@queen violet
i have the i3 version of that
i9 11900k my Version of in
do 160 gig hhd sell anymore
I’d say i5 10400f cause it’s a good cpu for the 1660, I’ve got a prebuilt with the 10400 and 1660 and they run basically any FPS game at 1080p on 60fps, I’d say it’s a good combo
Is i5-9400f good for gtx 1650?
bro i found an rtx 3060 for 260 euros 😳
How da heck
Snap that up
Make sure it works tho
Just bought a pc, anyone got recommendations on monitors and keyboards?
Need a budget
238$ ish
For each?
AOC: 24G2, 24G2U/BK
Acer: VG240Y Pbiip, VG240YS, VG242YP, XV240Y, XV242, RX241Y, RG241Y
Asus: VP249QGR, VG249Q1R, VG249Q (if under $200usd)
Pixio: PX248, PX248 Prime S
MSI: G241, G242, G242P
Viewsonic: XG2405
LG: 24GN600-B.AUS, LG 24GN650-B
iiyama: GB2470HSU-B1/G2470HSU-B1
Acer (Regional): XF243Y, RX241Y
BenQ: EX2510 (if under 200usd)
Gigabyte: G24F
HP: X24i
Any of these in your budget?
Ilyama AOC, and acer will probably be your best bet
Yea they’re in my budget, thank you👍
The case doesn't matter at all. Your new CPU needs to fit the same socket on the existing motherboard. Also make sure your current CPU is not soldered in, as it would require special tools and a lot of care to remove properly.
If your desired CPU does not fit the socket, you can also replace the motherboard. The other components should slot right in. This will most likely require a reinstall of your OS, although your files on the hard drive will be safe.
this is the motherboard of a pavillion
Can someone send me there set up
I’m new to this
So I can have an idea of a good setup
Like your built of
Usually anything below about 25 inches is fine for a 1080p screen meaning you probably won't notice many pixels in text or small details like that, at 27 inches and above its best to go for a higher resolution like 1440p and above 32 inches the ideal experience would probably be 4K or 4K equivalent (depending on if the width of the monitor or whether or not it's an ultrawide)
That's kinda broad. Do you have a certain price point or budget in mind for your PC? Also your use case like gaming and/or content creation, editing, streaming, etc. It would help to know so someone could send a good build suggestion that's actually in your price range and for your specific use case since everyone uses their PC for different things
I’d say ideally: 21”-24” for 1080p. 24”-27” for 1440p. 27-30” for 4K
Just peripherals or pc too?
Well again, what you need depends on what you're going to be using the computer for
Gaming
Any recommendations of where I should build my pc
On a desk, preferably
With the price of GPUs these days, you can actually find some reasonably priced prebuilts on the market. Blasphemy I know.
Hardly blasphemy, prebuilts are definitely a viable option
Big help
System integrator, a company to build it for you
In which case I would recommend build Redux
Ok bet thank you guys
Can anyone help me with setting up dual displays
If your in the U.K. pre-builds are pretty damn good
But ye use pcpartpicker for your pc parts list. It’ll tell you what you need and whether it’s compatible
Having a budget helps tho
is a 1660 super good for 270
dollars
230 retail
dam
It's not bad
HP Gaming Desktop Pavilion TP01-0066 Ryzen 7 3rd Gen 3700X (3.60 GHz) 8 GB DDR4 256 GB SSD AMD Radeon RX 550 Windows 10 Home 64-bit
shall i throw a 340 dollars for ram and a 1660 super
this is 510
HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop, AMD Ryzen 5 3500 (3.6 - 4.1GHz), 8GB RAM, 256 GB NVMe SSD , NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Super, HDMI, DisplayPort, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Windows 10 Home
this one is 900 dollars
is this good @queen violet
You could probably buy that better and for cheaper individually
A 5600x would be around $250. + mbo +$100 or less. + 16gb of ram $80 + SN550 1tb $70.
$60 for a case and $60 for a psu.
So tbf it’s not bad actually
It’s decent yes. Next gen will be faster in gaming but it definitely isn’t a slacker
wich is better than thay cpu
5600x
is the i5 10400f better
The 3700x has slower 8 cores
5600x has 6 faster cores
10400f has 6 fast’ish cores
how much is it
You could look it up
is it 2.9 ghz?
