I think it depends, because HK starts when the screen is loaded (when you fall). It's kind of coded within the livesplit method that remove load times. So I guess it'd be probably when the screen of hornet falling is loaded

while in SS, you can control of Hornet only after the bind action, so there's not much reason to start the timer before that imo

RNG isn't all the 'luck' you know, frames being off-sync with your input on frame-perfect inputs is also an issue. Celeste does have a buffer, yet if you need to do inputs within the window of the buffer then effectively the buffer is just as long as your window to shift inputs, which i imagine can be 2 or 3 frames.

overall RNG is overvalued in luck, fickleness rested on chaos theory is just a common trait.

I'm looking to be a playtester for Silksong. Here's my resume

1: I'm a professional video game addict.
This means that I spend more time than I should playing video games and with Silksong it would be no different.I'd play that game and only get off it to sleep and have meals.

2:I wouldn't need to be paid.
If I was presented the opportunity I would buy the demo of the game. Not kidding. Also with most playtesters they'd look for pay but in my situation I'd play and report any bugs to TC

3:I'm extremely desperate for Silksong information.
If I was given the oppurtunity to playtest Silksong my first reaction would be to take it and immediately download and start playing the game. I would take a single piece of news as someone who is at the point of extreme dehydration would be after getting water.

It would feel pretty unbalanced if an enemy hit u and u died with over half of ur hp

It also would make the first mask upgrade u got irrelevant to that enemy since u would die in 2 hits either way
