The bubble that came out of his shoulder this chapter was explicitly mentioned to be the next step in Soft and Wet's abilities with Josuke straight up having the spin effects on his fingers now. He did not use the spin directly at that "kick" moment you cited. We have precedent of Tooru using rock insects when the calamity cannot come into effect, he used DeDoDoDo DeDaDaDa after all when Tooru had to approach Josuke for a change.

Josuke aimed and was not going to miss if it wasn't for the rock insect Wonder of U resorted to using, bringing harm onto Josuke. The Spin from Part 7 onward has shown to ignore "bad fortune" and shit, the Calamity wasn't going to be any different. So Wonder of U forcing it where Spin is literally counteracted would be fucking bullshit lmao. Especially when it's shoved in our faces that the Spin was their hope of defeating the calamity.

maybe im overcomplicating this but imagine if every point in 3D space had a bunch of attributes tied to it, like temperature, pressure, whatever elements are in it.

soap bubbles are like regions where those properties don't exist. it doesnt have a temperature, pressure, mass, etc. the only properties it has are that it erases things on contact and they look like soap bubbles
