if a fetch quest adds nothing new to the game other than a %chance drop from certain enemies that will only ever be used to complete and are only ever active during the quest, then it's useless. If those items that have their drop chance activated by the quest can be used by the npc offering the quest to make you a consumable or something every X drops after completing the quest, that's a step in the right direction. If the fetch quest involves a unique area, item, or enemies, then it's also ok cuz it's either fresh gameplay or fresh art and lore

There's one thing I want for Silksong.

I want you to be able to go anywhere whenever you want, but going there will be really hard.

Like in the og you should be able to go do mantis claw before cloak, but it'll be more difficult if you didn't have mothwing.

Or go do POP whenever you want but it'll be hell and ashes.

Would be fun for challenge runners and speedrunners too. The best path possible.

Think about it, I went into Hollowknight blind. A family member sent me the game since they heard I had recently purchased a switch. I decided to play it. I got hooked. I got on the discord, watched the theories, beat the game, played some steal soul. And you know what? It is my favorite or second favorite game of all time. Now it is nice to get a sneak peak of Silksong, no doubt about it. But I honestly don't want a lot more than that. Team Cherry are safeguarding their new project for people to discover the world as they play. And i'm alright with that (this is a continuation to my last message which is now slightly buried)
