2.4gHz wifi bands interfere with the headsets connection to the mixer, so you get audio interference that sounds like garbled static cutting in and out.

Crazy thing - this happens to some computers sometimes. Many solutions that don't usually work, this happened to me before. My solution was to download a previous engine version lol

SteelSeries was much worse back in 2011 something. I worked at a place sponsored by SteelSeries and we kept getting new 5Hv2 units because the soldering i one side would fail. Each of them came with a double mini jack extender, so I ended up with so many of those

Due to a bug in Discord's screen capture, Discord may capture Sonar outputs as part of the desktop audio, which can lead to echoing when screen sharing.

This issue can be fixed by setting Discord's capture to only capture a specific app. Application capture will only play audio from the selected app, and will not erroneously capture Sonar audio.

Alternatively, if you'd still want to capture the full desktop, you can use Sonar's streamer mode to manually choose what audio to send over your mic, and mute the stream sharing audio. More information on how to do this is in the links below.

If you're still getting an echo, or if your echo is happening even without screensharing, please contact SteelSeries Support at the link below.

this issue is due to discord streaming every sonar channel sounds + your headset duplicating it all

its just discord not being made to work properly with any virtual audio device software

you could just stream app only and avoid the echo

Hey all — sharing something I built for Apex Pro + Sonar users in case it's useful.

The Apex Pro Gen 3's volume roller and media button only adjust Windows master volume, even when Sonar is running. I opened a support ticket asking whether they could be remapped to Sonar channels instead. The reply was that this wasn't currently supported. I left the ticket open in case anything changed; haven't heard back, so I built it myself.

It's a small Windows tray app that:

Cycles Sonar channels (Game / Chat / Media / Aux) with the media button
Adjusts the active channel's volume with the roller
Shows the channel + level on the keyboard's OLED
Updates the Sonar GG sliders live as you turn the wheel
Free, open source (MIT), installer with a proper Add/Remove Programs entry:

They all go through SteelSeries GG the same way, so the same approach should apply.

I had this issue with my nova 5 every time you turn on your pc you gotta switch the audio output and deal with it or just delete the app and set your gamebuds as default

really annoying because radeon clipping doesnt pick up sonar audio

now because i uninstalled GG when this issue happened i lost all my settings, can someone tells me how to fix (devices going for the same channel on all Mixer tabs)

i used to switch game for example to my headset and media to my speackers

That's a classic sign that your SteelSeries button triggered a macro or profile switch that remapped your keyboard. Here's what's likely happening and how to fix it:
What's going on: The SteelSeries button activated a profile or macro that bound the "p" key to output p0; instead of just p.
How to fix it:

Press the SteelSeries button again — it may cycle through profiles, and clicking it again might restore the normal one.
Open SteelSeries GG / Engine software and check:

Which profile is currently active
If any macro is bound to the "p" key in that profile
Switch back to your default profile

Check for a "base/default" profile in the software and set it as active.
If you don't have the software open, try holding the SteelSeries button for a few seconds — some devices reset to the default profile that way.

The 0; part after the p suggests it's a macro string, possibly left over from a gaming config (like a console command format). Once you're back on the default profile it should go away instantly — no restart needed.

That p0;. repeating means:

the button is sending a text macro in a loop
it’s probably set to repeat while held / toggle repeat
and it’s also likely including extra keys (0 ; .) in the macro string

So it’s not random — it’s literally programmed spam right now.

🔧 Fix it fast:

1. Kill the macro in SteelSeries GG

Open SteelSeries GG
Go to your device → Bindings
Click that button
If it shows anything like:
Macro
Text Macro
Sequence
👉 DELETE IT or set to “Unassigned / Default”

2. Check repeat mode
   If you see options like:

“While pressed”
“Toggle”
“Repeat”

👉 Make sure it’s NOT on repeat/toggle

3. Reset the profile (quick nuke option)
   If it’s still cursed:

Create a new config/profile
Switch to it
Test again

4. Important clue: your P key is also broken
   That’s a red flag for:

hardware keyboard issue (stuck matrix / spill / damage)
OR software remap affecting multiple inputs

So also do this test:

Open a keyboard tester site
Press P only
See if it outputs weird combos
⚡ If it STILL spams after closing GG:

Then it’s not software anymore — it’s:

stuck key circuit
damaged keyboard row
or ghost input from hardware