2.9ghz with boost to 4.2 I think
Should be around $160
2021 Newest Dell G5 Gaming Desktop, Intel Core i5-10400F, AMD RX 5300 3GB, 12GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB HDD, WiFi, HDMI, Wired Keyboard&Mouse, Win 10 Home
is this good prive for 869
God no
Word
I’d rather die than work for or buy a Dell product
If I had the choice of using a Dell computer or being beheaded, I would bring my own machete
I'm forced to use old dell prebuilts and god is it awful. They work, but they're the same age as me and barely work given they've had little to no maintenance for 10+ years
their monitors on the other hand
gotta give it to dell, their customer support when a product is still in warranty is pretty good
Yeah their monitors are actually pretty good for the price point. I was considering one when looking for a new 1440p gaming panel but went with a Gigabyte one because it was IPS and on sale lol
does anyone else's CPU have to "rev up" for a few minutes before running at a lower percentage? My CPU runs at 100% for like 5 minutes and goes back down to 30% usage.
Probably a Windows Defender scan or something similar. The impact will obviously be worse on lower core count CPUs. The fans will ramp up in my 5900X system every once in awhile but I don't notice any performance degradation while Windows Defender is doing a scan
I have a core i7 10700k...
It could be all the programs running on startup
Go to startup programs and uncheck everything you don’t need
What’s running in the background?
Use task manager to see what it’s doing
In taskbar you can enable which programs run on start-up, maybe you have some programs running there which may take massive hits on your cpu
It's not a problem on startup, it's a problem in game
could it possibly be not enough cooling? I did go cheap on the CPU fan...
If it's overheating
@queen violet u have a 5800x rite do u notice 100% cpu when u launch task manager?? for abt 2 secs then drops
no
use pbo
sad
or undervolt
mine always spikes for 2 sec to 100%
but doesnt affect other applications
or is task manager glitchy
5600x
When opening task manager it’ll go pretty high because it is loading a lot of processes
Or both lol, PBO2 + CO
No it handles task manager very well at first, not even spiking above 15%
So your usage becomes high in a game?
i usually check task manager mid valorant match to see how much resources it needs
but wen i alt tab valo uses less than 10% cpu and abt 5gb ram but the moment i launch task maanger it goes to 100% then back to 10%s
Sounds normal
Have you run malware bytes or windows defender recently?
No
Run them
has anyone here used quick heal antivirus i have that running and it randomly uses lot of cpu
not an issue for 5800x but my laptop 3500u suffers
Never heard of it. But If it’s constantly scanning for malware I’m not suprised
oh kk
I got to go but I'll run the test when I get back
does anyone know when and where i can buy the rtx 3060 ti Founders edition, as the custom editions are usually available?
If the U.K. I think Scan are the only people who sell it
ok, thx
nothing
why use other antivirus
scalpers
What do i do with these
You don't have to post twice
is that an audio splitter
It came w my arctics 1
i think its for plugging it in the microphone and speaker 3.5mm ports because some devices have 2
ports
ok igtg
Why the 5600g
👋 Heyo, need some advice. I've been looking at the Odyssey G, not the new Neo G9 $2k+ for a monitor would hurt me too bad, but I've heard of a lot of issues with the Odyssey, any of you smarties in here know if the production issues were ever addressed, or if I should say screw it & eventually just go for the updated Neo G9 once the firmware issues are fixed?
(please dont tell me the new one is just infinitely better & thats what i should go for i might cry at the thought of that much money for 1 single monitor)
I believe flickering was fixed, not sure about the scanlines tho. Could be fine, I don't think you'd be unhappy with it
Plus you could always send it back if it really sucks
Can anyone tell me a good pc that I can upgrade over time?
Budget: £600
i have a potato. that's about all you can afford with the budget set before me
hmm
for 600 u gotta cheap out on the cpu to fit a gpu in
increase budget
by 160 pounds
i think i gave you a much better psu than you needed
but as you will upgrade keep in in case you want gpu
go for the m27q
cheap\
too small, i already use 2 27" monitors
i want a large 49" curved which is why im considering the 2 samsung models
oh
no problem
I can send you a review of the neo by pcpro if you want?
probably someone who speaks a language related to german, cause its grafik in swedish, danish and german
Incase it sways your decision
Wooo, thank you!
yo ive never built a pc before but im looking to in the near future. just a quick question, does thermal paste come in a tube included with CPUs or AIOs?
or do i have to buy it seperately
it will be included
Oftentimes it's preapplied, not in a tube btw
yes
It’s pre-applied in the cooler. However it isn’t usually great stuff, so if thermals are a problem then using NT-H2 can help
K
this isnt good.
