The staff team has an announcement on the recent situations between a group of server members and our Head moderator Cain today. Cain's message on this incident will be stated below.

I would like to start by saying sorry for taking so long to address this professionally, my main account has been temp-locked due to mass reports and while we were hoping for my main to be recovered before giving this statement it seems that isn't going to be happening.

I apologize for my actions. I am the type of person who can fall for bait laid out for me very easily, and a few nights ago I got too heated and fell for said bait, saying many things easily taken out of context. These statements have done nothing but cause drama and problems for the users and staff of this server, completely disgracing the point of our community. So again, I want to apologize to everyone reading this for the trouble my childishness has caused.

The statements going around of me being a pedophile are unequivocally false. Libel spread around by a group that has a long-standing history of forming private servers with the goals of getting me fired from this server. They found bait they knew I would fall for, used my frustrated responses to fake a story of me being a pedophile, and then mass reported my account to prevent me from defending myself while they spread this story to any ear that could hear.

Going further I promise to be more wary of what I post and how I interact with others on this server. After a 2 week break to let the staff team handle the situation I intend to return and continue moderating the community I have enjoyed being apart of this last 6 years

As the owner, and as a part of the staff crew in our server, I will be announcing a two updates/rule enforcements regarding our server.

1. False accusations and harassments against Cain, more importantly, against anyone in the server will not be tolerated.
   We will not be punishing anyone that is involved in this incident right now, but anyone that tries to put salt on injury after this announcement, will be punished via Rule 1 of our server.
   As for Cain, he will be paused on moderation for two weeks. He will not receive mod permissions on the alt account and his main account will be taken off the head mod role until this time period ends. I hope we could maintain a community not on harming each other, but enjoying the core of our community, which is enjoying the series, not be split and be filled with toxicity. We apologize for causing this trouble, but we need everyone's help to make this server a friendly place for every fan.

2. Rose, our current moderator, will be promoted to head moderator, to fill in the empty space of our current Head Mod position.
   Daoud, our previous head mod has resigned a week ago to focus on his academic studies, and Rose, as a moderator with high reputation has been promoted to fill in the spot.
   Rose also contributed greatly as someone having access to the trouble and standpoint on both sides, and they have offered great help from a middleman standpoint in this incident. Please give a warm welcome to them for the position!

To elaborate a little bit on @small wing's new /ping mod command, it serves as a way to send an anonymous ping to a random online moderation. This means that when you use it, a ping will be sent out anonymously to everyone but us mods. The bot picks from the pool of mods who have their status set to Online, meaning any mod who is offline, idle, or in Do Not Disturb will not get pinged by it. Using the command is simple and it holds your hand along the way.

Lucky number 7! Never would I have thought that this place would be standing this long, I used to think the server was going to fall out of relevancy during the wait for that part 5 anime announcement lmao. It's been a spectacular set of years for our ever-changing community! The JoJoLands has hit the ground running with Araki proving he still has a knack for making really mundane things way too fun to read about, Steel Ball Run is slowly being cooked up by David Productions ( Part 7 anime for year 7 ????????), and our (not so) little community has grown to even greater heights than ever before!

I want to give a big thank you to our staff and everything they do, we've absolutely been stretching y'all thin, so I want to thank you for all your efforts and promise that we'll work hard this year on lightening the load for everyone (staff and community included) this year.

Another big thank you to our Fan Projects! Hi! There's a few news and updates to be announced for the server!

1. New mods!

New mods in training and helpers have joined our team in the last few days as some of you may have noticed, give a warm welcome to the new faces!

@noble scaffold is also promoted to head moderator for their huge support in keeping this server well!

2. Level roles major change

as the server has reached the limit of roles available for a server, we have been deleting older season roles for new seasons to stock in, but this is going to change.
With the attachment below showing a brief change of what will happen to previous level roles, we will be removing detailed levels and sorting them to two main categories: attendant and actives.
For users that owns level 1 to level 20 role for the season, you will be grouped inside the attendant role for said season,
And for users that owns level 20+ roles, you will be grouped inside the actives roles instead.
We(more like me) are also thinking about keeping the highest level role for each season from deletion, let me know your thoughts on keeping it or not.
For instance: if you have reached level 35 in season 6, while you've only been level 20 in season 7, you will get the season 6 active role and season 7 attendant role respectively.

In light of this major change, you will be given one week to save your roles in forms of screenshot, text, anything you like, until the roles getting deleted. The roles will be slowly removed from the server starting from <t:1722333600>.

3. Server Reset pre-announcement

Alongside with the roles getting changed up, Server Reset will most likely happen on early August, with the next theme being Stardust Crusaders, in order to commemorate our new server faces via the pfp and banner competition winners both drew jotaro for their submission. Let's thank @frigid verge and @tardy portal for the new profile and banner!

Hello everyone, it's been long overdue but it's finally time for the long awaited level reset. These usually run for 6 months but to catch up on lost time this season will likely run through to July to try and put us back on schedule rather than cutting this season short. As usual, all xp and levels will be reset, and we will be changing the specific level roles for this season into the two categories setup such as what has been done for previous seasons, so if you would like to make a note of the specific role you achieved we will give you a few days to do so.

Moreso, we would like to announce the promotion of the current Mod in Training staff to Moderators, we have noticed good work from all our MiTs and are happy to fully welcome them onto the team, we hope you all welcome them as well. Here's a current list of the promoted staff:

I joined the mod team 9 months ago and have been able to experience first hand how much effort goes into keeping this place running. We have temporarily turned off the leveling system as this issue is causing repeated resets, thus having C-Moon constantly send Level 1 message pings whenever achieved.

For the meantime, there will be no leveling but you do keep your highest role for this season, and this includes any permissions granted with that role.

We will reactivate the system once this issue has been cleared up.

<@&861080807719436319> we have re-enabled levelling for now again, but according to bot developers, the current xp data is rolled back to a month ago, which means members that talked alot this month or even just joined this month might have a significant loss in xp data for now.

We are thinking about setting up a system to compensate the loss of XP if the bot fails to restore latest data (we won't be compensating immediately as bot developers might be able to fix it back to latest data, needs further review) and to switch into a different levelling bot as a whole, which may lead to early reset happening again this year, or some sort of overhaul in terms of the system.

In any way, please wait for further news 😔

as usual you only gain xp once per minute so spamming is not gonna help you level up faster and the #bot-commands and #music-bot-requests are exempt from getting xp you wont gain any from texting in there

With recent discourse of unclear rules against AI usage in our server, we have updated our rules and added a new rule, 5-1 to ban any AI generated image and text from our server, and they will be strictly reviewed on creative channels.

Our previous rules against AI were unclear, and were only channel wide rules, but after discussion we decided to expand the ruleset into a server wide ban.

We respect human creativity and we would like to provide a healthy environment for aspiring artists and creators in our server to share their work without fear.

This rule will change #jojo-ocs related rules the most. We previously allowed image generation via AI for stand/character ocs as long as the stand concept itself is your original, but we will no longer allow this in the channel as the new rule applies.

Text below is the new rules added.

5-1. AI images/text will be kept out of the server.

• Generative AI prompted images, as well as AI prompted text results are not allowed in the server. Offenses of this rule happening in creative works related channels, such as #your-works and #jojo-ocs will be strictly watched and removed from the channel. This does not imply non creative channels are free to post AI imagery/text.
