Hi so I’m trying to add rando to my sister’s Mac so we can itemsync together but she had to reinstall hk to make the controller connect. If I'm not mistaken, it randomizes the transitions between like, greenpath and crossroads, so crossroads connects to like royal waterways. As well as entrances to small rooms I think, things like slys shop and such

2. Download Modinstaller 1/ModInstaller 2 from the first pinned message
3. Move the mod installer to your desktop and run it as administrator
4. Select "Install" next to Randomizer 3 and wait for it to download all the extra required mods
5. Download Custom Knight
6. Check the 4th pinned message
7. Launch the game and check the top left corner, if the mod names show up there then you're good to start a new save

If by the "newest version" you mean the one with randomized swim, charm notches, and such. That's a beta version, if you want it you'll have to head to #randomizer, join the Speedrunning server linked in the pins, and head to the [#randomizer](/guild/283467363729408000/channel/582776564958363661/)-announcments channel, then install it from the pins and manually in stall it

This is because every mod needs to be updated to 1.5. Not only is this a lot of work, bigger mods possibly need to be reworked because some things changed. (Unity from 2017 to Unity from 2020 is 3 years of changes in 1 go!)

I know people have been working on various easy mode things, no idea how much has actually been done though

My best advice for that function of easy mode is to use Benchwarp. You can place a bench anywhere.

When you downpatch it'll remove the modding api, then when you launch mod installer it'll add the 1.4.3.2 api, then only the 1.4 mods will be working, the 1.5 mods might show up but that shouldn't matter. You can delete em if you want

Then that's your issue. You'll need to follow these steps: <#archived-modding-help message> note that the directory is for steam. You can use Scarabs "open mod folder" and go up from there though.

After you delete the assembly file and use the Galaxy equivalent of "verify files", you should be able to run Scarab again

I'm not certain since i haven't tested with scarab but the modding api is in your Managed folder, the one that contains the Mods folder, if you remove the mods folder it'll still have the modding api installed. And if you remove the modding api, it's gonna cause your game to not work in which case you need to verify/reinstall, or steam will do that for you

If it's a third-party controller, then you may have accidentally enabled Turbo mode.

Otherwise either:

• the button is defective, or
• your having controller input issues, which some People do get. If that is the case, then I usually recommend setting "forced controller input" on steam. Outside of that, you need to clear hollow knight registry date iirc

Hmmm, I'm not really sure why that wouldn't work. If you deleted all of the assemblies, and the verified the game and launched it, it should work.

Maybe you need to reset Scarab? I don't remember where to do that on Mac right now though

it ran the first time after I reinstalled vanilla

then I installed mod api and it still ran vanilla

then I tried again and black
