them too long (like 5/6h a day) and my hearing aids tend to make that even worse. That s sadly not something I can try beforehand and was curious about others ppl experience with these headsets. Apologies for my average English

Hi @white zephyr, I own both of those headsets and neither feel uncomfortable after extended periods of usage. A lot of it depends on your ear size, but the earcups are soft enough, I wouldn't think it an issue. If you're deciding between the two of them, the arctis 7s have a significantly reduced clamping force, so I imagine they'd be more comfortable with hearing aids.

Assuming that's a Stratus Duo, the sticks on mine are both even, but unless it's affecting performance or comfort I would't worry too much about it

Hey folks 👋 a search of this server pulls up a number of reports of random beeping with a couple different models of headsets, but from what I can see no real resolutions?

I've just received a new set of Arctis 9's and while connected via bluetooth to a macbook there's continual random beeping (there were no beeps while connected via dongle to my PS5). Sometimes minutes apart, sometimes a string of beeps within a second.

I've sent in a support ticket so we'll see what comes back in the meantime, has anyone successfully resolved this issue?

Since the recent updates to steelseries GG my rival 650 Wireless no longer shows the battery icon whether its charging or not. hello..i got a problem with my steelseries wireless pro and the GG app...it basically tells me i need to installa component in order to play with the equalizer via the app...i click to install it..the installation bar goes on..then it tells me to connect the headset..which is strange..coz they are connected..the oled screen shows that and im even listening to youtube music while im doing the whole process...

i tried to reboot the PC after the installation of the GG app...nothingits like the app doesnt feel my headset connected...its connected via the micro USB cable to the PC...and the headset itself is pairde with the transmitter...as i said..im listening to music..

and it tells me to reconnect the headset...

so nothing has been installed..

Hi guys, today, after a firmware upgrade done by Steelseries Engine on my Apex Pro, the Led Illumination doesn't work anymore. The keyboard works for 15 / 20 minutes, after that the Oled, the left key and the USB port's light located near the ESC key, start to blink and the keyboard doesn't work anymore "i can hear the sound windows use to alert for a usb disconnection repeately". I need to unplug it wait several minute and plug in to fix that, the illumination still down, and the key works for another couple of minutes before it start the issue again.

I've already tryed with another pc with a fresh engine installation, hoping that can trigger another firmware upgrade, but it doesn't happen, this issue follow the keyboard in any PC i've plugged so far. Any idea?

Whenever I use my Arctis 3 on my laptop, my mic has this really low buzzing/static noise, but it normally works fine on other devices. I've tried reinstalling/updating my audio drivers but it didn't help. I am using analogue input since my laptop only has one jack.

Looks like the crackling and distorted bass is a known and common issue on Arctis 7/9 and maybe others too when sliding up the bass in the EQ and going over 80% volume in windows. Wi-fi only. I found threads from January where people complain. Others have confirmed to me on Discord. I can't believe Steelseries hasn't fixed this yet. And they sell them with a factory defect. Idk if it can be fixed with a firmware or software update. But they need to do something.
They had me broke my previous Arctis 9 for nothing, only to send me a new one with the same issue. 😂

I've just joined this discord because i'm fed up with the sound distortion that comes and goes from my 9x when on a discord call via my iPhone Bluetooth and connected to my xbox via MS wireless. Kinda dumb that it doesn't say the cable length on the product page, but it does list it under the specs page for the Arctis 3 and that replacement cable should be the same length as the one that comes in the headset box

The Micro USB connector that goes into the headset should be the same on the 3 and 5 so theoretically yes it should work, you just won't be able to control the 5 through the Engine software if you plug it in via 3.5mm to a PC

