Weve talked about it before. We dont know everything about it, but I personally think its a little less punishing than HK. At least in terms of punishing exploration.

I know everyone is like "WAH MY ROSARIES!" but its not like fighting and grinding is the only way to get them. You will have quests, and probably the ability to sell things if you need the quick cash.
So if you go exploring and die somewhere you werent ready for, you can just cut your loses.

Because of the Pandemic pushing several major releases to the same year, and major games not usually wanting to launch too close, it might be impossible or nearly impossible to find a launch window where Silksong can stand out from the crowd.

i fucking hate swamp/poison areas so much not just mechanically but also aesthetically

kinda why Fungals is my least favorite area, its just so bland. Maybe this doesnt extend to a lot of areas but i have a feeling i might not dig Coral Reefs that much in SS compared to the big city/structured stuff like the Citadel because i vibe more to ruined areas vs to jungles/wild areas

Yea I can agree that the city areas are more interesting. However, I think it is because usually we see very little large structures in the game( areas such as fungal). Maybe I'm wrong, but it's certian that something about these more structured areas catch my eye.

Yea I think maybe it's because fungal is mainly meant to be a gateway towards the city as well as other late game areas( fog Canyon and deepness). It is easily noticible hat the player is encouraged to go to the city. This is done by both hornet teasing the palyer and quirrle telling the knight to go to the city to upgrade his nail after dying to the Lord's. In the end though it is just my opinion and pretty hard to know the exact reasoning.
