Hey guys anyone did the last critical update to their steelseries nova 5x like a week or two ago I cant remember, and since then the headset is acting up super weird in 2.4 ghz? everytime first time of the day I connect it to my pc it connects as usual and steelseries gg selects it but no sound comes out until I unplug and replug my dongle a few times or restart pc or wait for a while, not sure what's going on but im sure it only started happening since the critical update

Yea I commented it everywhere, it's not a solution, the solution is on steelseries side they have to reupdate the firmware

my current workaround is to unplug and replug the dongle, it's annoying, but at least it works

do it a couple of times if it doesnt work the first time

All the sonar files will be the same unless you have EQed them specifically. Using sonar you can configure the frequencies that youd like for your game. Also look online for an EQ with your headphones to the game you're playing for a possibly better audio experience in game

but in general stick with your headphones audio file until you configure a seperate EQ on sonar then select that one

Sonar broke a lot of things when it came out, then they did some decent work to make it better. "Autoroute" used to work.

I just love how this Software was called SteelSeries Engine and now they neglected the Engine part of it completely to add more slop features that I don't care about in the slightest. Why in the ever living hell would irecord my gameplay with this of all things. This is for adjusting my setup and now it does everything but that

They have no support for Linux as of now and I personally (I don't work for SteelSeries) don't expect them to change that any time soon. Gaming is still very niche imo on Linux with pretty much only Steam Deck advancing it in any meaningful way as of now.

But maybe if Linux ends up getting more marketshare some day. For now you'll have to make due with the user created tools there are.

If you mean in Windows then that's pretty standard Windows behaviour. If you mean Sonar then you should disable the fallback setting or change its settings. It's 100% avoidable in Sonar - just a setting :D

I suspect that issue has nothing to do with the other parts of GG and is purely an issue with Engine. I would suggest you try running the GG installer again without uninstalling first, so that you don't lose your settings

It sounds like you may have Sonar in “Streamer Mode” and your in-game chat output is routed to your stream output that is feeding discord.

I’d suggest taking a look there, and if you can’t resolve it quickly, post in the community support channel to see if someone can help you.

Hello everyone,

First of all, greetings to all. A few weeks ago, I purchased the Arctis Nova Pro and I’m really satisfied with it—there’s not a single doubt I have about the headset itself. However, earlier today when I tried to charge my battery by placing it into the dock, I noticed something odd. The battery was at 25%, but then it suddenly jumped to 75%, and shortly after to 87%. The whole thing happened in about 10 minutes or less.

I suspect the dock or the software might have bugged out. When I disconnected the dock from power and reconnected it using a different USB port, the charge level dropped back down to around 75%—in a way that didn’t make sense. I don’t believe the battery itself is faulty, as the headset is still quite new.

I’ve come across a lot of similar posts online, and honestly, I’m starting to feel a bit concerned. Is there a solution for this issue, or what steps should I take?

Edit: Right now, the battery quickly jumped to 100% and shows as fully charged after reaching 87%. Normally, it doesn’t charge this fast. To be honest, it hasn’t even been half an hour.

i was gifted this mouse and it has this issue where it simply wont stay on when wired. its a bluetooth capable mouse but it should just be advertised as exclusively bluetooth cause thats the only way it will work. my pc does not have bluetooth capability. pages upon pages of people with this same problem in the support page on this server with no reply tells me that this is a known unfixable issue and they dont care. how is this product still on the shelves?

Hi team, I’m using the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7P on PlayStation 5, and I’ve noticed that the microphone sounds very dry, harsh, or noisy, especially compared to how it performs on PC with SteelSeries GG.

Even with AI Noise Cancellation or Noise Reduction enabled and properly tuned via GG, the mic quality on PS5 lacks clarity and picks up background static or "crackling" sounds.

I fixed it by deleting it with Revo uninstaller, normal windows uninstaller probably works too, I then reinstalled it through the website (the quick and easy setup of sonar is awesome) and now it works again. I'd love to hear what went wrong.

For anyone having that static sound issue with the Arctis Nova 5, turn of spatial audio in the windows volume settings. I think it does this because the steel series software has its on spatial audio feature. The issue with these headphones is that they have way tooo many mechanics. The sonar option is aggrivating, the number of equilzers and volume limitters is INSANE AND BEYOND MISLEADING. THe sound is great yall are just doing too much

Try doing the three solid colors, Red, Green and Blue on the whole keyboard. If you see it turn off with one of those colors that means that LED has died

Hi Guys, i just got the Arctis gamebuds and the microphone quality is really bad or it cannot be heard at all. I have tried downloading the GG app but it keep giving me backscreen whenever I move the mouse. It's done this once before and the new one worked for a while but then it suddenly went back to registering it as the original name so I had to change my settings again

They made the choice to change ChatMix from being hardware based to software through Sonar. This means the pay wall to use ChatMix is now gone as you can use any headset with it, not just SteelSeries headsets. This is the case for all Nova headsets.

I'm sure that if you had actually contacted support or the store where you got the product from with enough information, you would have gotten a new mouse within a couple of weeks for sure. If i take the 2 usb type c cables out. No power to push anything if i plug 1 or both type c cable in i hear the sidetone. Yes correct no side tone when the dock is off cause no power.

That would mean what you're hearing isn't directly sidetone from the headset as you'd be hearing that with the transmitter off. So you'll need to figure out where it's coming from on your PC or console

As I had mentioned if use the console type c plug in i hear the sidetone. If its just the pc type c I hear the sidetone. And both I still hear it. Both unplugged no power I hear nothing.