Summary of Issue:
I'm having an issue with my audio setup and despite all the research that I've done on forums and here in discord I can't seem to work out what I can do to fix it. I currently have the GoXLR Mini and the Steel Series Arctis Pro Wireless Headphones. Connection wise I have the GoXLR plugged into a USB 3.0 port on the MOBO (see below for exact model) and I have the Steel Series base station plugged in to a USB 2.0 on the MOBO. Then I have a 3.5mm going out of the headphone jack on the front of the GoXLR Mini going into the Line In port on the back of the Steel Series base station. Here's where I get lost. I've watched tutorial after tutorial on how to set this thing up but I'm still getting crappy audio. I have the source set to AUX on the base station and when I have the Playback device set to "TC Helicon System" it doesn't sound "good" at all. Conversely when I switch the base station to PC for the source and I leave the Playback device set to "TC Helicon System" I can't hear anything until I switch the Playback device to "Headphones (Arctis Pro Wireless)". I personally believe that I am missing a setting or something because the magic combination has to be to have the "Source" set to "PC" and the Playback device set to "TC Helicon System" to be able to achieve the best audio quality that these things are capable of. I don't mean to ramble but I know there is a solution because Harris Heller uses almost the exact same setup and I know that he is not reviewing these headphones and singing there praises if he were getting the same audio quality as me lol. Thank you very much for any assistance.

Step's I've taken:
I've gone into sound settings and made sure that the default device and default comm device are selected correctly. I've checked the volume levels and everything is golden, so color me confused.

A week ago I ordered the Arctis 3 Bluetooth at 117 Euros. The reason why is because this model seems to have the feature to connect it to my PC for gaming (WIRED) and to my phone via Bluetooth, as my phone has no 3.5mm jack and uses this adapter (usb-c to 3.5mm), so I figured it'd be way more convenient with the Bluetooth as the adapters don't last long and a phone with a wireless headset connection would be so much more convenient imo.

Now, I just figured out that there are these USB C dongles so I was just thinking:
Is it possible to buy an USB-C wireless dongle, plug it into my USB-C port of my phone and use an Arctis headset with it? I know/think the Arctis 1 wireless is, but I would like to know whether the Arctis 7 (https://steelseries.com/gaming-headsets/arctis-7?color=black) is able to do this, as the connections state that you can only connect the Arctis 7 by a 3.5mm, WIRED.

If so, it would probably the best option to get a refund and go for the Arctis 7, which is slightly more expensive than the arctis 3 but still within my budget. I would then also be able to use my headset wireless to my computer for gaming, as gaming using bluetooth will have too much latency... I know the 9 is able to do this, however, I think this is above my budget for a headset considering my use of one.

I have had this problem since I picked up my Arctis 9X but I can only get 2 out of 3 of Mic/Discord/Game at any one time, does anybody have a fix for this? you can buy the A7P or similar, since they have a USB-C dongle that plugs into phones. But you won't get dual audio, that's only on the A3BT and A9 headsets.

I'm a bit confused, if you have SteelSeries GG/Engine installed, why not make the macros there? You'll have to overwrite the functions on the keys, but you can still make these macros.

FYI, the Apex 5 is still a membrane keyboard underneath the switches. The Apex 5 doesn't have full zero key rollover, which is part of the reason why it doesn't support meta layer bindings. For example, you can't press W + Shift + Enter on the Apex 5.

If you do a lot of shortcuts, you should probably look at the Apex 7, since that's a full true mechanical keyboard.

Having issues with my Aerox 3 - Was'nt connecting at first, wouldn't go into paring mode with the flashing lights either. when switched to 2.4, it looked as if it was off. So, is it normal to have the sound completely break for every update? I have The Arctis wireless pro, bought 3 months ago. Update 7 and 8 of the engine both broke the something to the point playing a youtube video gave me an error about my sound engine not working at all. I "fix" the issue by uninstalling and reinstalling the engine for the update and it seems to work fine again. Today I got the "We downloaded update 8, click to install" popup which before even clicking the update button the sound was broken again. I am just wondering if anyone else has/had this issue.

Honestly fuck steelseries, windows said i needed to restart my pc to finish installing the keyboard or some shit. I restart, keyboard still dont work. Now i cant even login because I have a fucking password and a keyboard that dont type.

The keyboard was so good until this point.

I'm done. Their support page is too vauge and doesnt explain anything.
