Hey everyone, I'm attempting to downpatch to 1.2.2.1 and I've gotten to the cmd.exe and pasted "dotnet DepotDownloader.dll -app 367520 -depot 367521 -manifest 648876203478229944 -username Redacted -password Redacted" And all is well and good but it says that I do not have access to Hollow Knight on that account even though that's the account I own and play it on, can anyone give me some advice? dgates are often faster rta than quitouts

I got one during the Dung Defender fight, I like accidentally scream skipped and Ddarked right as the scream stopped and it just floated me up to the ceiling, and I couldn't move, and Defender couldn't kill me so I had to quit out. I have a video if you want.

yeah we call it edge cancel or ledge cancel. There are not many good usages of it since it's quite precise, but there are couple known setups to get it on purpose

if you mean any% nmg on cp then 1221 setup for 2 cycle won't work. In fact, there is no existing 2 cycle setup for cp any% at this point

Uumuu has different physics and nobody labbed out 2 cycle for it yet

after downpatching to 1.2.2.1 game no longer registers my controller (xbox 360), turning native input on doesn't help, neither launching it through steam. is there anything I can do?

hmm I haven't heard about xbox 360 controllers having this issue but some controllers weren't supported on older patches. One workaround you can do is use Joy2Key to map controller inputs to key presses. I'm not sure if there's a way to get it to recognize the 360 controller though

not that I have heard of - some people use it to make e.g. their switch pro controller work on older patches without issue. I used it to map a guitar hero controller and that seemed fine other than being a guitar hero controller

i use xbox 360 controller on 1221 natively, maybe it's some other weird issue

sometimes downpatching can mess with the game's registry, so my first thought would be clearing registry maybe

or unplugging/plugging controller

if you're on keyboard it shouldn't matter but on controller you might want to opt for the second option as "back" is usually also the focus button which can cause some minor issues for you in some situations
