hard to say honestly. Watcher knights are by far the biggest roadblock for newer runners, but at the same time you could say uumuu 2cycle and fast THK fights with screamskips and such are very hard as well

Getting Sharp Shadow itself would also be a big deal. Like a minute loss as you have to go through Deepnest instead of QG, which is 40s loss, plus dipping right at the bench to grab the charm will take at least 20s, probably closer to another 40.

Of them main categories, true ending requires C-Dash to complete white palace, and the rest need to collect it as part of their own rules anyway. (Or cannot collect extra stuff, in the case of Low%.)

to give the flower to godseeker, you have to finish 2 pantheons. so a significant portion of the run is like a mini version of godhome ending to unlock the first 2 pantheons

If I didn't do it I wouldn't be speedrunning. Being able to complete the game in one sitting is an important step. Different people play at different levels, not everybody needs to play at the top level. This is why Nail 1 route or Deepnest route exists.

Truth being told there are parts that are just straight harder than 1221
See for example:
You have to kill Mario, on WatcherKnights the fact that the fireball disappear at the end of the screen makes the fight a little harder, THK is a faster and deals more damage, Petra Arena has more hps

But some parts are easier: like aspid arena, the exit after Herrar

Just start running... yeah it feels harder at first but it gets easier over time... i can guarantee you that almost all skips for current patch are in fact possible on the switch even if it seems impossible at first... my suggestion would be that you start with easier routes for the categories and slowly incorporate the harder bits

generally the most important ones for any% are going to be blue lake shade skip, spire pogo, and crossroads acid skip

#

spire pogo is simple, pogo off a background object at max height, dash into the wall at the right timing, and walljump, and it skips wings entirely

blue lake shade skip is a bit more difficult but gives much earlier right side city access, id watch a video for that

You can back them up elsewhere, and swap in backed up copies

as a very weak player myself i got a breakthrough when i learnt not to jump/dash around too much when anticipating their charges... if you stay on the ground and just do a jump when strictly needed it is much easier to dodge them - at least for me.

oddly enough it's much MUCH harder on current current patch (1.5) but much more doable on 1432 (which still falls under the cp umbrella)

So, it sounds like you've succeeded in the actual copying, but you're trying to set up separate installs to launch thru steam? I know there's a special code you need to include, but I just do it the ez way so I don't know where it needs to be added, but I'd double-check you got the code correctly when adding the 2nd version

Colette's version works, but if you want to have separate game installs, do you have the steam_appid.txt file?

If not, create a text file, type the code (I believe it's 367520), name it "steam_appid", and put it in the folder with the exe

theres a jump to get into hidden station that needs wings but you can use shade fireball, but im pretty sure theres a jump in white palace that requires wings, but idk where that is because if is after royal retainers then wings is not necessary

Longnail is much easier to my understanding that dreamshield. And easier on 1.4 vs 1.5. I don't know if there are any spelless tutorials floatinga round, but there are several spelless runners in the speedrunning server (in pins)
