Yeah my 3 step plan to not hating everything about my printer is as follows, and works great. No problems so far:
- Buy a lazer printer. This is by far the most important step
- Only use my macbook to print things via airprint. Much nicer.
- Connect the printer to a separate 2.4ghz "IoT" SSID I set up
3rd point is pretty important too cause most IoT devices have shit 2.4ghz - only wifi chips (or the 5ghz is very bad) and the last thing you want it to be doing is to attempt switching
