In my case the Beyerdynamic dt 770 pro.

But for example if you have a bell at 300-500hz region which is usually the range of footsteps as in the thump sound. I boost that to 6db so i get accurate reading of how close or where exactly they are.

I've had a hard time going down that path. Typically setting the right gain and the right fixed EQ profile is the beast approach, otherwise it can really mess up the sound. Plus the more EQ you add, the more distortion and phase incoherence you get

Equalizer APO with the PEACE addon can give you all that already on the PC side

You can tune your EQ but set a gain clamp and prevent distortion

But it can hurt sound quality just a little for critical music listening

I think you can do a trial on Windows but yeah it's $20. It works on every headset, headphone, speaker output, etc. though. On the Windows store, search for "Dolby Atmos"

Well no- I don't even think steelseries has made a headphone that has active noise cancellation besides the coming up nova, and even then it seems to only be on the wireless version. the noise cancellation your thinking of is the microphone noise cancellation that just makes it easier for software applications to cut out background noise. (I mean I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is all right)

Normally microphone noise is based on preamplifiers.

I know for audiointerfaces in case you have an microphone amp that is noisy, you could use something like cloudlifter or simply a fethead.

Comes for both dynamic and condenser microphones.

But when it comes to headset microphones that is a different ballgame.

I think somewhere above i was talking about a de-noise application that could help you with that, at the cost of delayed audio ( latency ).

Also - Xbox mode allows dual audio stream, one for chat, one for game audio wirelessly. Whereas PS combines both into a single stream

Well in my opinion from the sounds and looks of things yes as the nova has it's own gamedac that's even supposed to be version 2 of the pro's. but so far I've heard 1 complaint of a hissing noise coming from the mic but I think they found out what it was from and fixed it

That’s a great question. I don’t think you can get the 2.0 dac separately as of right now so I don’t even know if the general public can know this information. If the arctis pro wireless’ worked with the pro’s game dac then I’d imagine the answer is yes, if hooked up to the 2.0 dac, but can’t answer for sure

Well no. I’m actually talking about those yes. Afaik as of right now we the general public do not know if the nova pro wireless will work with the nova pro wired’s game dac. The second part of my ramble was kinda covering the arctis pro and arctis pro wireless. If the pro wireless is compatible with a game dac on the arctis line, then I’d imagine nova’s wireless will also be compatible with the nova pro’s dac. If that makes sense. If not then oops

So, I sent in a ticket for clarification between the APNW and the APNWX... ...and it's bad. ONLY get the APNWX if you only plan on using it with an Xbox. It isn't recognized properly by Windows, and has very limited functionality when connected to anything but an Xbox.

The Xbox port on the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless for Xbox will work if you connect it to your PC, but it will be recognized as "Xbox Controller". Due to how the device is recognized this will put limitations on the features you can use, and you will not be able to utilize PC features like Sonar when using the Xbox port. The Xbox port will not work with other devices like PS4/5 or Nintendo switch. This is why we recommend using the Xbox port only to connect to your Xbox and do not list it as being compatible with other devices. For anyone that does not intend to use the Xbox port with Xbox, we would highly recommend getting the PC or Playstation model of the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless so you can access all of the great features offered through Sonar and have full device compatibility with both USB-C ports instead of one for Xbox and the second one for either PC or PS.