and extreamly limited aswell lol
or rather even go 10400f with buying something used...
since 10400 quite bad value
but either is a 11400
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/w6YLz7 best i could do for you
no idea why everyone else is literally giving you overpriced ass cpus
Yo ty very much that's way better
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58BrqTU0R8w heres a vid showing its performance if ur interested in that

Ty
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/9mYLz7 forgot to add a motherboard lmao heres the updated one
Oh yh
aight have a good one
so basically
the bandwith part only disables 2 sata ports, and im pretty sure that motherboard has 5 or 6
so thats not a big issue
unless youre interested in hella storage
Oh alr
and the usb issues, i gotta find you a new motherboard
if you wanna use
the front ports
which im pretty sure you do
Yh
I don't use USB type C on pc
ok, then that systems fine for you if you dont need it
Alr
thats literally the worst cpu that you could ever think of
1600 af is getting outperformed by an 10400f lol
neither is a 1050 ti a good choise lmao
never was, never will
a 1050 ti lmao
at that point go on aliexpress or facebook marketplace and score a deal on the m1 mac mini
Guys whats the diffrence between storing games at hdd instead of sdd can that causes lag , stutter and lower fps? Or is it just loading time speed diffrent
store games on ssd = faster load times and slightly better performance (much better on laptops)
Whats better about the performance? I have a 2tb hdd already should i buy 500 gb ssd?
Whats the performance diff?
playing minecraft
yes
less lag in minecraft
and spiderman
and like a 3-14 fps difference in games
this a good build for £1300 ($1800)??
as in like 6-7/10 good or 8-9/10 good?
5/10
guys any tips i just got my pc but the monitor isnt turning on
plug it in
U.K. right? I might be able to find something better
AWD.IT sell 3070 pc’s around the £1200-£1300 mark
Bugger
3060ti pc’s are around £1100
Bear in mind most of them come with 8gb of ram standard. But the rest of the parts are fine.
thats fine ive got RAM
are you building it yourself or getting a prebuilt?
prebuilt cos ill never get a graphics card rn
i am and i will ta 🙂
very reputable, I was going to get one until I got a 3070 founders from them
they are one of the gpu suppliers in the uk
is this for graphics cards or prebuilts
ok ta 👍
their last nvidia drops were 3070 tis 2 days ago
but they have a stock for the prebuilts, that’s how they still sell them
yeh that makes sense lmfao
What’s the budget?
around £1300
There is a 3070 x 3600 build in stock for £1300
Can I dm you the link because links aren’t allowed here
yh ofc
In this video I show you some tips and tricks when building a PC
watch this it helps with ur pc building
nzxt capsule or elgato wave 3
this for £1200($1650ish) do i cop
Looks good
out of 10?
- I would prefer to see a zen 3 cpu but still that’s a great build.
like a 4/5
4 out of 5? or 4,5 out of 10
4 out of 10 lmao
Why what’s wrong with it?
well in general part choise of the prbuilt + being overpriced
since its atleastoveprriced by around 400 pounds.
You reckon you could find better for a similar price?
no, since you shouldent consider a prebuilt anyway
I am tho? Cos atm with graphics cards prebuilts are more decently priced
no not really
they just give you other shit parts in for return
so proft marge for them keeps bigger and bigger
What could I get for that price if I built it myself?
is this better for £1300
ryzen processors are overall better so i'd say downgrade that gpu and go for a ryzen 5 instead
like a 2nd or 3rd gen ryzen 5
@queen violet is that facepalm disagreement?
Yes. Ryzen isn’t “overall better”?
in this case is it tho LUL
And the difference between a 9600k and 3600 is pretty similar. So why on earth would he suggest a worse GpU??
so should i go for the second one?
its got hdd wifi card better gpu and similar cpu so id assume its better
Yes. Although I think their are some 5600x 3070 build I’ll have a look for.
Fair enough. I’d take that 9600k build definitely
Although…
Just found this
Bugger
Yep. It’s about £70 extra for 2x8gb 3200mhz and a 1tb SN550
But you get a 5600x, B550 aorus elite v2, 360mm rad and a 6700xt
lol
think ive decided on this for £1400
stock cooler?
