basically in ps . Join-Path ([Runtime.InteropServices.RuntimeEnvironment]::GetRuntimeDirectory()) '' will list the paths to the assemblies it uses. Inside each of those is an ngen.exe, which stands for native (image) generator (it's an mf compiler but windows too cool)

so instead of '' you would put ngen.exe so it'll be path/to/assembly/ngen.exe and then call update for each one and it'll recompile each one for your current windows ver. may help

final command would be . (Join-Path ([Runtime.InteropServices.RuntimeEnvironment]::GetRuntimeDirectory()) ngen.exe) update and wham bam every assembly (in my case i only have one but you might have more) will be recomped for your OS

my guess is that you have old images and windows is doing translation or smth

or you may just have to uninstall old af .NET frameworks :D
