If it's crashing, then it most likely doesn't have permission to move it. You might have to run it as admin-
Or just open the mods folder again and drag and drop the Debug folder into Disabled (or delete the debug folder)

Guys can you please help me. Sometimes rando mod suggests I can get several checks, but I bet they are impossible. Like now this vessel fragment. I have only monarch wings, downslash, upslash, vengeful spirit and dive. I think it is really impossible. It is just a huge wall that I cant get through on the left. Shade skip is not possible, shade spawning too far from it on the right. Am I wrong or mod is bugged somehow?..

im not sure if this is the channel to ask this but does anyone have any idea where your switch save files are located? im trying to convert my pc save to my switch and have no clue where my HK save is on my switch

on your switch hard drive

saves are called userX.dat (X=save slot)

if you're going from pc to switch, you also have to change the encoding

and set the save location on your switch to an SD card that you plug in

Or I guess copy the files internally on the switch, if that's possible

hey, i had a question about updates and patches and stuff. not sure if this is the right channel, but it has to do with mods and files a bit
basically my hollow knight still runs on patch 1.4.3.2, and i wanted to update it to current patch 1.5, but it is not updating
i have hollow knight on steam on an intel pc(64 bit), and i play with both keyboard and controller. I have done the verify file integrity thing on steam multiple times, and it says it is normal. currently i have no mods installed. there is no option to manually update on the properties page, and im not sure if im just being stupid or if there is some kind of file issue.

Hello everyone. I was trying to play HKMP with ItemSync today. It has been working just fine for months, but when I updated to the newest version, it stopped working. When I hit "Launch ItemSync" it says there is an error and to check ModLog.txt . I did that and I found this error "[INFO]:[ItemSyncMod] - System.MissingFieldException: Field 'RandomizerCore.RandoContext.Vanilla' not found." Anyone know a fix?

Guys got a question about playing/modding on different versions. Atm im playing on last version and use scarab for my mods. Lets say for example i want to try AnyRad mod (which is, if im not wrong, only available on 1.4). So to do that i go in steam menu and set my game in "Beta" to 1.4 right? But thats now that im not sure how things work. Do i have to disable all mods on scarab and then use ModInstaller to get the 1.4 mods ? How all that work exactly if you want to mod 2 versions of the game? Dont want to brake things by having mods starting on the wrong game version etc.. I hope i'm understandable ^^. Im pretty new to HK modding and for the moment i just modded 1.5 and everything is working great

you need to downgrade versions, Go to steam, right click hollow knight > properties > betas > seletct 1.4 > wait for install > try mod again

Scarab wouldn't do that, it probably just doesn't recognize the mods you have installed and shows them as not installed

midway through a randomiser playthrough the randomapmodS stopped working. it isnt showing in bottom left of menu but it and all needed mods are all installed and enabled. the only thing i changed was that i tried to install new mods and i suspected additionalmapmod may have affected it but disabling it has not restored my map or had the mapmods options return. Hello! Me and my friends ran into quite a problem when trying to connect to a server with the multiplayer mod and Hamachi.

Everyone has bought the game from Steam and is on the latest version. We are all using the current mod installer (Scarab) and the game is working normally.

The thing is, we are only able to connect to a server if we host one, and as far as I'm aware it's impossible to have more than 1 server host.

We have typed the IP and port (26950) but if we try to connect for some reason in the HKMP menu the IP gets changed to ||127.0.0.1||.

We are trying to connect to a new save file and we're all currently in Dirtmouth.

Does any of you have any idea what we might be doing wrong? Any help is appreciated.

I havent used hamachi or even ported a server really, but you can try using zerotier too, its a alternative and people seem to get it working

If you try and nothing is still happenning you can also use public servers

Sorry if there’s a super easy solution;;; but I’m trying to mod Hk for the first time? I got scarab since I’m on patch 1.5 and everything’s working until I download custom knight? I went through the checklist provided to make sure everything was alright there (satchel, the file order, etc), but whenever I get into the game and try to select a skin, it freezes when I try to leave the pause menu

I am having the same issue with it. After updating Rando 4 ( other dependencies too ) and Randomizer Map S in Scarab. When I load up the current Item + Area Rando, the Map is blank except for the Area names. Double checked the in game settings for Randomizer Map S and everything appears to be normal. Just making sure I didn't turn something off by mistake.

did you give yourself the maps with ctrl+M

or by pressing the menu button while paused

also, if you're trying to use rando 4 with an older version save of rando 4, things will probably break since the code is different. try it out on a new save

Just tested it out and it works. Didn't occur to me that updating the Rando 4 Mod would break older save files but that makes prefect sense. Noted for future updates. Thanks!

Go to steam verify game integrity and load the game and look in the bottom left title screen

Verify on Steam:

Launch Steam.
From the Library section, right-click on hollow knight and select "Properties" from the menu.
Select the "LOCAL FILES" tab and click the "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES..." button.
Steam will verify the game files.
Verify on GOG Galaxy:

Launch GOG Galaxy
From the Library section, click on Hollow knight.
Click the "More" drop down.
Hover the mouse over "Manage Installation".
Click "Verify / Repair".
Confirm the request by clicking "VERIFY GAME" in the pop up.
GOG Galaxy will verify the game files.

the dreamnailable switches from godseeker+ (specifically p5 teleport and grey prince toggle) don't appear and don't work, any idea as to why this is happening? i've tried enabling and disabling the setting both ingame and in the files, ive tried restarting the game multiple times, and i've tried disabling most other mods, but nothing works
