I'd like to make an educated guess and say that TC has not had a proper plan on how to deliver news for SS or what to talk about.

Which would be a logical explanation for the beginning of the SS "era". Starting with very close-together news periods between the trailer, mini update, and E3, before finally almost freezing up entirely for 6 months to Christmas.

Yeah, they mostly focus on the game development. They just give us anything when it comes to news, only pattern is the time gap between announcements

Basically, I am thinking that TC got into this project without not only a good prediction of how long it would take to develop SS, but without a good timeline of how they will "feed" the players in the meantime.

It essentially feels nowadays as they are trying to carefully determine when to release anything, taking as long as possible while also not taking so long to keep the content that can be revealed available, while also matching with the development stages.

If we go over August without news, I'm honestly going to settle on the next patch of news being release-related, but who knows.

I agree to this all. The scope of silksong has increased way beyond what they had expected, causing them to focus more on the workload than news + announcements

Hence why they let Leth handle riddles and EDGE handle the magazine (serving as the announcement for December/January)

I said this in Jan and it appears I was wrong, but I think most certainly by now the development of Silksong must be most strictly focused on:

• Play testing from TC themselves, just to see if the world works as it should
• Bug Fixing
• Languages/Translating
• Polishing/balancing, either as they play test or as they notice anything wrong.

Obviously these can all take a really long time depending on the scope of the game, Leth himself has said IF Silksong is on this stage, it could even take up to months or less, anything is possible.

But I do think it would take some time, considering they'd probably have to replay the game numerous times to try to make the gameplay as natural as possible

Obviously they have the help from people like Graig, so the work is probably split between them and play testers

Ads and commercials are expensive and with AAA companies can be managed by its own Marketing and advertising team companies like TC only have themselves and their Marketing person if they have one like Leth

she almost certainly has a dash ability but the shade cloak was pretty imortant for most of the later bosses in HK so i expect that we will see some sort of invisibility frame movement. if not that will make the game much harder