650w and 3000 series isn’t a good choice, at least get an 800-900w to avoid killing the psu
nah that parts fine
don’t all 3000 series spike at times
im not planning on overclocking so would stock cooler be fine?
stock cooler is fine for a 5600x
nah thats mainly the 3080 and 3090 i think
3090 especially when i hits 400+
650 should be fine
65 for the cpu, 40 for the rest of the motherboard, 320 for teh gpu
still alot of room to spare
Stock cooler for the 5600X is fine if not overclocking, 650W is fine for a 3070TI as long as you aren't manually adjusting voltages or OCing
Yep. You should only be undervolting with an offset on 30 series card anyway. Even with a power limit offset a gold 650w should handle it.
I was a bit worried about running my 6800XT on a 750W Platinum PSU but I haven't had any power issues with it and it still boosts up to 2400mhz +
umm what
What?
get 750 watt psu.
650 is plenty for that build
How can you get one for that price? Most of what i find are above a 1000
AWD.IT lmao, they sell everything cheap
if you want to get one at that price, one of your best bets is from scan
Do you know anywhere that has stock?
lowest awd.it goes for a 3070ti is £800 lmfao
Crap it’s a 3060ti not 3070ti😢
the build i sent is cheaper from them than to build it myself from the main retailers
BEN
RAFEE
HI
Pre-build is still the best option in U.K. I guess
hey fireball
Hey Rafee
yeh ig so
You're good, it's just not PC related
i did not see you had a meme channel
why are u everywhere
coz stupidity is everywhere aswell
😂
You really just want my first paycheck to go poof, don't you
It is very good. And 200 off is a steal
Well that was the review for it
It's used like new, that's why
Still pretty good. Unless there is something wrong with it like a dead pixel
Apparently not
Yeah I read that review
I guess even with the discount its a lot of money to spend in one go
What would it be replacing?
That's exactly why, I've never spent more than 400 on a single part
And that was the gpu
I have a s2719dgf right now
You could get the 27GP83-a if you want a cheaper alternative
Or are you really wanting UW?
I heard the acer nitro ultra wide is good
Not curved, which I feel like I'd want on such a big monitor
Well tbf with 4K being so hard to run and LG monitors being inherently great. You could keep it for a good while.
I’ll probably be staying on 1440p until GpU generation after next.
I could also take the Dell stand and use it as a Vesa mount, not that I have a ton of space to adjust on my desk
Hi, the rival 310 mouse software software does not work, the program starts then a gray screen appears, please help
That’s a good idea. Should give you better ergonomics

#archive-user-support or #official-support is where you want to go
I wrote on user support and no one wrote back
Can you use Xbox 360 controller on PC?
Sure
And laptops?
Laptops are the same
People treat pcs and laptops as something super separate but they're really not
I have like the usb cable for the Xbox 360 controller
But is not working
Not recognizing it
It does a sound when I connect it
A laptop is just a compact desktop with reduced clocks and a battery
It said something about unknown device connected
I'm confused on how some builds support ddr4 3600 memory but some dont
my limited understanding is that any ram above a certain speed (which i dont actually remember) is actually being overclocked to that speed (which is what the XMP profiles are) but the ram has been pretested to confirm that the speed is stable, so its about your motherboard chipset and how much ram overclocking it allows for. Though i'm sure someone with more knowledge can correct me if i'm wrong
Ohh
Ok
So if that is the case then do I need to play around with the bios or anything
Or is it automatic
You'll have to enable xmp in the bios
Motherboard’s. Amd motherboards allow any speed up to 3600mhz. Past that some cheap motherboards struggle.
Z series motherboards allow full Overclocking.(Ram past 2666 is classed as Overclocking)
Only b560’s support 2666+ ram. H series and b460’s don’t
But make sure it’s enabled in bios via xmp/docp
ahhhh
so it all depends on how much room the motherboard allows for
what about the CPU?
i've heard stuff like "ryzen 5000s are a good choice for 3600mhz"
Well Ryzen likes high speed ram
Ya ryzen can do 3600 on zen 2 and Zen3, Zen 3 can do 3733/3800 pretty consistently
Intel can do 4000+
Maybe 4400 in good conditions
it's ram,motherboard and chip dependent
Most motherboards can do atleast 4000mhz before having issues.
Aslong as it isn’t locked, and isn’t a £90 budget option it should be ok
3600mhz cl16 ballistix is a good option for both amd and intel builds.

learn how to build a pc
In this video I show you some tips and tricks when building a PC
So uhm i am moving soon to my university and i need a pc. I leave my old one at my parents home.
I am thinking about getting a mini pc onle for office work.
Does anyone has any recommendations?
I mean, its it sensible to get a mini pc?
Budget... doesn't matter.
Mostly office work, editing documents, writing term papers.
