shen is also generally known to be troublesome due to the allocation rate of MC but not really looked into why technically
These modern collectors are more designed for large heaps and "sane" allocation rates, which MC really doesn't do too well
me and amar had a bit of discussion on the modern collectors a while back, generally it's a case of finding the right balance, many people don't really know the horrors of diagnosing GC related stuff ontop of the fact that at least ZGC is known to lie by omission about it's stalls to the GC bean, unless you're intending to throw a ton of memory at these collectors, they're generally not all that enticing in production due to MCs stupid allocation rate and the whole "one thread" thing

A counterpoint from Michael's notes: If you're selling things then you want to be careful about the things you're selling. Few servers get blacklisted or shutdown but if you're straying very far from being "inline" with the EULA then people might get grumpy about it and report you.
Better to stay closer to the EULA than to do things like sell op and crazy shit.
