Hey guys, need some advice real quick

Sometimes, after I get VS from shaman, my character won’t actually wake up inside the mound. I don’t know why it softlocks like this, and no matter what buttons I press or how long I press he won’t wake up. I am running on 1.2.2.1, has anyone had experience with this?

PLEASE do not tell me to mash faster, or press different buttons. I can jitter 12 cps so I am not the problem here.

Yeah. The route wasn't the issue, even though I did die in some of the platforming sections. It was the bosses that clapped my ass. Watcher knight, ummu and HK destroyed me.

If you do want to kill bosses that fast, the problem is learning safety strats. If you choose to learn safety strats, you have have to screw with your muscle memory to learn it the right way

A way to get better at those is to turn on infinite hp and soul and go into a fight ONLY planning on getting triple hits

Eventually it becomes muscle memory and you get them way more consistently

On console. Can't do any of that. When I wanna try a strat I have to go through the pain staking task of getting back there then filling up soul, and so on and so forth

--i cant tell if you can spam it because 1.2 lacks the submechanic that if you do another DD, it cancels the previous DDs iframes, OR if youre just flat out invincible the moment you cast it

my GUESS is the prior, that youre still vulnerable during the initial first rear-up animation, but that 1.2 lacks the cancel that comes with doing another, so that every rear-up animation after during the first i-frames is invincible compared to the first animation. can someone please confirm which it is, please? ive been trying to test it but my tests have come up inconclusive.

the in-game time is often inaccurate & not used for any runs, even console - consoles generally use the same splits & livesplit as PC, they just split manually, and the loads are not removed.

i'd say the hardest individual trick in the run is QGA, but for a beginner, doing QG route is very optional. You can do the safer deepnest route and only miss 40 seconds of timesave

In general i'd recommend you give some practice to all the bossfights, Fireball skips, explosion pogo (mantis pogo too?) the shade skip, the watcher knights fight, the crystal peaks cycles, uumuu, QGA (if you're doing that route), beast's den and THK

Hello! While practicing sometimes I have my screen flicker and then my mouse cursor shows up and gets stuck in the middle of my screen. I was recording my first full run and it happened and then LiveSplit stopped updating in OBS but was still running. It also seemed to mess with the auto splitting as well. Personnaly I use slightly different method (1 fireball) because I'm comfy with it. (I dash left then dash right so I know the right timing, then pogo the shroom and dash>fireball>pogo the explosion>dash)

I think the 3 fireballs looks good if you're beginner

As the time goes you might find your own method, that you can stick with to be more successful.
I think those methods above are good enough for any skill range

you don't need to use the console anymore (in most cases) - both 1221 & 1432 are availble in Steam Beta. Debug can be downloaded via the modinstaller, save states are on SRC or the new server in pins

1221 all skills and 1221 te use a similar quick kill, cp 1xx + te use a similar shriek kill, and i assume 106 uses flukes or smth