Maybe a bit gaming
if you don't care too much about the budget, intel nucs cover the whole spectrum of performance
they are definitely not cheap
Do you live in the UK
EU
England?
No. Germany
That’s a feels bad
Would a mod be so kinda as to look at this channels recent chat log and send what I posted to DJ here? I wrote a good amount of stuff and linked him a Laptop and I really don’t want to have to write it out again.
I will recommend a Laptop I think is great. A mini PC is worth it too if you’re staying in your dorm, but for times where you would be required to write during your lectures, I like to do all my writing on a Laptop so I have everything in one place.
MSI Stealth 15M A11UEK-070UK FHD 144 Hz 15.6 Inch Gaming Laptop (Intel i7-11375H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 6GB, 1TB NVMe Gen3*4 PCIe SSD, 16 GBRAM, Intel Wi-Fi 6) Carbon Gray-Black https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08ZYNR7HZ/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_a_WYX7AFP962GGRM482YM6
This one is very worth it for the money. Sleek design and just looks nice and light enough to carry around, very good hardware. This thing will do all your heavy gaming sessions, if you play more demanding titles. Sure it may be overkill, but be that a Laptop just for Uni, but I think for future proofing, this is a good all round Laptop for gaming. It also has a storage expansion to you can add more storage and upgradeable RAM, if you want more memory etc. Also due to it’s thin design the key presses are also pretty quiet so you wont disturb others all that much c: if someone is bothered fk em xD
Thank you!
Read the above. Hopefully it provides you with a bit of info.
thank you guys @crimson scroll @young mist
You’re utmost welcome o/
The stealth 15m is thin, but not very powerful
MSI is not a brand i would recommend for budget laptops
Any Ideas of where I could find a GPU (looking for an Nivida 900 or 10 series card)
The aftermarket, wherever's more convenient for you
I haven’t been able to find any
Not surprising
is 3200hz ram enough for 5800x
Ebay
For 2x what they should cost
@upbeat lagoon i'd recommend at least 3600C16 for Zen 3. Crucial ballistix is cheap and good for the price
At around 90-100$/€ for a 16gb kit
sad i asked because i alredy use 3200hz :(
Well it's not the end of the world depending on what game you play. I hope you don't play Call of Duty Warzone though
Yea you'll be fine
nice
I mean you'd be fine even if you played Warzone (i recommend you actually try it, it's fun)
my gpu is not upto the task atm
What graphics card do you have?
Prices won't go down in years
That's the sad reality. Work harder
Not readily
For msrp?
Obviously not. However you will simply not get a card for MSRP right now
I managed to obtain an RTX 3070Ti for 999€, an Asus TuF at that and i think i got a really good deal.
Here there's over 25 RTX 2060 ASUS Dual gpu:s available for 550€
Which isn't bad, because a 2060 is not much worse than a 3060
Like 10% worse or so
Do the steelseries engine software no longer detect or support the headset arctis 3?
i think if u would want a gpu i'd rather buy a amd one from amd.com
there u can find one msrp
bought rx6900xt from it
I would never buy an AMD gpu
why that
Never say never
Nothing inherently wrong with them, you just get so much more with Nvidia.
Also i've had so many bad experiences of them in the past.
mehh, imean u could get an 'rtx 3090' with the price of a rtx 3070
No nvenc, no dlss
That's more than enough reason for me
I'm also satisfied with my RTX 3070Ti, it's great at 1080p :)
u have special amd programms which espacially if u also have a ryzen cpu you can boost ur peformance by 10-40%
40% isn't realistic
true
Just don't fanboy
well, if you want to keep ur intel and nvidia. they are absolutely not bad like imean still top of the top so im happy for u
Reason why i pay premium is simply the fact that i know what i'm getting
its not like when amd says u get that much of ghz they won't give it too u
That's why for example i bought the Asus TuF version of 3070Ti instead of something else
Yeah, but also AMD cpu:s are just not fun to tinker with
tinker?
Depends on the game you play.
warzone?
For example
Also i'd literally have to buy a Ryzen 9 5950x just to get a meaningul performance increase from my age old i9 9900k, rather wait for Alder lake
There's a lot of 🤦♂️ in what I'm reading
Feel free to give your opinion
No need to be shy, i'm not a kid
I'm well aware that in many applications AMD cpu:s are just better, but for what i use my computer for, i wouldn't gain much framerates for my games that i play, it makes no sense for me to ugprade yet
Not particularly great.
