Solid uses babel to find where you call their hooks to set up state (just like in React) and tracks where that state is used then compiles that down to calls to a tiny helper bit of runtime to generate the DOM
Advantage is that because it uses Babel you can still use TypeScript and because it still has a runtime library it can share code between components so after you have more than like a dozen on a page it's smaller than Svelte would be
Oh and since it isn't a new language your IDE doesn't yell at you for having useless labels 😛

There's flag in #paper-help to disable this protection, but expect that some chunks might loose data.
