How to use Scarab in Microsoft Store
🔹 First enter the Xbox app and move your mouse over Hollow Knight on the left bar.
🔹 Click the three points then click "Manage".
🔹 Go to the "Files" tab and select "Browse...".
🔹 Click Hollow Knight then Content, click the path bar and copy it.
🔸Run Scarab as admin and when it asks you for the path paste what copied before.

Alternate Method:
🔹 Click on your profile then "Settings"
🔹 Go to "General" tab and select "CHANGE FOLDER"
🔹 Look for a folder where you want to install the game (Preferably inside a folder in your desktop).
🔸 Copy the path bar, then run Scarab as Administrator and when it asks you for the path, paste what copied before.

Scarab path folder needs to have Hollow Knight_Data folder inside

I turned on the mod and the butterflies on the main menu turned into pink squares, Ogrims hideout thing in Godhome is all one big pink texture, and none of the statues of the 4 (not including Ogrim) great knights have dream particles

I play on Mac Os (dont know which version but we’ve had it since 2013) It runs mods pretty well

Can anyone explain what's going on here? I'm currently trying to play hollow knight on xcloud on Android using a ds4 controller. It worked fine before, but now the circle button (for focus/cast) and the r1 button (for quick cast) does nothing in-game. These buttons function in the menus, but not in the game. And this wasn't happening before. This doesn't happen for any other game on xcloud. I even tried playing the unofficial android port, and same thing. I don't even know how this problem could arise?

This is a known issue, and Custom Knight is not considered compatible with HP.
Here's steps that sometimes work for people (but if they don't, then you'll just need to play with the default skin):

• Uninstall/Disable Hollow Point
• Launch the game, and Apply the skin in the Main Menu.
• Open the desired Save File, pause and Apply the skin in the Mods Menu.
• Save and Quit, then close the game.

Save Files

The save files for Hollow Knight are shared between all installs of the game, and are easily interacted with.

• What do the save files looks like?

  • Hollow Knight save files are in the form of user#.dat, where # is the save slot for the file..
  • You can take a file named user3.dat and rename it to user1.dat to set it to your first save slot.
  • You can keep a copy of all of your save files by copy and pasting them into a different folder on your computer.

• Reverting Backup files

  • You have save file backups that are called user#.dat.bak#, where the first # is the save slot, and the second # is the backup number. Typically speaking, you will have your last three backups.
  • You can set a backup to be the real file by deleting the main file, and then removing the .bak# part of the backup file.

• Modded save files

  • If you are using mods, a modded save may also have a user#.modded.json (and similarly named backup). Both this file and the user#.dat are part of the save.

• Where are the files?

  • On windows, the default path for Save Files is %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Team Cherry\Hollow Knight\
  • For other operating systems, type ?tag saves into chat.

• I need a specific type of save file

Installers don't really know the size of mods.
You can click the "Repo" button though, which takes you to GitHub, and then go to the "Releases" section, and you'll be able to see the size of the Release

Well on my first attempt its pretty apparent its very easy to get soul so spells are good for when Isma is just across the arena with tons of ads in between you and here

Its also really useful to tap a shade soul to stay in the air a bit longer to dodge vines

And if you get behind her early in one of the vine attacks you can do a ton of damage because she's still and open

||there's a void charm you can get in the abyss, after a platforming challenge where you would usually find the lore entry. it's basically fury of the fallen except 10x better, so stack it with strength and fury and overcharm it with quick slash. you're able to absolutely melt his health once you get to 1 mask||

iirc little grimm comes with a slightly different folder structure, the skin itself is one folder too deep when you download it so you have to take it out to place it directly into the skins folder, so it can look like this:
