Hi, I just got my Arctis Nova Pro Wireless 2 weeks ago. I've used it twice. Yesterday, I turned on my headset, it connected like usual, but my base station won't turn on. I've tried unplugging and plugging it back in...I've tried pressing and holding the big volume button...I've tried messing with the display settings with live changes via GG, but still, it's like the base station is off.

the function CHATMIX was working properly but one day the sounds became quieter and when I went into the software I saw that the chatmix function was set to listening mode and because of this I can barely hear the game. I have a slider, but when I move it, nothing changes, even though it used to work. I've tried uninstalling the device and adding it again, uninstalling the software, and checking the drivers, but nothing seems to work.

Hello, I have SS Pro Wireless and i have issue with it. Although I use Sonar, when I talk on Discord my voice goes 1-2 second late. I have no internet connection problem, when I use different brand headphones I'm not facing with this issue to be honest. It happens only when I use SS Pro Wireless.

Oh yes I had the exact same issue too! For me it was caused by sonar - I mean at least on my setup it causes big stutters in games and audio delays ( Ryzen 9 btw so idk how they managed to mess it up that hard but sonar also takes up now 15-35% when using chat channel and game + mic ) Around 60-120ms of audio delay. I just turned sonar off and all of my issues disappeared so far

Hey there. Things have been mostly good since getting my arctis pro wireless & using sonar, but I can only control one channel volume using my keyboard or windows volume adjustment.

It only controls the one set as the output. Yet there is no "Master" channel to select as the output.

How is this meant to be setup so that windows system volume controls all channels?

I have two nova pro wireless and I can't update the firmware on the better pair cause it's base station is dead.

It seems that you have to use the original base station to update the firmware

I have two sets, headset and base station A and headset and base station B.

I am using headset A with base station B because base station A is broken (won't power on). Headset B is useable but has a broken part that is a nuisance when wearing them.

When I'm using headset A with base station B steelseries engine can only detect the base station as being plugged in. If I pair headset B to base station B it detects the headset and lets me update the firmware

I wouldn't really care if Sonar didn't lock me out when it detects out of date firmware

the xbox version does connect to all three, but the dual USB ports on DAC get changed to only having one plug for xbox only and one plug for PC/PS (compared to the other versions where both USB ports work on PC/PS)

Hi everyone, I have this Problem with my Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, it used to work just fine when plugging in my Laptop but after I connected the headset via Bluetooth once, the Base Station stopped working to play audio on the Headset on that Laptop. The headset connects to the Station just fine. I hear all the sounds when connecting or changing settings on the base station, but the PC doesn't seem to give any output to the Base. I tried to uninstalling the Bluetooth device from Windows but that didn't fix it. I reset the base station and the headset to factory settings multiple times aswell. Is there any way I can undo this? Does anyone know about something like this?

I have an external mic (Elgato XLR) and the steel series wireless reciever/transmitter plugged into my Behringer XENYX 302USB wich is connected to my pc via USB. I dont use the mic on the Arctis Nova Pro. Sonar settings are set to Flat. Any Media or Voice chat I listen to is has distortion to it as if someone is screaming into the microphone. But that also occurs on normal media like youtube at normal volume levels. So I dont know what is causing it.

Many SteelSeries headsets come with Sidetone, which allow you to hear yourself through the headset’s mic for better clarity when talking.

those keys usually light up when you're holding the steelseries key down, so if it's lighting like that all the time, then it's possible that the key switch for the steelseries key is broken

I am expecting an Arctis Nova Pro Wireless for Christmas. My biggest concern is the microphone and I have a question regarding it.

Sonar will only work through the PC. That is, I cannot use it to enhance the sound of the mic when used with my iPhone (Bluetooth). But, when I want to have a conversation with a friend (a non-gamer) even while I game, I’d like to get the fidelity that Sonar can bring to the microphone. Could we not just converse over my PC’s WhatsApp app (NOT my iPhone’s WhatsApp app) rather than using the iPhone’s built-in “phone” app? I’m thinking that this would get me around from using Bluetooth and allow me to take advantage of Sonar’s capability to enhance the sound of the mic. Is there any reason this would not work?

