Hello, i got told i could get some help here from #hk-help, For the record before i start explaining my problem, i have the game bought on steam, and i have had it bought for quite a long time. I have a problem with the || traitor lord achievement, it doesnt appear neither ingame nor on steam. i Have beaten the boss 3 times now, with cloth and without, on 3 seperate save files. Its the only achievement i cant obtain in the game. For details on my game, my only mod is custom knight, and before buying the game on steam, i had pirated it and played it for about 4 hours || Any ideas or tips?

pirated versions can be very unestable afaik, And you may not be able to get the achievement normally

Yeah, that's why I'm confused. Link459 said Lightbringer is for 1.5, but the ModInstaller that the mod links to and uses is for 1.4.3.2. That doesn't add up in my book, but I'm happy to be proven wrong!

@novel yew the issue is that when I try to load the 1.4.5.2 version of the installer, since that’s the version of hollow knight that runs on my MacBook, I get a finder notification that says “this application requires MacOS 1.13 to run, but you’re on MacOS 1.12.6”

you're probably installing a 1.4 mod for 1.5, additionally, in 1.5 you need folders in your mods folder that pertain to the mod itself

Oh, awesome. Child of Light replaces Vengeful Spirit with a Radiant Orb that homes in on the nearest enemy. Correction: It appears and then sort-of does it's own thing. I have no idea how it tracks and goes after enemies. It might home in on an enemy, or it might go in completely the opposite direction, or it might do nothing at all.

then, there should be no further folders to go into.

Go to your mods folder, and delete the CharmMod folder inside. Then, install Fyrenest. Fyrenest is the new name of CharmMod, and this problem has been fixed.

hi, I'm trying to mod the game and I've downloaded scarab, and figured all of that stuff out. I'm on gamepass, version 5.80.11835.0, and when in scarab I try to download a mod it says "when installing or uninstalling mod an exception occured!" I've got the right path as well, made sure to check.

Modded files potentially use two different files, user#.dat and user#.modded.json

Some mods effects affect the "vanilla" save, and others affect the "modded" save.

So if you're backing up both, then restoring both to the same place, then it'll be the same, yes

Once you’re in the menu where you can install mods, click the Enable API button at the top right and click Install on any mods you want. Make sure to wait a bit when clicking these since some take a bug to download
