I'll see if I run across that one, I haven't seen it yet but it looks really cool - searching is kind of difficult because of translations & also just straight up the volume of HK content on bilibili. A lot of what I've found is just from the videos recommended on the side of other skin vids, or searching the channel of people that uploaded a skin to see if they have others.

I think the best approach for the massive ones - Nightmare's Heart, for example - would be to make it similar to the Radiance fight, in that it doesn't deal contact damage and just bullet hells your ass

It's an interesting idea

Damage would be dealt to the Heart directly

To make it have something similar to Radiance's teleporting, so that its not just a completely static target, you can try to have separate chunks have their eyes light up and only when the eyes are lit you can damage that chunk

New capabilities in map mod s (mapping transitions) are awesome for room randomizer runs, but I feel like I must be doing something wrong. It looks like it's possible to map routes semi-automatically, but I end up spending a lot of time trying to search for rooms and writing things down with pen and paper...help?

When you hover over a room on the map, it will highlight. If you Press on that, it'll generate the route at the top to get to that press

The mouse pointer doesn't hover over the map for me and using movement keys works, but it's a bit clunky. I've tried the same button I use for selecting other things in inventory, but all I can see are the immediate transitions from any given room when it's highlighted.

I've remapped the keyboard if that matters...?

Default button on controller is (A) for Xbox or (X) for PS (I'm guessing)
For keyboard default is Enter

If you're not seeing a route show up, it could be due to:

• Room is out of logic (red)
• Including benchwarp is not on (toggle with CTRL-B). Of course, if that setting is not enabled, you will only see routes from your current room, and there may be none

I agree it is a bit clunky, but there isn't any other easy way to interact with the map given that mouse input is disabled in the inventory (but maybe this behaviour could be overriden somehow)

I don't have hollow knight on pc, nor do I have any sort of knowledge on modding, so riddle me this: how much can you modify in the game, surely sprites and some mechanics, but what surprised me is the fan made boss fights, they're all pretty good, (one of my favorites being the void vessel) but...is this the limit on modded boss fights? just a recolor and faster moves with the occasional new attack? (Now let me reiterate, I love what the fandom was able to with what they were given, it all looks great, i'm just a bit curious is all), but what about..."Entirely new bosses"? correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't all you have to do is draw the attacks, put in the hurt and hit boxes, and draw the stagger animation and stuff? keep in mind I don't know how this all works, but shouldn't this be possible? or is it just really time consuming? (Also if this does exist and I haven't seen it, I apologized for my ignorance)

I'm trying to figure out what transitions I've discovered cause my memory is godawful but I can't interpret the destination of
TRANSITION --- {Crossroads_50[right1]} --> {Ruins2_04[left2]}

obviously crossroads is self explanatory. the 2_04 and _50 are room numbers etc but I can't figure out what Ruins means
