Hello I own the Arctics 9 but I can't use Steelseries GG software. I really follow every steps on the instruction paper but futile... Whenever I open my headset, the I can't do any changed through engine program and also sometimes it assignes random configs for me for example I usually don't use "MIC SIDE TONE" feature but sometimes it opens without my will. The Nova Pro Wireless X is meant to mainly be used on Xbox. The base station has one of its two USB ports dedicated for Xbox, meaning that port can't be used with any other devices. The second USB port can still be used with any other device like a PC, PlayStation, etc.
That's the only difference between the X and the other versions of the NPW. Because the X version has the dedicated USB port for Xbox, that means the PC/PlayStation versions of the NPW aren't compatible with Xbox. So, if you have an Xbox and PC and you want to use your headset on both planforms, get the X version. If you don't have an Xbox, don't get the X version so you have the second USB port free to use with any other device that supports USB audio

ChatMix is done through the Sonar software on the Nova line which is only available on PC. So yeah you'll have ChatMix as long as you're using Sonar. There isn't 2 separate hardware channels for Game and Chat anymore like on the previous Arctis line

I’m not sure if this is a good example, but on any headset I have sidetone CRANKED because I talk so loud and even with it maxed it isn’t making much of a difference. However with AirPods the volume of my voice isn’t much louder than if I didn’t have anything in.(with transparency on)

No, the wireless DAC will only pair with the NPW. You wouldn't be able to buy a standalone wireless DAC and pair the 7s with it. Also the 7s will only work wirelessly with the dongle that comes in the box. So you can't pair it to a third party dongle or something like the wireless base station for the Pros. If you buy a separate DAC and plug the 7s into it you'd have to choose between using the DAC with the cable or wireless through the dongle.
As far as I know the Nova 7 should do 24bit 48khz audio same as the Pro Wireless. The only features you're missing out on with the Pro Wireless are the hardware settings accessible through the base station vs having to go through software to change settings on the 7. Also the Pro Wireless does technically have better drivers for the speakers, so if you do plug them into the base station they can output 24bit 96khz high res audio whereas you wouldn't get that level of sound output if you plugged in the 7s with a wire, even to a separate DAC.
Basically, if you just want some good wireless headphones, the Nova 7 is more than sufficient. If you care more about the sound quality I would recommend the Nova Pro Wired, that way you'd be getting high res audio all the time, but you lose out on the convivence of wireless.

Yeah if you have a console that you use the headset with the base station is great for changing settings on the fly without having to go to a PC and do it through software, but realistically if you're mainly using the NPW on PC the DAC is kind of gimmicky unless you have some external desktop speakers you want to run through the DAC

Yeah, but that's kind of a personal preference thing. If you have the headset up loud enough the sound isolation with the earcups will be good enough for most things. Also some people have complaints about the earcups on the NPW not being thick enough so the ANC mics inside the cup will touch their ears and get uncomfortable. That entirely depends on the size of your ears though. Luckily I don't have that problem

the 7X dongle has a mode switch where you can swap between Xbox mode and PC/USB mode. When you're in USB mode, it works just like the PC model and chatmix should work (provided that Sonar is running)

The software chatmix is true for the entire Nova line. The X model for the 7 just adds the special chip Microsoft requires for wireless headsets to be Xbox compatible and like Lago said lets you switch between Xbox mode and generic USB mode for use on other platforms

Please add Nova Pro Wireless X OLED auto turn off feature. Nova Pro Wireless X OLED doesn't turn off even when my pc is in "sleep" state or when I'm not using this headset. Hello, I just got the arctis nova pro x wireless. I have no idea how to setup use the software. You can disable sidetone through Engine settings in GG. That'll disable it locally on the headset as well so any settings you change in Engine will be remembered across devices

Depends on your mic/headset as a starting point
A really bad mic can't be fully fixed
But you can try the podcast or whatever preset as a starting point
typically you want to reduce frequencies in the 800-2000 Hz range by several decibels , then boost 100 Hz by about 4 dB with a Q of 1

It kind of just depends on the features you want. The biggest difference between the two is that OmniPoints use magnetic sensors to detect the force of the keypress while Optipoints use a laser to detect a keypress. OmniPoints offer a wider range of actuation force, meaning they're faster and more customizable than OptiPoints. Omnis have a .2mm to 3.8mm actuation range while Optis only have a 1mm to 1.5mm actuation range. The new OmniPoint 2.0 switches on the Apex Pro Mini and Apex Pro TKL 2023 have the option to set two different actuation points on the same key for two different commands, so in a game let's say you set a .2mm actuation for walking and a 1mm actuation for running. You can also set per-key actuation so if you want your WASD to be more sensitive for movement and your number row to require more force to press for activating abilities.
The OptiPoint on the Apex 9 is a bit more limited. You can only have a single actuation force across the entire board, you can't customize each key, and you're limited to the 1mm-1.5mm actuation range. The plus to the Apex 9 though is that key switches themselves are hot-swappable so you can play around with different switch feels if you want to down the line, it's also great for user-reparability. If a key switch ends up failing in some way you can just buy another switch and stick it in without having to take your entire board apart and do soldering work to try and repair it yourself, which would void the warranty.

Sounds like you didn't setup discord sound settings properly. In the sound setting of Discord the output should be something like Steelseries Arctis 7 Certified or **Arctis 7 Chat **

I didn't know the mini existed until I had a yt review come up on my page and I only found out 2023 Pro tkls existed from somebody having a problem with one here

Marketing isn't an exact science, some people will see it and others won't, but if you saw a YouTube review of the Mini then their marketing was successful because it exposed you to the product. That's the marketing team's job. Support people don't find out about new products until about the same time the general public does

You also have to keep in mind that SteelSeries is a fraction of the size of competitors like Razor, Corsair, and Logitech with a fraction of the marketing budget. They rely more on word-of-mouth marketing than paying for ad spots
That being said, I get served SteelSeries ads almost daily on Insta and Twitter to the point of it being kind of annoying lmao

Sonar configs save automatically. As soon as you create a new one it and any changes you make stay there until you manually switch to another config or delete the custom one
