A. You should probably read the ReadMe for it.
B. You use spells by having Adrenaline available
C. HP was made assuming the player was using QoL, even though it's not considered "required". QoL skips the Dreamer cutscenes

it's a Swapper skin, so you install it differently from a regular CK skin. To install it, you place the folders that are inside of the "Palace of Fools" folder either into your Swap folder, it into the Swap folder of a skin you want to have it linked to.

I'm not sure how well this will run on lower end machines. I have pretty good specs, and get noticeable lag during play in the colosseum.

this skin is the biggest skin like this right now, and as such has kinda pushed Custom Knight to some limits. In addition to the lag, there may be some other visual bugs. These have been reported, and a future build of CK will hopefully be able to address both of these issues.

Something like the "new" sign might be easier to maintain but even then, how long is something considered new? Doc history is only available if you are an owner or an editor unfortunately. When I started the list in a Google doc I mainly chose for ease of personal use way before I planned on sharing it beyond my own community or adding the sprite strips. I'm not completely ruling out some kind of tag but it's not high on my priority list since it's something that would require ongoing maintenance & I already have like 7 pages of to-do notes on my working doc.

- monetary incentive that makes the brain consider it a task that must be works on

You can always play around with starting a skin for something you want to see, and go in knowing that you don't have to complete it
Like, if you feel good while working on it, then you keep going, and if not, then stop
Also, I might do another Art Stream evening soon, to finish up the Doodle Boss in working on, and Minish will probably keep working on the skin that they're doing

It's a challenge skin that was made public but there was no Baidu link that I could find & I have no idea how the Groups that are frequently mentioned are accessed. (I think the Groups appear to be on their Q or QQ site? Going by Google translate. If we ever get anyone who figures out how to join those we'd get a lot more skins)

I saw one, but it says in the description it requires a new game, but I don’t want to lose my progress (around 10 hours in). I mean I understand the reason for the charm system, however I don’t understand why the compass or money magnet require nothes, because they don’t make you stronger but just make playing the game more fun.

I was assuming sine things in the game would be strange then, like the charm description still saying something about notches, but no, the description that it requires notches was completely removed and everything is working as it should do.

so, I'm playing with mods because fun :3
I'm honestly curious, two of my favorite concepts are of 1. something like Addditional Maps actually putting a Cornifer NPC there, with special dialogue, based on a Reddit post talking about how since you find him asleep after getting all the Hallownest maps, they were theorizing that he could 'attune' to these places in the dream realm through his love of exploring, so you can encounter him there
the second concept is of being able to have Kingsoul and Carefree Melody as well as Voidheart and Grimmchild
I know nothing about modding, I'm just genuinely curious. These two things seem obvious to me, particuarly the latter, why aren't there any mods for them? Is it difficult to add new NPCs and stuff?

Mod Installer 2 is the old version of Scarab, that was for modding 1.4.3.2
Scarab is the new version of Mod Installer 2, and is for modding the current patch of the game

The gate doesn't close in Randomizer. But if you did softlock, then you can just warp out with Benchwarp

Imo, if an artist wants to sell a skin, then that's fine. Skins aren't exactly "free" to create, as they cost a lot of time, and people gotta make money somehow 
That being said, it'd be cool if people went with like, a paid-early access, with a free final release, kinda thing.
Let people use a skin while it's being made by paying for it (like a Patreon or sth), then maybe keep it exclusive for a month, then publically release it

Got the HUD lookin' schlick and finally got around to the dash animation.
Super happy with this so far.
I'm thinking I'll continue with the Ravali's Gale theme and make Crystal Dash a burst of air with him flying at an angle while holding a paraglider.
