It isn't really something I'm happy with if I compare it to today's market of similarly priced games, but the game didn't disappoint me in terms of what it delivered specifically as a Metroid fan

Without spoiling the game in here, not really possible. Can say that I was satisfied with the conclusion to the story I was waiting for and the gameplay. But like I said earlier, I've been playing Metroid games for over 20 years as well, and just disagree with your take here.

Also, renown doesn't have anything to do with it, and I'm not disagreeing that the game is short for $60 lol. I'm just saying I was happy with what they delivered as a fan.

Don't forget that Leth said he still hadn't played silksong by this year's June and that we could theorize about what that means. That coupled with the Geoff Keighley's comment at e3 I'd say it's quite improbable that SS would be finished by the end of this year
