I think I may have figured it out but I can't hear anything (no in game noise or the music it self).

I see the audio bars moving in the media channel so I do think the music is being streamed to voice chat, I can hear literally nothing though.

When you select your stream mix device to sonar stream mix right

That stream mix will get whichever channel you want and your mic sound

Then you put that sonar strream mix as your input in the game

So in game your mic device will be sonar stream mix

Since that stream mix will contain mic sound + other channels you add to it

Under master if you click the ear icon you can listen to the stream mix yourself to make sure the right sounds are being output by it

The new driver update for my arctis nova pro messed up the audio. Have to use a different USB for it to work

Well, the sofware in general is good, but it is some kind of faulty too. In the mixer we have Master, Game, Chat, Media, Aux and Micro. The thing is the following. ALL the windows sounds a running over GAME which is the wrong way. And, at MASTER there is NO device listed to choose. The right way should be MASTER (Windows sounds only), GAME (games sound only).

I use a USB-A DAC for headphones on my laptop. Occasionally, a port will stop outputting audio signal to the DAC. The DAC stays connected to the laptop, as it still shows up as a device on windows and the screen on the DAC remains functional.

Current Fix:

Device Manager --> Universal Serial Bus Controllers

Uninstall Intel (R) USB 3.20 eXtensible Host Controller -1.20 (Microsoft)

Restart Laptop to complete uninstall, during reboot the Host Controller is reinstalled.

Laptop Model: Acer Predator

OS: Microsoft Windows 11 Version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.7462)

Headset/DAC: Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless with included DAC.

I have tried with and without Sonar installed, and updating the firmware through there. No applications have the permission to take exclusive control over the audio devices. USB selective suspend has been disabled. All USB, Thunderbolt, CPU, GPU, Audio drivers have been reinstalled. Ran DISM. Seems to happen after waking the device from sleep mode or after starting it up from the powered down state, doesn't typically happen while the DAC is actively in use.

Unable to find any fixes thus far and was hoping that someone more knowledgeable that I may be able to help.

Maybe i am paranoid, but after last update my arctis nova 7 will bug sometimes when turned on and charging, then turning off -> Then i have yellow light stedy, nothing reacts and i need to restart the headset. Or showing yellow battery status when on 80% battery charge... Someone simillar issues? hello i have steelseries arctis nova pro dac sc-00008 about a year. and it is worst headset, sound sudenly gets to 100% with static noise and craking. all drivers are up to date. then i plug out dac or shut down steelseries gg app sound become normal. and after some time same thing starts over.

Make sure that your sound settings are correct. Sonar basically creates a bunch of “fake” audio devices to route your stuff. If it didn’t assign automatically, go into your sound settings and make sure discord goes into the chat one (it’ll be something like “steelseries sonar (chat)”, but way longer, kinda goofy) and your games are routed into the games one.