Try using solid, pure Red, Green and Blue colors on all keys. You might see some turn off. This tells you those specific colored LEDs have died on those switches

alternatively, you can export the video from moments. the exporting process will combine all the audio tracks into one

I bought steelseries arctic 5 headphones for myself. I connect the headphones to my computer via tangle 2.4Ghz. I have installed the GG steelseries app to adjust the sound. It has an Engine tab, which has settings for the general audio profile for headphones, broken down by connection method (2.4Ghz or via Bluetooth). This tab works and changes the sound with the appropriate profile.
And there is a sonar tab, which is designed for finer tuning of sound profiles, where you can adjust the sound for each profile (games, music, chat) using an equalizer.
So the problem is that changing the settings in this tab does not affect the sound in the headphones in any way.
My os is WIndows 11. GG version 101.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) works by using microphones to pick up external sounds and then generating an opposite sound wave to reduce them. This is most effective on constant, low-frequency noises like engine hums, air conditioning, or distant traffic. Higher-frequency or irregular sounds, such as fan blade turbulence or sudden noises, are much harder to fully cancel. Because of that, hearing a ceiling fan - especially at close range - is completely normal and not an indication that the headset is defective.

ANC is designed to reduce noise, not create total silence. When no audio is playing, your brain is more sensitive to the remaining background sounds, which can make them feel louder or more noticeable. Once you start playing music, a game, or voice audio, the remaining noise is naturally masked and becomes far less perceptible. In real-world use, ANC works together with whatever you are listening to, rather than replacing it entirely. What you are describing fits normal ANC behavior.

If you’re using that keyboard with Linux then there’s basically no customization available because Prism is required and SteelSeries doesn’t offer any Linux support.

The different config profiles on the keyboard should offer different default lighting options

SteelSeries Sonar has “Device Fallback” that will automatically switch the outputs on Sonar.

Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in Sonar. Simply click on your devices in the Mixer and open the Device Manager in Sonar.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same Device Manager menu. Simply drag and drop to set the order of devices.

Many SteelSeries headsets come with Sidetone, which allow you to hear yourself through the headset’s mic for better clarity when talking.

hey guys - has anyone ever had issues with the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless when plugged into a Thunderbolt dock (Using the CalDigit TB4 Elements Hub)? I've noticed a lot of crackling sound and the volume is significantly lower than when the DAC is plugged directly into my PC.

I've also noticed that aside from the higher volume when the DAC is plugged directly into my PC I see it reporting as a USB 3.0 device (versus USB 2.1 when plugged in to my hub) using the same cable.

i bought the new Arctis Nova 7 Gen 2's about 2 weeks ago, & the power LED now is a solid green & i cannot turn the headset off at all or reconnect it to my PC via 2.4ghz or Bluetooth. Not sure what else to do, literally have had these for about a week & i can't even use them

just tried reinstalling the GG software & the Power LED is still solid green & GG still says to "reconnect headset" even though the headset itself is on

the dongle's connected & everything but it physically cannot connect because the headset cannot turn itself off & i cannot turn it off even after holding the power button down for several seconds

okay i guess factory resetting them got them to reconnect, still silly i had to do that but at least they work still

fixed that issue
heres three steps i did

1 went to keyboard debugger checked which keys it spams and definitely their keycode
for me besides a q 1 it spammed a non physical key with code 226 like if thats not the one above enter

2 if you still got that one just deactivate it through microsoft powertoys

3 at the end set those keys sensitivity to 2.8-3
you can try and see at which value the keyboard stops spamming

yeah this method is kinda mid cause you cant set high sensitivity but what can you do
its mostly not about software but keyboard being dirty
like i accidentally spilled vodka on it so thats how it is
or maybe try disabling the meta layer bind