Manual tuning of the auto boost system is best
I wont buy another nvidia gpu. Their linux support is horrible
Proprietary drivers, missing features, its not good
What drivers aren't proprietary
Mesa
Intel and amd linux drivers
Intel doesnt even have a proprietary linux driver
Nvidia locks features in their firmware so only the proprietary driver can use them
laughs in 5900X and 6800XT as I read through this conversation
Subtle flex 😆
I will literally never put another Nvidia product in any of my PCs ever again. Out of the two cards I've had, one in a desktop and one in a laptop, both of them died (my 970 actually caught fire inside my case). Plus I absolutely hate the company's position on open source software, which is to say they are against anything open source and want everything to be proprietary and under their control
Who? Me? No, I would never....😳
Yeah its annoying
I wont be linux gaming mostly, it would be development and personal use
Fair enough, I’ll always buy what’s best for me. And NVidia provide the better product for now
laughs in 5900x and rx6900xt as i read this
Best way to gain frame rate on intel is ram oc/tune. And cpu oc if it’s unlocked.
Already done
Got viper steels from patriot tuned at 3800 15-15-15-35 subs and tertiaries as tight as they go with trfc as low ad possible and trefi maxed and 38ns latency etc. motherboard is a limiting factor. Can't oc higher than 4.9ghz/46 ring, voltages and cooling reach the limits. 1.376v stable with that ram tune.
based
cries in gt1030
my ram is absolutely cursed
:(
I'm running 2400 12-14-14-28
I'll be overclocking my GPU today
repasted it probably for the first time in 6 years
is thereany meaning in ocing a 1030 fanless??
nope
Wow nice ram tune dude
What voltage and die you running?
B-Die Samsung, 3800 is the absolute limit of the mobo for 2 sticks since T-Topology board... I also doubt an another kit would help much, i think my cpu is just a bad unit. Imc seems weak on it.
Oh 8ns nice
ah rip T-Top
Any higher and it might be able to do cl14
RIP
I'm limited both by my board and my ICs lmao
B250 limiting me to DDR4-2400 and 1.1v VCCSA
Ouch
Also i believe i have mine at 1.45v, that is of no concern. I have a ram fan
it gets unstable over 1.35v
what tREFI do you run?
Could push to 1.5-1.6v and you might be able to tighten further. 3800 cl14 possible
Just need to keep temps down. But with a ram fan you should be ok.
a RAM fan?
Yep
Only reason you’d get one is for high voltage B-die
Corsair make a nice ram fan setup. Or you can just cable tie an 80mm to them.
Huh
I didnt even know that was a thing
Do you think DDR5 RAM is gonna need active cooling?
I have tried 14:s, but even at 1.55v no dice. I should try 1.6v
Yes
I got the corsair vengeance ram fan actually
I’ve heard about some manufacturers offering Active cooling ram sets.
Although at jedec prolly not
on-board voltage regulation
should be fine with a heatspreader and some airflow for most regular kits
If your Overclocking it’s likely you’ll want one
But at ≈ 5000mhz-7000mhz you should be ok.
gateron ink black or gmmk gateron blacks
Oh damn, forogt
Might aswell run TM5 while watching prime and go for 14:s
Time to test this
Yea that's a nope
any recommendations on a $500 pc? I was thinking Ryzen 5 1600AF as processor because its 6 cores 12 threads plus is pretty cheap but dont have any idea of graphics card?
its about $400 without gpu
Zen+ would be better
Zen1 is unsupported by windows 11
For a $500 pc, you may be able to get a 1050ti but may have to settle for a 950
@white sequoia can u send link to a 950 pls
Is a ryzen 7 3700x with a rtx3070 a good combo?
yeah
If you're going 30 series GPU I would personally recommend finding a 56 or 5800X CPU to go with it. The 3700X is good, but if you don't need the two extra cores and are mainly focused on gaming then the 5600X blows it out of the water
Ok really appreciated I’m looking at this prebuilt rn and was wondering I’m still on the edge of building one my self don’t know tho
Building yourself is always recommended but with the GPU shortage that has no end in sight pre-builts are honestly the best way to get cards without selling your organs to a scalper for one lol
But for pre-builts I'd definitely recommend looking at Ryzen 5000 systems, especially the 5600X if you're mainly wanting to game
Ok thank you so much
or 11600k/f
GN called it a waste of sand
Ite but a 5600x would be better
Ye, sadly you’d need to spend extra on a cooler for the 5800x tho.
