Well there is always patching down a few patches to get the old controller support

No. If you've played the original hollow knight, you'll be familiar with the ending system. Beating the final boss just sends you back to right before you beat them.

(Of course, hk didn't have a way to progress ||past an ending, but yeah||)

It is a bit weird yeah. Basicly there's 2 "fake" ||endings in act 2, but if you do the longer more prepared "ending" (silk and soul quest), you progress to act 3||, which is permanent, unlike the first 2

Maybe calling them cutscenes is less confusing

||tools cannot be used in these so longclaw isnt actually on, reaper attacks way too slow and hits quite a small area, you should use something like hunters or crest #7 (idk if you have it)||

||for me it helped to mostly stay grounded and always hit the fleas in the order they fall, also I used wanderers but that's probably just personal preference||

||they all take 3 hits to fly away except for one flea, keep in mind how many hits they have left so if theyre on the last hit you can just double jump to it to get it out of the way (as long as the other ones arent falling of course)||

Also that, stay mostly grounded, doesnt mean no jumping but ||if you hit them while jumping they go higher and the higher they go the faster they fall, giving you less time to react, try to only hit the while jumping if you need to like for example: waiting in the ground instead of a jump hit means another flea far away will fall||

No, you can make your way out by finding white butterflies and play your needoline, then go in the direction they go

Hi, I was wondering if anyone might have any idea on how to get Silksong to stop being confused about my controller? For the yellow cogfly guys, stay directly below them and be aggressive with jump attacking while jumping over cogflies from the other one. For the last wave with two clappers, they stagger their attacks so you don't have to worry about both attacking at the same time but you're still best jumping around until they're close together so you're not dealing with one on either side of you. Ascendant's Grip will let you cling to the very top of the walls, which is out of range of all the clappers' attacks.||

if you do it like that you shouldn't get hit that much but you need to react quickly

for the projectiles, learn their trajectory and you should be good

I did try it normally and that's the strat I used (I got it first try, but I knew the boss' moveset beforehand)

for dodge, i honestly can't say, a lot of it is luck, but I would see be mindful of your ||double jump|| and only use it when necessary

also keep in mind that to my understanding they come in waves, where the incoming ||fleas|| can be either horizontal or straight down or diagonal, with a little bit of overlap between waves. this is most relevant because diagonal ||fleas||, which are by far the most dangerous, can look very similar to vertical ones which can be avoided by just standing on the edge of the platform

think of it as like. juggle is essentially four short timers, each staggered by one second, each resetting when you hit them, and if two sync up then you will probably lose

but if you hit each timer when it has roughly the same time remaining, or in other words hit each ||flea|| at roughly the same spot in its arc, the timers will stay staggered by one second and you won't lose

really it's more like half a second staggered but you get what i mean

||ngl for phantom u just want to play reactively, dont rush for no reason and u should be able to counter each of her attacks in a consistent manner. but for tool suggestions, i would say that for blue tools, u can go for pollip pouch, injector band, multibinder, or long claw; it is up to preference. pollip pouch is good for tool spamming, while injector band and multibinder are good for safety, and long claw kind of fits in that category of safety as well. as for red tools the best u got are either tacks, threefold pin, or cogflies. i would personally go for tacks and cogflies since u dont really need to think when using them, u can just lay tacks just about anywhere, and summon cogflies whenever u want to. but threefold pin is nice if u want better control of when u damage the boss. as for yellow tools, u definitely want to be using dice, but otherwise its not super important what u use. as for silk skills i personally find that thread storm is quite hard to use effectively on phantom, so i would say silk spear or sharpdart are good options.||
