Ive got a hollow knight mod installer and it has asked me for the location of hollow knight when I gave it that it said hollow knight needs to be updated to the newest patch and it doesn't have any updates on steam so im not Shure what to do.

• close your game and Scarab

• make sure that you extracted Scarab from the .zip it was originally in, and that you moved the new folder (containing 4 files) out of your Downloads folder.

• When the script is done, right click Scarab.exe and select "run as administrator", and then click to reinstall the mods you want. Make sure each mod finishes before you click another.

You can change what pools of items things shuffle with. So for example, if you only changed Charms from -1 to 1, then all checks that were originally charms, will still be charms, but would be shuffled with the other charms exclusively.
If you also made Totems 1, then all Charm and Totems would exclusively mix together, so a totem location would either have a charm or a totem.

hollowpoint makes changes to the sprite and customknight doesn't account for hollowpoint, so there's a conflict, you can remove either or and it should fix the problem

Hello, my friend and I have followed the pinned step by steps to be able to play multiplayer and be able to have items synced (if they pick up an item I get it to and vice-versa). We are using Scarab and ZeroTier. We entered the same seed, same room name, and made sure our hashes were the same. Last week we played together and we were able to sync grubs and all items. Last night, we tried making a new save (we wanted to start over) and found that we could not share grub counts and some items like "Jodi's Blessing" are showing for them but not for me. When I try hosting - I can see the items but they cannot now. We were able to previously, so I am wondering if the recent update to the Scarab mods may have something to do with it? We tried uninstalling and reinstalling the mods, and we made sure everything was up to date. It did not work last night. We could sync other items but not grubs or Jodi Blessings.

Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you so much.

That happens when you exit the menu not clicking the "Back" button, and use B or Esc instead. There's a workaround mod to fix that

hi, I've been trying to get the mapping tools working for my room rando, however my mac tells me that the randomisertracker.exe program that im pretty sure im meant to run only works with windows? Is there a work around/mapping tool that works for mac, or am i doing something else wrong?

Hey, can someone help me out with something? I was playing multiplayer with a friend of mine earlier today and I had Custom Knight on so I could use a skin while playing, and when I disconnected from the server Custom Knight just stopped working altogether. The game still shows that it's working in the top left corner, but when I go into the mods menu Custom Knight just isn't there. I've tried reinstalling Custom Knight and reinstalling Scarab, only thing I haven't tried is reinstalling Hollow Knight itself. Thanks in advance!

Huh, after i downloaded custom knight all of the game's bgs disappeared, does anyone know the solution for it? (haven't seen anyone actually respond to this question (or at least haven't found in the search bar)

Yea, sorry I don't know. I've never really followed the mapping tools or rando stuff too closely. Perhaps ask in #randomizer or in the randomizer channels in the speedrunning server (in the pins of #randomizer/#speedrunning), also may want to look through rando announcments there for any trackers

@random fox If you're on 1.5, Randomizer Map S has a built-in feature for room rando. If you want to use an external program, https://github.com/RanDumSocks/HKAutoTrackerElectron/releases/tag/v1.3.3 is up to date but I'm not sure if it works for mac.

Well yeah, it's a big ass sprite sheet. It's gonna take a while but unless the only thing you want is a different colored cloak then there's not really a better way. Side note: if you do want a different colored cloak, there's some premade ones ready so you don't have to do that part of the reskin

Randomizer 3 requires Vasi, Mod Common, Benchwarp, and Qol, Enemy Rando requires Mod Common, make sure you have those

1. You should be on 1.4.3.2 (You just said you were so I'll assume you still are)
2. Move the installer to your desktop
3. Run the installer as administrator
4. Make sure the game is closed while running the mod installer

Since the ModdingApi replaces a file in the game, it’s detecting that the file isn’t modded, therefore is “out of date”

Do the same to any mod to update it if it’s outdated

otherwise, all asset files are extracted and pinned in #art-discussion

the original ones are in unity asset files. after you change the sprite sheets, you'd just use customknight to load them in your game

what happened was I was on a new playthrough and you know the dreamer cutscene on the resting grounds where you get blocked y a white barrier?

and the 3 of them teleport consecutively?

when the first one teleported the game froze and i waited for like 5 minutes so I had to close it

when i tried to open it again, upon launching the game the screen went completely white, no menu music played and just "not responding" at the top

I tried verifying game files and that changed it to a black screen with menu music then it stopped responding

weird issue but I got it fixed so doesn't matter

I was trying to find an error log so I could ask for help with more than just "dreamers killed my game"