That's why I recommended the 5600X if they don't need the extra cores and are just going to primarily be gaming
Do you guys think a 2600 to a 5600X is worth the upgrade?
Yes
yes.
oh btw theelepel i bought a pc after a year!
to see if its worth it
noice
did u waste the money on the o11?
rx6900xt and r9 5900x
no
found them for a good price
the whole build for 2,5k eurotjes
32gb ram
2tb ssd en 4tb hdd
rm850
H155I Corsair
little bit of overkill but yeaaahhh
'fUtuRE PrOOF'
yikes
not good?
Depends on what ur gonna use the build for
If it’s jsut discord and minecraft, yes, overkill
roblox.
jkjkjkjkjkjkjk
nah games like warzone and streaming and that stuff
also editing
Yeah I wouldn’t call that overkill exactly but you’re definitely future proofing pretty well lol
What mobo
i already have it xD
its more like in belgium they don't sell lian li and that stuff
so got the corsair obsidian 500d rgb se
Bruh
yeaaaaaahhhh
Thats a gorgeous fucking case
is it good?
The 400d and 500d series are beautiful
Yeah I’ve personally recommend the 400d case to my friends and 2 of them actually copped it
Just a beautiful case overall
Send pic
Nice
oh yeah the gpu is liquid cooled
don't ask me how
This is not it current place btw
Just wanted to test if it works
you prolly already know this but psu extension cables so that u have nice fabric cables instead of those weird plastic wire things - they can rly bring a setup together nicely especially if u get a nice colour themed one going w ur setup
also for ur top mounted fans, u could rotate them 180 degrees so that the wires are facing the mobo, not the front of the case
wouldnt i need a new mobo?
i have a b450 boardf
Its not a big thing yk
The fact
That i have 2 aios in it
And in total 6 fans
I nearly don’t hear it
Is just insane
Im planning to get a second monitor and a monitor stand
I didn’t know Corsair had such quiet cases lol
That’s pretty fire
What monitor do u have rn and which one do u plan to get
Msi mag272cqr
27’ 165hz 1440p
Planning to get the same ig
Its nice to have both monitors match
That’s got
Hot*
Setup acc gonna look perfect
You’re gonna get a single monitor stand or one that supports two?
I'm probably going to try and get a second Gigabyte G27Q around November or December when those holiday discounts hit and finally ditch this 22" 1080p 75hz monitor and use it for my secondary setup that I keep at my parent's place to plug my laptop into when I go over there
Dual
Rhat is if i buy a monitor
It is a monitor or apex pro
One of the 2
Monitor!
I already have some keyboard out of amazon
ehich is just alr
Rgb works and all that stuff
Apex pro would be nicer
but yeaahh
Dual monitor is sickk
playing roblox on 2 screens

3440x1440
yes, but the issue with ddr5 right now is that intel 12th gen, which is the only generation of cpu's that can support ddr5 have a different socket and ddr5 sticks are different than ddr4 sticks
I got a 23 inch 1080p 70hrz monitor
it's...
okay
it does the job well its just bare minimum
it doesn't even have speakers😃
Crappy pic in #archive-battlestations melker
A monitor having speakers generally isn't a huge deal
so to get ddr5 you need intels 12th gen which hasnt came out yet and a completely new motherboard that hasnt been designed yet. If im wrong about any of this please correct me anyone
They're not great sounding
alright that makes sense ig
idk how much better ddr5 is
same here, just stick with your current setup bc like ddr4 when it came out it wasnt the best, wait a couple days after launch to see if its worth getting and if not wait a couple months bc people are bound to be fixing that issue quick, why would you upgrade if its not worth it you know?
^
It is significantly faster... But at a huge cost. I know a guy who works for a channel that reviews stuff so he's been playing around with ddr5 and it's faster, but that's because he has insanely high end kits
👍
yeahhh imma stick with my ddr4 32 gb kit
DDR5 kits will have high latency at the start either way iirc
yes, it would be a total upgrade... ram cpu and mobo, since its a new platform and will probably have better price/performance items by then
Yep, kits are like 5500, cl32 which is pretty shocking considering some DDR4 kits do 4400 cl16
like what games? roblox?
thats nice
🍉
So I play warzone on a ultrawide monitor at 1440p, and I have a standard 1920x1080p monitor that my GPU is rated for (Asus strip rog 5600xt)... should I switch the monitor?
