try with spigot see if it does it there too

So I tested all directions

Gold - NORTH: All work
Lapis - EAST: 1st one works
Purple Clay - SOUTH: 1st one works
Emerald - WEST: 1st and 2nd ones work

So the issue is not directional. It is just with some commands. Made them all have the same set of commands and now all directions work

So, if it's a "give" command, even if it runs properly, it won't activate the next command block IF you use @p as the selector. IF you use * then it works and the command block after it is activated
