Basically what I'm doing is a very crude and simple script to let me store configuration publicly in git, then replace the sensitive information placeholders with real data, let server use this config, and then package it back, file-language agnostic.
So there's a lot of file checking and many many git commands (and other).
I'll be the only person realistically using it, so I can install whatever tbh. Was thinking about writing it in Rust, but feels like overkill. Python doesn't have a nice and easy way to handle subprocesses. And I use pipes heavily here.

My classes are usually small - medium sized since they're quite simple. Haven't had a chance to write a large piece of software yet

Never really considered amount of parameters in a method or class until recently. People think like apparently 3-4 parameters is a lot. Then I'm like uhhhhhh. A good amount of my constructors end having 3-4 parameters
