And I was wondering what the differences are between SteelSeries' Velour & Airweave ear cushions in terms of like materials, breathability, & if there are noticeable differences in terms of sound quality between the 2 types? 🤔 I know, I'm asking rather specific questions here, but I'm hoping someone can clarify this for me. 🙂

I have the Arctis 9x and it has the new ear cushions as well and I will say they are a lot more comfortable and not as "hot" meaning that I can wear this headset a lot longer more comfortably.

Do you know if your has the velour or the earweave ear cushions? 🤔 I'm trying to determine which is better & what the differences are IF I choose to swap them out once I get a SteelSeries headset. I do know that the sides of the Velours are nylon which doesn't allow them to flex as much but if I'm bot mistaken I believe they have a cooling gel. So idk. It's kind of a give and take

You're approach was abrasive and unnecessary that's all. Every headset brand has issues w headsets. They all have user-based assistance on Discord and a ticketing system on the web. It's pretty normal, that's all I'm saying

SS sells a ton of headsets, so you'll have people with issues. Yes historically the mount has had issues. Razer has had issues w Blackshark mounts as well. Just an example

Not saying you can't express frustrations, but going after the mods and then saying how SS should have support here because so many headsets break is a little over the top

I can see where your coming from but its not a defect or issue.

ive had an issue with one of my models but the issue occurred within the return/exchange policy so i got a new keyboard and it worked fine

but the ESC key flickers green when charging to indicate if its charging or at 100%.

if its an issue for you then make a support ticket and maybe they will release an option to change it in the software but it doesnt bother me, it bothers you, just a preference difference.

it goes solid green when at 100%

its just like a phone, if you leave it plugged in at 100% for hours at a time, the battery life will degrade much quicker than if you charge it to 90-100% and unplug it.

I got one this week as part of an RMA for a faulty Arctis (non-Nova) Pro Wireless. The build quality, isolation, and sound quality are a huge step up. I'm not an audiophile. The ANC is not as good as the Sony 1000XM4s or AirPods Pro, but its pretty good.

I'd say Sonar is over-rated though. It tricks windows into thinking its a 7.1 channel device, but in my experience disabling it and letting Windows handle specialization with Dobly Atmos yields far better results, at least for gaming (Halo Infinite). You give up some features not using Sonar unfortunately.

Yep. I can confirm even with having them that the hinges have extra plastic around them and the inside I believe is modified as well to fix the plaguing hinge issue. time will only tell for sure though over the next 2+ years but just looking at it I'm taking steelseries' word on it

That's called sidetone. It's a normal headset feature :)

If you have an engine compatible headset then you can turn it off there

Not that I know of, but you have quite a lot of control in the equalizer and there are some presets available from the get go

The Headset is real good, but is there any solution or thicker cushions to avoid the contact to the inner little speakers? It is barely touching the ear but its noticeable.
I would be very happy if you guys have an idea to avoid this :).

By programming I mean if you gently press a button you would crouch, and if you press it all the way down you would go prone