Chill, I don't think he's trying to be degrading
it can play fortnite on 60 fps stable so idk i consider that as smooth
hello gentlemen, so i'm shopping for a GPU (in the worst time possible 2021) and i'm in an eastern European country and stuff here is much more expensive, i have friends in Germany and the USA, anyways the point being i want to buy a GPU between the price 600-700$ or something around 600€ could anyone recommend a link to a gpu, a recommendation to a model, or a website. Thanks in advance
Use Newegg shuffle to try and buy one, the only problem is normally they’re bundle deals
Aight I’ll check it out
Will the Ryzen 7 5800x bottleneck the 3080 ti?
No
I didn't think so but I saw something somewhere about it doing it and I wasn't sure
not unless u play at 480p
even then ram speed will be your main issue
Alr I didn't think it would I was just making sure
anybody know a pc i can build with the parts being between 1400 pounds and 2000 pounds
You can build a lot with that
what could i get for that?
Do you have anything in mind?
i know some parts lemme just screenshot it and dm you
5600x, 3070/3070ti/6700xt-6800xt. 750w psu, 16gb of 3600mhz cl16 ballistix, b550 aorus elite v2
Built pretty much that for 1700
730 for the 3060ti
That’s what I said too
And b450 is unnecessary
Wdym unnecessary?
Overpriced ram
Ram is probably just for aesthetics tbh
Maybe not the best wording, just got for b550 instead pretty much
Yeah
Ouch what cooler for that 5800x
Don’t get Corsair ram
Get crucial ballistix 3600 cl16
Guys I’m gonna be honest I don’t know basically nothing about pcs I know some things, but not as much as you guys, so I do apologise if some of the parts aren’t good
Forgot sorry
Shall I get a nvidia gpu or amd gpu
Preferance and availability decide that
I use too many of the Nvidia exclusive features to switch, but that's not to say AMD doesn't also have great cards
AMD for linux
you get whatever's available
Whatever is best price/available
Ok, honestly if you don’t have a solid cooler or a use for 8 cores I would get a 5600x
what do you guys think of this?
and also what cooler, ssd .etc. should i get?
@queen violet
@craggy sparrow
@raw marsh
Arctic liquid freezer II, 240 or 280 depending on your case
Stock cooler is fine for 5600x unless your Overclocking
SN850 is a great SSD, can be expensive tho
whats overclocking
Manually adjusting the cpu to increase the clock speed
Which means better performance
240 280 what
sorry i dont know much about pcs
Mm
oh ok
They mean a radiator which you won’t need unless you overclock
Which you might as well
It does take time and involves going into bios however
ok i wont need that then
what do you think?
SN850 is the best ssd, but the Kingston kc2500 is a great budget option.
shall i get a samsung one
Not much point considering the 970 is near enough matched by the kc2500 for cheaper and the 980 is beaten by the SN850
ok cool so do you think i should the kc2500
Ya it’s a good option
Btw don’t necessarily use Amazon for everything. It might be more expensive
thats what i thought too
You can use this to make a list
It will show the cheapest prices and where to find em
I think the 3070 is overpriced
Wherever is cheapest
GPU prices are especially dependant on where you are looking.
what do you reccomend then
Finding a 3070 from somewhere else for cheaper
Yeah
ok nice
$1000usd for a 3070 is stupid
alright ima do a lot of research and when im done i will ping you guys and send a screenshot
btw why is there a big diff bewteen the 3060 and 3070
I saw a radeon VII with noctua fans ziptied to it for $2000usd
3060ti vs 3070 is about 8-10%
They are different gpus?
oh ok
But the one I linked is actually a decent deal
i will probally pick whichs cheaper
The one I linked then
Also it has rgb and is one of the best performing of its class
Crap the link got deleted one sec
Can I dm it to you?
yeah
Wait a second does it say discontinued for you too?
yeah
I got my 3070 from wish pretty cheap ngl
It was like 200 below market price
Yea. . It works fine
Idk i found the 3070 there and ut works good
Currently re-building my PC for a new case and a light that corresponds to "DRAM" lights up. My GPU and RAM are in correctly, so is everything else. I was wondering if I could get some help please?
All the cables are in
HDD and all.
I'll just swap my RAM around I guess.
Can be ram or cpu related
@dire granite
Try 1 stick of ram. If that does work change ram slots. If that doesn’t work change sticks and repeat
If none of that works try reseat you’re cpu.
And check for bent pins
Okay, thanks!
Looks good. Is the PNY the best you could find?
Uhh what’s a pny
Sorry I know nothing about pcs
All good
What about this instead?