Crazy how when you want to report a bug/concern/complaint that you get sent to the main support page where you have to dig for half an hour to figure out how to submit feedback. However, you want to report "something I like" you get sent straight to a typeform prompt where you can sumbit something directly to you. Steelseries is such a scam of a company it is honestly astonishing. I am here to report a concern with the steelseries GG application and its related services in windows 11. I have installed hundreds of programs in my history with windows. None of them, not a single one has ever hit a "CPU usage at start time of 19,057ms (milliseconds)" and this is with only the basic services of your application running. Conhost (8 instances of Conhost actually), GameSense, Prism, Engine, and sonar. Your application drastically slows down my PC start time and like i stated is logged at taking 19,057ms (milliseconds). I have a 24 core CPU running at 6ghz. This is unacceptable and actually insane. There is absolutely no reason this application should take this long to start. Given this you should optimize your application. Maybe that should have been your goal when you reached your 100.00 application version. Which was, and be honest with yourself for a second, was just a marketing stunt and changed absolutely nothing about the application or its functionality with hardware or ANY OPTIMIZATION EFFORTS. maybe you should focus on what is wrong with your application instead of stuffing it full of garbage that I or any of the purchasers of your hardware asked for. Here is a start for you since you can't do your own jobs well. 1. Fix your applications interactions with Variable Refresh Rate enabled monitors. Specifically the windows Variable Refresh Rate option in the "Graphics" section of the native windows settings application not Dynamic Refresh Rate which is a different service and seems to not negatively interact with your application. 2. Give your software users a way to only run the services we want to run, Example: turn everything off except Sonar and Gamesense so we someone could continue to use Sonar and have the sound profile switch based off launched applications. Or to just run the Applications section if someone is playing a game that they want their OLED screen to interact with. There is no reason this should not be an option other than you want as many ways to harvest consumer data as possible. 3. Provide the features you advertised when you sold this hardware. The most prudent thing on my mind is the ability to display system temps on the OLED display. This was advertised on the box of the product i bought as well as in your scamvertisements (advertisements) however the feature is nowhere to be found and your explanations more like excuses are sub par to say the least as everybody else has worked around the winring0 signed driver that you were previously using. I know you were using this as you took this feature away at the same time that windows classified the driver in windows security as harmful and every other application has found a way around this problem such as migrating to the Pawn.io driver. In conclusion this app needs optimization and in your software and hardware integrations current state their is no way i could ever recommend someone purchase your products. You have already lost my repeat business for the other PC in my household as I have decided to go with a different manufacturer because your environment is so terrible in its current state. This transaction totaled over $400 with mouse, keyboard, headset, mousepad, game controller, and I actively steer everyone who asks me away from your products. I'm just one person but if I feel this way there have to be others also. So good luck with your continued enshidification of the brand you have worked so hard to build. My headset still connects to my base station and it functions as normal, but just nothing on the screen. I haven’t been on my PC cause of the holidays so I don’t think I did any updates. I purchased mine 11/24 so it’s kinda silly that it’s already malfunctioning. I don’t know if it’s cause of that sonar software. My fiancé got his a couple years ago and he found out that uninstalling sonar fixed his headset issues, but he had different issues.

Many SteelSeries headsets come with Sidetone, which allow you to hear yourself through the headset’s mic for better clarity when talking.

For most headsets, the volume of the Sidetone can be lowered in SteelSeries Engine, which is part of GG. GG can be downloaded here: https://steelseries.com/gg Additionally, if your device has support in the Arctis Companion App, you can change this setting through the app on your phone.

If you have a “Playstation” version of a headset (such as the Arctis Nova 7P) then your headset may have a physical wheel on the headset for turning the sidetone down.

For analog headsets that use the 3.5mm headphone port, sidetone may be generated by your on-board audio devices. Please refer to your computer manufacturer’s support for more help

So ive recently aquired Helldivers 2, but one issue im having is that my game isnt coming through the "game" audio channel on Sonar. I have to manually move it to the Chat channel to get audio to come through, negating my mixer. The audio also cuts out when a steam notification happens. It is specific to that game, and it is clearly a Sonar issue or else I would hear no audio at all, hence why im asking here. There no option to choose output device on Helldivers so im not sure what to do to solve the issue

The Arctis headsets uses hardware based ChatMix separate from Sonar, so make sure you det the game and chat outputs to the headset's game and chat output if you want to use Sonar for it
