      **The challenge is to create a new icon and banner for Memeology!**  

        We can't forget either, this contest has a challenge along with it!

**You must create a Memeology mascot that will be included in the both                                                                                     the banner and icon** 

For a long time we've had the iconic meme Pepe as the Memeology mascot, but now we are switching that up!!

**THERE WILL BE 2 ROUNDS. THE FIRST IS FOR THE ICON AND THE SECOND IS FOR THE BANNER. **2 winners will be selected in the first round. They will then go head to head in the second round, creating a banner with the same mascot used in their icon.

**We’ve resolved an issue where some members were being dmed by dyno with a message stating they had been banned from Memeology. This issue has now been rectified by Dyno and Memeology staff.

Dyno was NOT hacked. The developers did identify an issue where the softban command would DM users even if they were not in the server where the command was run, which is how the message was sent to users. No users were actually kicked or banned from any server, and this behavior has been changed so softban will fail unless the user is actually in the server.**

We are working swiftly to correct the issue, some of our fellow mods who were OPed on the server have had their info leaked.

Hope you're all enjoying the Minecraft server so far, we are glad you're all mostly settling in well after the few days of turmoil we had at the start.

Now we'd like to welcome our first Minecraft event for this collab, we will be running a Bounty event very shortly! (details below)

What's that? A mysterious player has appeared in strange gear!

The villagers hide in fear at this terror on the land, one village has already fallen tragically to their might.
A bounty has been placed on them! Who will be brave enough to take them out and save the villagers?

We have preliminary reports that they are carrying three crates of valuables they stole from their raids, these plundered goods must be recovered!

During the event a geared player will be running between a number of predetermined locations, the locations will be shared nearer to the time.

The three loot boxes will be placed at predetermined locations that the mysterious player will be running between.
If you can catch and kill the player before they reach their location, you will get the crate for that location + some bonus gear from the player themselves.

There are three crates for this event, each will have different loot depending on time, the first crate will be the lvl 1 crate, the last will be lvl 3.

The mysterious player
The mysterious player will be wearing the gear seen in the image below, parts of this gear will drop if you manage to kill them.
They will be buffed and therefore will be significantly more dangerous than your average player, expect them to be a formidable foe.
(The full gear set will not drop it will drop in parts, if killed the mysterious player will respawn at the next location.)

This will be a slightly larger event than last time, featuring multiple playable worlds in different gamemodes including everyone's Favourite anarchy setting, a survival non-anarchy world and a creative mode for those who find it hard to survive 15sec on survival mode. (Or for builders).

As we previously hosted many of the events stages for the previous server, the opening stage for this event will be primarily in r/memes however you are not required to attend. All members of each server will get access at the same time regardless of which servers they are in.

Rules for this event are more or less intuitive, but I must stress that anarchy behaviour should be kept to the anarchy world.

Upon announcement that people have cheated minorly in #517830904408834068 we will be currently announcing something that was already planned but is being announced now, the 2019 economy reset. We will reset all money in #517830904408834068 on the first day of 2019, and cheating will be enforced by paying back 10x the amount you cheated in (first time, the multiplier goes up by 10x every offence. 2 cheats = 100x 3 = 1000x) this should eliminate the reason to cheat as if it is discovered which is quite easy, you will be most likely in massive debt.

SO. Welcome back to another announcement. Currently there seems to be an issue with bots and some of them being hacked/controlled by someone. This is seen due to a couple of factors such as them sending invites as well as links that are both IP Grabbers.

A couple of these examples include these 2 images.

Whilst we are unsure of how and why this has occurred with these bots and what not, we would like to tell you to not press or click on any sort of any malicious link sent by these bots, or anyone for that matter. These can lead to several of your items and files on your PC being checked through and shared through hackers. For your safety, DO NOT, press on any of these links. Thank you for understanding.

there’s a discord scam going around where a hijacked account from your friends list will send you a dm claiming that someone is impersonating you and then send a link to a server with the ”evidence” where it tries to make you scan a qr code to a fake discord login screen that will grab your account info

New discord scam to look out for! A compromised account you are friends with will approach you. They will say that someone is impersonating you in another discord, and that the DMs were recorded in a server called "Name & Shame", and then block you so you can't talk further (1/2)
